Aria POV:

We get to my house and my mom isn’t home yet, neither is Kikwang.

We go in the kitchen and get a quick drink before going upstairs to my room.

“Wanna do homework?” Daniel asks. 

“Nah, I wanna take a nap!” I reply, getting in my bed. 

“Well you can do that then.” 

“Come nap with me, please?” 

“But I’m not tired.” 

“Well can you like come lay with me until I fall asleep? Please?” 

“Ugh, the things I do for you.”

He walks over to the bed and joins me. We lay down and I lay my head in his chest.

“Thanks for always being here for me Daniel.” I say. 

“I’ll always be here for you no matter what.” he replies. 

“I know Daniel, and I love you for that. I know I can truly call you my best friend.” 

“You’re such a girl. Go ahead and go to sleep.”

I feel him kiss my head before I fall asleep.

Daniel POV:

I kiss Aria’s head and watch as she falls asleep. I don’t want to move and disturb her sleep, so I end up falling asleep as well.

“Aria!” I wake up to someone yelling.

Aria sits up quickly and I sit up as well. We look to see her mom, looking very angry.

“Mom, what is it?” Aria asks calmly. 

“What are you doing here?!” her mom yells. 

“I live here?” 

“Really? Someone who lives with me wouldn’t gave talked to me the way you did yesterday.” 

“You’re the one who raised me.” Aria stands up and crosses her arms.

Aria’s mom just looks shocked at what she just said, I kind of am too.

“Aria, you shouldn’t have said that.” I say, standing up. 

“Whatever.” she turns back to her mom “What did you come in here screaming for in the first place?” 

“I saw Daniel’s car outside so I figured I’d come up and say hi, but I didn’t expect the two of you to be in bed together.” 

“We were taking a nap!” Aria yells.

I nod my head to let her mom know it was the truth.

“Mom, you know we usually sleep in the same bed together, it’s always been this way.” Aria says.

Her mom sighs. “I know. Aria are you still mad at me?”

Aria looks to the side. “Kinda.” 

“Why?” 

“Because you lied to me! You straight up lied to me and you’ve never done that! You’ve always been one of the cool moms who let’s me do what I want, but I never lied to you and I never expected you to lie to me. I would have taken it better if you told me before.” 

“Well then, I’m sorry Aria. Do you want to formally meet him?”

Aria gives her mom a look. “No? Why would I want to do that?” 

“Aria drop the attitude, a simple no would have been fine.” 

“Whatever. Are you going to cook tonight?” 

“Yes, and he will be here, so please be nice.” 

“Can Daniel stay for dinner then?” 

“If it’s okay with his parents, sure. Dinner is at 7, dress nicely.”

Her mom leaves the room and Aria sits back on the bed.

“You gonna call and ask your parents can you stay for dinner?” Aria asks me. 

“How about we just go over there, I want to change. We can walk if you’d like.” 

“Okay, let’s walk.”

We go downstairs and Aria tells her mom we’ll be right back, then we go outside and start walking to my house.

We get into my house and are greeted by my mom.

“Hey you two.” my mom says. 

“Hey mom, can I eat over at Aria’s tonight?” I ask. 

“Your mom is cooking?” she asks Aria. 

“Yeah, it’s been a while.” Aria says. 

“Well I guess that’s fine.”

We say thanks and go up to my room so that I can get changed.

Aria sits on my bed and waits for me to finish changing in the bathroom. I come out and we walk back over to Aria’s house. Now it’s her turn to change.

It takes her a little while to get changed. Go figure. By the time she finishes changing, we both hear the doorbell ring and we go downstairs and are greeted by her mom’s boyfriend.

He looks at us. “Aria and Kikwang?” he asks.

I laugh.

“No this is Daniel. Who are you?” Aria asks. 

“Aria.” her mom says in a warning tone.

Aria just rolls her eyes. “Well?”

“Youngdon, Im Youngdon.” he says.

I think for a moment, someone I know has that surname, but who?

Aria just nods and we both follow her mom and boyfriend into the dining room.

“Mom, where’s Kikwang?” Aria asks. 

“He’s on his way.” her mom replies.

We all sit at the table and wait for Kikwang to get home. We all just kind of talk until he gets here, it’s kind of awkward.

When Kikwang gets here and sits at the table, I finally figure out who has the same last name as this guy. Jiyoung.

Then I think about something else: Aria isn’t going to be too happy about this.
