The first scene that Lu Han ran was of Yiru talking to a teacher upon his arrival at his university. Yiru is full of attitude and animosity, and is, more or less, a big . If there was any scene for me to worry about Lu Han pulling off, this would be at the top of my list, because anger is always one of the hardest emotions to portray. However, Lu Han pulled it off effortlessly, hands stuck nonchalantly in his pockets, an arrogant tone seeping into his voice.    The second scene developed the character of Han Yiru, and was a monologue. In it, Yiru puts together the clues to his first case. Again, Lu Han naturally fell into the role, just as I suspected he would.    Discreetly, I glanced over at Jenny, standing next to me. She had a pen stuck between her lip, and was watching thoughtfully. Once in awhile, she scribbled down a few notes onto a clipboard.    The last scene was the graveyard scene, at the end of the story, in which Yiru leaves his last words at his father's grave. Although Lu Han was completely off script, he caught every line, and had to do every little on-spot improvision. Even though I was no casting expert, I knew, just from these three scenes, that Lu Han had performed better than any of the seasoned actors we had auditioned before.    After running the lines, Jenny’s assistant led Lu Han back into the waiting room, and Jenny and I went into talk with the other directors.    “What did you guys think?” I asked nervously    Director Cai nodded, passing his notes over to Jenny. “You were right, Yejing,” he admitted, biting his lip and thinking hard. "He really is Han Yiru without much effort."   "And?" I prompted.    "He would be the best choice for this role,” Jenny added. “However, we would have to tack on more shooting time, since he is an amature."   Director Cai thought for a moment, and then waved for Assistant Yang again. "Alright," he said, making the decision. "Bring Lu Han back in, and go let Nana so we can run their scenes together. If they have chemistry, then we’ve got our leading man. We’ll have to allot an extra 2 weeks of shooting time because I expect he’ll make some rookie mistakes but I think it’ll be worth it.”   A few minutes later, Lu Han returned to the room, bowing respectfully at the directors again. Then he saw me, and a look of recognition flashed over his face.    “Oh , hey, did you get casted?" he asked, excited. "I never got your name before.”   I figured that this was probably the right time to tell him the truth.    “Actually," I started, scratching my head a little, "um... my name is Lin Yejing, and I’m…the author of Fiction or Fact.”   Lu Han's mouth dropped open, and his eyes widened in surprise. As he stared at me, I knew what he was thinking. He had thought, like the rest of the world, that Lin Ye was a male.    Suddenly, the door banged open, and Nana stormed in, head turned to snipe at Assistant Yang, who was behind her. "This is ridiculous," she snapped, tossing her hair haughtily over her shoulder.    "Nana, just -"   Assistant Yang’s argument was interrupted as Nana swung around to glare at the people in the room. "I don’t work with rookies," she snarled. Then, her eyes landed on...Lu Han. "Oh," she muttered, coming to a full stop. "Lu Han?”   Hearing his name, Lu Han snapped to attention. Turning to Nana, he bowed, extending his hand to her like how he had
