SACRIFICE

Don't Fall in Love with Me!!!

CHAPTER 18

     BANG! BANG! BANG!

Taeyeon couldn’t hide his surprise mark as he found his girlfriend hit the target nearly accurate and it was really great job for a new learner. She learnt fast; very fast if he might rephrase. He couldn’t help but smile while stuffing both his hands inside the pocket, kept watching her. Tiffany seemed didn’t notice it as her fierce eyes kept focusing on the target; practicing hard during all the session.

When he discovered her already earned another six bullets, he inched toward her as silent as possible then hugging her from behind; leaning his head on her shoulder. Tiffany frowned, felt distracted, but she knew she couldn’t help it as well.

“Taeng~aaaa,” she grumpled and heard Taeyeon giggled.

“Wae?” he asked. “Can’t I hug my own girl?”

“Ummm,” she shook her head, mumbling. “I’m on fire,” she said.

“With me?” Taeyeon asked playfully, earned a nudged from her.

“Seriously, Taeng…,” she pretended to mad. “On practicing.”

            “You did great.”

“Jinjja?” she turned back and flashed a smile.

“Hu-uh,” Taeyeon nodded and planted a kiss on her forehead.

“You dragged me deeper… into you…,” he whispered. “Is there anything you can’t do?”

Tiffany blushed hearing his cheesy remarks and hit him playfully.

“I can do everything when it comes to you, Taeng,” she replied. “Even if I am not able to do it, I will sell my soul to get it.”

            “You’re so cheesy,” Taeyeon huffed.

            “No, I wasn’t. I was serious.”

“You know I didn’t like it. I didn’t want you hurt yourself for me.”

“You begin to be unfair again,” she protested.

            “Yes because I love you.”

“And I love you too, Taeng. I want you see it, not just hear it,” she turned her lips down.

Taeyeon giggled and pinched her nose.

“You’re silly and cute,” he said. “I can see it every day, don’t worry, Fani~ahhh.”

“But I really want to do something to you, Taeng… Sometimes I felt like you didn’t need me to do anything for you…  I felt like you’re always the one who protect me and spoil me…”

“You didn’t happy with the way I treated you?”

“No, it’s not that,” she pulled herself closer and wrapped her hand around his neck; smiling seductively.

“I just want… you aren’t getting hurt anymore… I want be the one who make it… I love you, Taeng… Do I ask too much?”

Taeyeon displayed a smile heard her sincere words.

“No,” he shook his head and angled his face. “You gave me too much,” he leaned forward and saw her closed her eyes. He smiled in his victory and dropped a kiss on her lips.

“Taeng,” Tiffany called out his name while he was concentrating on driving. Taeyeon took a glance on her and threw a smile.

            “Ne?”

            “Have Yuri told you?”

            “Told about what?”

“He and Jessie were official!” Tiffany said cheerfully and clasped her hands.

            “Geurohgunyo???” Taeyeon asked in surprise.

“Hu-uh,” Tiffany nodded cutely. “Isn’t it great news?” she asked. “You didn’t know about it? He didn’t tell you yet?”

Taeyeon remained silence as suddenly his thought back to past; cogitating his father command. Damn! He couldn’t do it… He couldn’t kill her… But if he didn’t do it, his father would probably hurt or kill Tiffany. Damnit…

“Taeng?” Tiffany called him confusingly; noticing his face.

“Uh, oh, yeah… It’s great. Maybe he planned to tell me later,” he released a fake smile, but Tiffany snorted.

“Something’s ruining your mind, rite?” she asked understandingly.

            Taeyeon didn’t answer.

“Taeng? You remember to be honest to me,” she spoke up again.

But I couldn’t tell you about it, Fanny… How could I tell you that I have to kill Jessica to save you? It would eventually only burden you. You had nothing more to do with it… I would handle it on my own… I’m sorry, Fanny~ahhh

“Yeah, of course I remember,” he said.

            “So, what’s it?”

            “Nothing…”

Without looking at her, Taeyeon knew she’s glaring at him. He quickly went on.

“I mean, I didn’t figure it out yet,” he improvised. “But don’t worry, I’d tell you later after I’m sure about it.”

Tiffany didn’t seem satisfied enough with his answer but she didn’t want to push him more. She knew Taeyeon needed some space and she didn’t want to start another fuss with him. No, after she found how much she was really into him… and how much he loved her as well.

