Never Say Goodbye

Anyhoo I really really really want to apologize for my long absense. School got in the way. I've seriously so sorry. Anyhoo...I hope you guys will forgive me and continue supporting my fic. I'm halfway through the next chap so it should be up in a couple of days! ^___^
And I appreciate any feedback...if its too slow paced/draggy...tell me and i'll speed it up...if its too fast paced....i'll slow it down! COMMENT PLEASE!

Chapter Nine
"It's been getting dangerous and I don't want you going out as much," Shin Hyunjoon said to Wonhee as she was preparing to leave the house.
"You don't have to worry about me," she stated while putting on her coat. "I think I'll be fine."
"How can you say that when you know for a fact that the purse snatching wasn't a coincidence," Hyunjoon stated seriously. He went to give his wife a kiss on the cheek. "I still think you should take a few of my men with you."
"Honey, I really don't want a mob following me around."
"I really insist that you do. It's for your safety."
"Yeah, but do you know how weird it is for a woman to have a bunch of guys "stalking" her as she's shopping. They'll probably think I'm a tramp or something.
"Sweetie, it's not like that! I'm just concerned, that's all."
"Fine, I'll take ONE with me," she relunctantly replied. "Where's your nephew at? He can be my '' for the day"
Hyunjoon chuckled at his adorable wife. "I'll get Yonghwa for you."

It was another busy day at the restaurant and Yoona just couldn't wait to get off. She and Seohyun had plans to go shopping. Within seconds Wonhee entered the shop and attacked Yoona with a big bear hug. She had become a regular at the store and Yoona knew exactly what she liked. However, today was different, she had an additional guest with her so instead of just bringing out the usual, Yoona had to go take their order. Yoona sluggishly made her way over to Wonhee's table, but immediately perked up like she always did when greeting a customer.
"So how are you and is this your boyfriend?" Yoona teased Wonhee.
Yonghwa immediately started shaking his head violently and waving his hands in front of him like a mad man insisting that whatever Yoona said was the furthest from the truth. Yoona laughed at the sight of him overreacting.
"Calm down. I'm just kidding. Do you know what you'd like to eat?" asked Yoona as she still chuckled at the thought of Yonghwa moments ago.
"Umm, just get me whatever she gets," he replied uncertain of his words. He had no idea what Wonhee ate; all he could hope for was that it wasn't something strange or disgusting. Well, surely they wouldn't have something disgusting because if that were the case no one would eat it, right? At least that's what he told himself as he waited for the food.
Moments after Yoona put their order in, Seohyun entered the shop with such a big grin, Yoona couldn't help but wonder what the deal was. Yoona approached her friend, "What's up with the face? You look super happy. So what's up? Fill me in!"
Seohyun laughed and light smacked Yoona on the arm, "Stop messing with me. I'm just happy cuz you said you'd find me a 'prince'."
Suddenly Yoona's crocodile laugh burst into the air. Tears nearly started streaming because she was laughing so hard. A frown grew on Seohyun's face, "wait, so we're not going 'boyfriend shopping'? I thought that's why you invited me shopping."
Yoona couldn't believe the words that were coming out of Seohyun's mouth. Was this girl serious? "Seohyun! Seriously, who does that?! I just figured we could hang out since we haven't gone shopping together in awhile!"
"Aish. You're crazy," Yoona shook her head in disbelief as she went to grab the food to serve it to Wonhee and Yonghwa. "Here you go. Is there anything else you need?"
Yoona was hit with an idea out of the blue. She immediately turned to Yonghwa with a devious smirk. "Are you single?"
Wonhee answered before he could, "Yes! Are you interested in him, sweetie?"
Yoona laughed, "No, I already have someone. I was just asking because my friend over there (points to Seohyun) thought you were really cute."
"Don't listen to her. She's a little cuckoo. She doesn't know what she's talking about. I'm not really interested in a relationship right now," Yonghwa stated as he glanced over towards Seohyun, only to find her braiding her hair as she stared out the window. He was a bit smittened by her beauty and innocence. Damn it. He spoke too soon, and now could only sulk with the regret that came from the previous decision.
"It's okay. So is there anything else you need?"
"No, we're fine, honey. So, I'm about to go shopping with my , here in a bit. Would you like to come along?" replied Wonhee.
"No, thank you. I already told Seohyun that we could go shopping when I got off."
"What?! You both can go with me! It'll be fun! And plus I even have this nice 'bodyguard' to protect us," Wonhee jokingly pointed at Yonghwa.
The same devious smirk appeared on Yoona's face again as she thought about taking this opportunity to hook her friend up with "the bodyguard" regardless of what he told her. "All right! I'll tell her."
Yonghwa delighted in this sudden turn of events. The gods were being kind and giving him another chance. He no longer had to sulk in his mistake. The boy had cheated death! As if they were even on the same caliber, but to him, they were.
Yoona headed over to her friend with a big grin and slapped her on the back. "Hey, buddy!"
"You off yet?" Seohyun turned and asked Yoona.
"Just about. Once they're done eating I can head out. By the way, I found you a boyfriend."
"Wha-what?!" Seohyun stuttered as she tried to take in what Yoona had told her. "Who?! Where?! When?!"
"Him!" replied Yoona, pointing to Yonghwa. She felt accomplished, as if she had had just found the cure to cancer or something. I mean, she did just fulfil her promise of finding her best friend a prince, didn't she? Yes, indeed she did. Whether or not they'd hit if off wasn't her problem. She did her part.
"HIM?! He looks so goofy," complained Seohyun as she analyzed him from afar. Why in the world was he wearing a suit to go shopping? His eyes met hers and she was greeted with a dorky grin. He looked a little too eagar, it was almost creepy. "I'm not too sure about this."
"Stop being so picky. At this rate, you'll never find somebody. Plus we're going shopping with them so you're gonna have to it up and behave. You can take this chance to get to know him." Yoona winked at her friend who was still dumbfounded by what she was hearing.

