Aria POV:

When I get home, I drop my school bag off, then go back out to walk to Daniel’s house.

I get to Daniel’s house and ring the doorbell, his mom answers the door.

“Hey Aria!” she greets me, smiling. 
“Hey Mrs. Chae, is Daniel here?” I ask her. 
“Yeah, he’s in his room, go ahead up.”

She lets me inside and I go upstairs. I knock on Daniel’s door and hear him say “come in”.

I open the door and walk into his room and see him laying in his bed with his eyes closed. I walk over and sit beside him on the bed.

I flick his forehead.

“Yah! What was that for?!” he yells, sitting up.

He finally opens his eyes and looks at me.

“What are you doing here?” he asks me. 
“I came to see my best friend since he wasn’t at school today.” I reply. 
“Oh.” is all he says. 
“Oh? Why weren’t you at school?”
“I didn’t feel like going.”
“So your mom just let you stay home cause you didn’t feel like going.”
“Pretty much.”
“Why didn’t you feel like going?”
“I don’t know, I just needed to stay home by myself today.”
“Why?”

He shrugs. “I don’t know, I just wanted to.”
“Hmmm, okay. Well you didn’t miss too much today. There’s a girl who transferred to our biology class.”
“Oh really? Where’d she transfer from?”
“She skipped grade 10, that’s all I know.”
“Must be smart.”
“Seems like it.”
“What’s her name?”
“Minzy, she was my partner today since you weren’t there. She seems nice.”
“Think you’ll actually get a girl friend?”
“Yeah, I think so.”
“Well that’s good.”
“I thought something was wrong with you, you butthead! I was so worried.” I pout. 
“I’m sorry Aria.” he hugs me. 
“Whatever, you could’ve texted me or something.”
“I’ve been sleeping all day!”
“Mhm, sure.”
“I’m not kidding!”
“Okay, okay.”

"Well, I guess I should get up. You must want to do something."

"That would be nice."

"Did you talk to your buddy today?" Daniel asks.

"What are you talking about, weirdo?"

"Henry, duh."

"Oh, nope. I saw him with Jiyoung and Soomi today."

"Ah, I see. So you didn't talk to him at all today?"

"Nope, I didn't get the chance to."

"Too bad."

"You're a jerk, did you know that?"

"Yeah, but you love me anyways."

"I could never stop loving my best friend."

"Good to know. Your mom home?"

"I have no idea, why?"

"Stay for dinner."

"That's fine with me."

We talk for a little while, then it's time for dinner. We go downstairs to the dining room and eat dinner with his family.

After dinner, Daniel walks me home and tells me he'll pick me up for school in the morning.

We exchange hugs and I watch him walk away, then I go into the house.

I'm glad he's okay, I was really worried about him.