“Don’t be mad at me, please?” Taeyeon pleaded. “You know I couldn’t stand it, seeing you mad because of me…,” he said again, in the verge of desperation.

“Okay, I won’t ask about it anymore,” she spread a smile sincerely and clutched his hand.

Taeyeon smiled complacently. “Such a sweet girlfriend… You know exactly what you’re doing, Fany~ahhh…”

“Molla,” she quickly replied and made a dumb face.

“Locked me into your heart and dumped the key into the ocean. You did it again,” he said playfully.

“Such a cheesy!” she pretended to protest but couldn’t help to peck his cheek.

            “Hangsang saranghalgeyo Taeyeon~aaa…”

AT JESSICA’S HOME

“Hi, new couples, congrats!” Taeyeon yelled and opened his arms; facing the new couple was lingering side by side. Jessica flashed a smile and Taeyeon couldn’t help but teasing her.

“Is it my mind playing a trick or is it real that you’re brighter than usual, Sica?”

Jessica made a face and smacked his chest. Taeyeon giggled naughtily and pretended to stumble back.

“Ugh, she’s violent,” he complained and Yuri whined.

“Yeah, again and I’ll kick your out,” Yuri said, out of his expectation, but earned a giggling from the girls.

“What??? You’re not on my side anymore, my cousin?” he pretended to budge his eyes.

“Cousin? Who’s cousin? Now there’s only one name in my mind. Jessica,” he smirked.

“Look, how possessive he was. Do something for me, Fanny~ahhh… They attacked me,” Taeyeon asked for a help from his silent girlfriend.

“It’s your fault, Taeng,” Tiffany smiled cutely. “Don’t mess with new couple if you didn’t want to get hurt,” she said.

Yuri burst into laughter heard Tiffany didn’t grant his wish. “Look! Even your girlfriend didn’t want to plead you!”

Taeyeon grumpled and crossed his arms. “Fine. I’m leaving then!”

Tiffany shook her head finding her boyfriend acted childish. She held his hand; pulling him closer to her and curled her arms around his waist.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to not plead you,” Tiffany persuaded him sweetly.

Taeyeon still persisted with his fake angry face and Tiffany decided to play around.

“A kiss?” she offered; Taeyeon still didn’t move.

“Don’t want it?” she asked, with more intense tone.

Taeyeon struggled hard to stand it.

“Ah okay if you don’t want it. I won’t force you. I better help Sica prepare out the meal for our dinner,” she said indifferently and deliberately pulled him away, about to step forward.

One… two… three, she counted secretly without turning back. She knew what was going on next.

Tiffany smiled in her victory when she found her move was restricted as her hand was grabbed by him.

“Fanny~ahhhh… stop teasing me!” Taeyeon protested.

            “I didn’t,” she said. “So?”

“Hell… You know my weakness,” he mumbled.

“It’s your loss, then,” Tiffany smiled.

“No, it’s my happiness, instead. So I don’t need to tell you what to do to melt my heart,” he quickly made a smart state, then without waiting her anticipating, he landed a kiss on her lips. Making the new couple dumbfounded, felt beaten by their sweetness.

              HA! HA!

Yulsic! Practice makes perfect, okay? *Author’s note.

“Yul, I need to tell you something. Something important,” Taeyeon dragged Yuri into a room and locked it after making sure the girls were still busy at the kitchen.

“Aishhh… seems trouble is the friend of yours, rite?” he smiled.

“I bet you will shut it up after hearing this news,” Taeyeon said seriously and threw his smile away, abruptly.

“Was there another thread for Tiffany? What can I do for you?” he responded.

“No… It wasn’t for her,” Taeyeon said carefully. Yuri threw him a bemusement look.

       “If it wasn’t for her… why you look so concerned… I didn’t get it…”

Taeyeon was silence for a moment, as if composure himself to fire it away.

“My father asked me to kill Jessica and he would let my relationship run,” he said and Yuri was startled hearing it.

“WHAT???” he couldn’t control his voice and Taeyeon hastily smacked him.

“Control your voice please! The girls must not know about it!”

“Damn it!” Yuri scrapped his un-itchy hair, felt sudden tension all over his body.

“What should we do, Yul? You have any idea?”

“I’m sorry for being rude, but what if we kill your father?”

Hearing the words that really caught him off guard, Taeyeon burst into laughter and struggled hard to cover his mouth.

“Damn it! It’s the most beautiful harsh word I ever heard!” Taeyeon said.