Seeing how Yoona had already found Seohyun a somebody, the girls took this opportunity to actually shop for clothes, instead of boys. The girls, including Wonhee, were having a blast trying things on and buying whatnots. One would think that "the bodyguard" would be miserable in this situation, but on the contrary, he seemed to be having just as much fun watching them. Something about seeing Seohyun laugh and smile brought about a sense of content in him. It was almost like watching a kid open presents on christmas, there's a joyous twinkle in their eye that they couldn't hide no matter how hard they tried. He knew for a fact that he was falling for her. But for some reason this girl that he thought was interested in him was constantly brushing off his every attempt to get to know her. However, he wasn't going to give up that easily. When he had his mind set on something, he was determined to go through with it.
"So Yoona, how are things with you and your boyfriend?" Wonhee asked, not knowing that she just brought back a plaguing thought. Although Yoona had put it behind her because she knew that it was irrational to behave such a way, she knew it would remain in the back of her head, like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. Part of her wanted to confront him about it, but the other part was afraid that it would put an end to their beautiful relationship and she didn't know if she was ready for that emotional toll. Little did she know, the emotional toll started the moment she saw the kiss.
"Umm, they're okay."
"You don't sound too sure about it." Wonhee noticed the uneasiness in her voice.
"That's because she's not," Seohyun jumped in. "Her boyfriend is cheating on her and she refuses to believe it."
Yoona quickly defended her position, "No, its not like tha-"
"What?! You're boyfriend is a two timer! Yoona, why are you still with him?!" Wonhee exclaimed. She couldn't bare seeing her "adoptive daughter" upset because of some guy.
"Auntie, it's really not like that?! I don't know if he is. I can't just assume things!"
Yonghwa indifferently added his two cents. "Maybe he has some issues of his own that he wants to sort out without bothering her."
"But you saw him kiss a girl. Is that not enought proof?" Seohyun interjected.
"Sweetie, if you don't want to assume things, you need to talk to him." Wonhee stated.
"All right. I'm thankful for your concerns, but you guys don't need to worry about my problems. I'm capable of handling them myself." Yoona stated frustrated with everything going on. She took a deep breath and let out an exasperated sigh, releasing her emotions for the wind to carry away. She then turned to everyone and with a smile, asked, "Anyone up for ice cream?"

Yoona was at Khun's apartment sitting on the sofa with her legs crossed, hugging a pillow in her lap. Nichkhun walked in with a bowl of popcorn and plopped right down next to her. They were fixing to watch a movie. Khun placed his arm around Yoona's and she leaned against his chest. While Yoona was occupied with the movie, Khun was just watching her. He had noticed that she had lost weight and looked more weary lately. He couldn't help but feel guilty. He knew for a fact that it was because of him. No matter how much she insisted on their relationship not being a burden, he knew that it was. What he didn't know was that it was really because of a misunderstanding, that kiss, the one that meant absolutely nothing to him. Regardless, it was still because of him.
"Hey sweetie, is everythink okay? You know you can always talk to me," Khun asked as he rubbed her arm.
"Hmm?" Yoona was caught off guard by him. She didn't know if she wanted to confront him just yet. "Umm, well, there is one thing. Have you-oh nevermind. It's nothing"
"Have I what? Did I do something wrong? Did I forget to do something?" Khun asked sincerely. He was so concern and Yoona could tell.
"It's nothing. Don't worry about it. Plus, the movie's getting really good. Pay attention!" She replied with a smile.