         “Are you assented with me?”

“Once or twice I imagined that. He’s too mean, Yul… He didn’t have heart as well. Moreover, he threatened our life… And I can’t bear to be his slave anymore… But you know, you can’t just kill him as you said you wanted to kill him… It’s not as easy as it… He’s always one step ahead us. One wrong step and we’ll die… not just us… the girls we loved would be the victim as well… And we don’t want it happen, rite?”

       “Yeah, you’re right… Damn it again…”

“So… let’s focus on this thing first, okay?”

Suddenly Yuri snapped his fingers and smiled.

       “Taeng… I got an idea.”

       “What’s it?”

Yuri pulled him closer and whispered something near his ears. Taeyeon listened to him solemnly but at the next time his expression was changed into disagreement mark one. He shook his head firmly.

“No Yul. I won’t do it! I won’t put you in danger. You can’t risk your life!”

“Okay, I ask you, you have better idea?”

Taeyeon remained silence. He clenched his fist desperately as he didn’t have another idea.

“If you don’t do some action fast, your father would notice it and consider you’re not serious… he would think you just spin out some time and we already known… he might lost out his patience and directly meddle himself into us… and we both know at that time we don’t have anything to be anticipated anymore…”

“So… you don’t have any choice, Taeng…,” Yuri said.

Taeyeon looked at him sadly. “But… what if… it doesn’t work out, Yul? You… you just found your new love… it isn’t supposed to be happened… Jessica will never forgive me… And Tiffany will never agree with me as well…”

“I don’t know a weak Kim Taeyeon. Be a tough Taeyeon as you used to be, okay? We grew up together… and we already learnt that… there’s nothing in this world could be reached without any sacrifice,” Yuri said sincerely and patted his shoulder, giving him an encouragement. Taeyeon hung his head low, knowing he didn’t have any choice and had to agree with him.

They hugged each other for a moment, let their thought fly freely; didn’t want to be distracted with unraveled future.

“Seobang! You look little bit different today,” Jessica scrutinized his face for a moment but Yuri hastily smiled at her.

“Am I?” he pointed himself. “I don’t think so. It’s you, more sensitive toward me after we’re been an item,” he giggled and hugged her; distracting her curiosity, and it worked.

“Is it a good thing or bad thing?” she asked teasingly.

“Depends on where it eventually brings us to,” he answered wisely. “If your sensitivity brings us to a discord, you better throw it away. But if your sensitivity bring you closer to me and make you love me more, with all my heart I’d let you to grow it up,” he smiled.

“What such a perceptive boyfriend,” she giggled and kissed him.

“So, where’s to go now? Is there any shop you want to look around?” he asked and picked her shopping items from the floor.

“No, Seobang. It’s enough for today,” she smiled complacently.

“Okay,” he replied and when he had a chance, he sent a quick message to Taeyeon.

They were walking side by side and when he stole a glimpse at her, he knew how much he loved her. Leaving her was the last thing he would do in his life… But at the next second, she suddenly tilted her head to him and caught him was staring at her.

“Yaaa… Seobang… Why are you staring at me?” she asked and blushed.

“Nothing… I just enjoyed this moment,” he replied. “I enjoyed every second with you.”

“How could you be so cheesy?” she giggled in amusement. “I never expected that… because you seemed so indifferent when I knew you at the first time…”

“I’m not cheesy. I told you the truth. And about your first impression… it probably because I didn’t want to show off to every people. I kept my attitude for someone special. Someone like you,” he replied solemnly, making Jessica hushed in excitement.

“Don’t you know… I love you so much?” he asked again.

She nodded joyfully. “And don’t you know… I love you that much, too?”

“Thank you for loving me,” Yuri said and it seemed slightly weird for her, to hear Yuri said such sincere words like that in this moment. It wasn’t she didn’t like it, but a sudden strange feeling just emerged as Yuri spilled it out. They kept ambling, and finally out from the department store building. Yuri held her hand tightly and stepped forward and afterward, suddenly Yuri growled and slightly stumbled, then falling down on the ground.

Jessica shrieked in fear witnessing the sudden scene. Her eyes searching around and was back to him again.

She gasped in shock when she found his jacket was tore, at his upper right chest. And her knowledge told her that the thing caused it was a bullet.

“KWON YURIIIIIIII!!!!!!!” she fell down on knee and cried out. Felt so breathless and die at the same time.
