Never Say Goodbye
Okay...okay.....i'm super sorry for not updating OTL
(side note: woah...i have 90+ subscriber ^___^ totally unexpected xP) BUT.....the reason i kinda quit updating was I thought no one was reading...so i kinda lost interest in writing...honestly...for 90+subs....getting only 5 comments per update is kinda discouraging >_<" .....But...since i realized that there are a lot of subscribers...i'll take that as a motivator to complete this fic for you guys! ^____^

Hope you'll enjoy this chapter?.....i felt like i was dragging too much so i just made everything happen suddenly...ish xD (technically it was already planned but just didn't know when to include it.
Also.....i'm thinking i might cut sweet potato couple's story from the fic....if you guys want it in there then i'll keep it...but i feel like there's too many storylines and you might not like me sharing the focus? tell me what you think. =/

Chapter Twelve
Yoona was on the bus heading to meetup with Nichkhun. He had invited her to have breakfast with him in town. She was in a rather chipper mood thanks to yesterday's eventful evening. She started rocking back and forth to the tune in her head. As she started planning out what the two were going to do today, she unknowingly began to hum. It wasn't to any particular song; just a random happy tune that in itself meant nothing, but combined with Yoona's elated attitude made all the difference in showing her happiness. Once she was off of the bus and walking towards her destination, she even found that her steps felt lighter as she bounced on the tips of her toes. She might have even started whistling, but sadly she didn't know how. This didn't change the fact that she was in a good mood though.
Yoona turned the corner and was approximately a few feet from the restaurant. She glanced through the window and noticed that Khun was already seated inside. Her smile quickly faded as she felt her heart sink down to her stomach. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Was this a joke?! There he was, whispering sweet nothings to another woman as she just smiled in response.
Yoona's hands began to tremble as she opened the door to the restaurant. She didn't know what overcame her. Everything felt so surreal and happened in a blur. She made her way over to Khun and slapped him before running out of the restaurant. He chased after her and grabbed her by the wrist to stop her.
"It's not what it looks like!" Nickhun stated defiantly.
"Is that so? Do you take me for a fool, now?" Yoona snapped at him. She felt her emotions rising. Her hot anger left a burning sensation against her chest. Her tears laid at the brim of her lashes, waiting to fall at any moment. But she would not allow it. She would not let herself be weak in front of him. She mustered up all the strength she could find and continued, "Is that why you're with her now? You couldn't stand being with someone as foolish as me, huh?"
Nichkhun was silent for a moment. It was hard seeing Yoona hurt because of him. His determination seemed to have faltered a bit, but he quickly snapped out of it. He calmly stated, "I have my reasons."
The other woman appeared beside Khun and locked her arms around his right arm. She glared at Yoona and then looked back at Khun with softer eyes, "Are you okay?"
A bitter chuckle escaped Yoona's lips, "I really am a fool. How could I have ever believed in you, in anything you've said. That you would be my champion, protecting me from any danger or pain. What a joke! Consider this my lesson, learned. WE'RE THROUGH!"
Sometime between her bitter chuckle and the completion of her rebutal, she lost control of her emotions. Her hot tears began to sting the skin of her cheeks. She hated herself for appearing weak before him, and even more so, her. How could she let the other woman feel that she had a power over her, but the truth was, she did. She made Yoona feel feeble and inadequate, that she wasn't worthy. She quickly removed the necklace that he had given her and with all her might, she tossed it at him. Before he could say anything else, she had made her escape.
Khun stood in disbelief. He couldn't believe it was over. That they were really over. He bent down and picked up the necklace. He stared at what once was a cherished gift, was now nothing more than a random trinket, lying meaningless in his hand. The girl beside him stared at him with concerning eyes.
"Are you sure that's what you wanted? She seemed pretty hurt."
Khun nodded and replied in an almost inaudible whisper, "Yeah. It's the only way. She'll be fine with time. She's a strong girl. I know she'll get pass this."
"And what about you? How are you handling this?"
He gave her a weak smile, "I'll manage. And thanks again for doing this. Sorry for making you the bad guy."
"It's okay. I'm the one that owes you. Thanks again for saving my life." She gave him a quick hug. "Well, I gotta get going. I'll see you around campus."

Taecyeon entered the hospital but didn't go to her immediately. He walked about the corridors still unsure of what to say and how to say it. He continued to wander aimlessly until he reached the garden. It was then that he saw her. His heart stopped for a second. He still didn't have the slightest idea of what to say. He decided to just stand and watch her. Her actions were the same, her smile just as sweet, he was unaware of the smile forming on his face. But it vanished just as quickly as it had appeared. A guy had approached her and Taec couldn't help but feel somewhat hurt seeing the way her face lit up at his arrival. Taec took a couple steps back and stood among the shadows of the tree. He just continued to stand and watch her once more.
The guy seemed unhappy and her reaction reflected his. Who was he to her? Why was she so bothered by the fact that he was unhappy. Taec couldn't help but feel a tinge of jealousy.
After several minutes, the two finally parted ways. The girl made her way back to her room, and Taec followed. He entered the small space, only to be met with her intense stare.
"What are you doing here?" she said, almost too coldly.
"I-, umm-, how are you doing?" He evaded her question hoping that she wouldn't press on.
Her eyes narrowed as her attitude towards Taec seemed to only deepen. "Well, I certainly have had better days."
"Have you started the treatment, yet?"
His question startled her, but it didn't change the fact that she was still annoyed by his presence, "Oppa, I've told you this several times already. I'm not going to do it."
"Why not?! I don't understand why you won't even give it a try. What are you so afraid of?!"
His persistence frustrated her, "What does it matter?! Why do you insist on making it difficult for me?"
"You know that's not what I'm trying to do. I just want to help you!" He was hurt to know that she thought he was intentionally making it hard for her. He just wanted to show her that he cared.
"Well, I don't need your help. I'm doing fine on my own," the girl insisted.
Taec's eyes shifted to the ground as he tried to hide his guilt, "I'm sorry I left you when you needed me."
When she saw his expression, her attitude dissipated. She hated seeing him like that. She didn't understand why he was the one that felt guilty when it was clearly her at fault. She frowned, "Don't be, I was the one who broke up with you, remember?"
"I still should've stayed by your side."
She heaved an exasperated sigh, "This is exactly what I didn't want. I didn't want you to feel obligated to stay by my side. The reason I broke up with you is to give you the freedom you deserve. I don't want to be a burden on you."
"You aren't! You never have been!" Taec adamently asserted.
"Oppa! Please. Can't you just respect my final wishes?" She looked at him with pleading eyes.
"Yuri-ah, You know I care about you and just want you to be happy."
"Then, please, don't force yourself to do this. Don't make me feel even more guilty than I already do."
Taec closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "Fine. But answer me this. Do you like him?"
Yuri was silent for a moment. At first she didn't know what he was talking about, but once realization hit her, she knew there was no point in hiding it from him. He knew her all too well , "Yes."

Nickhun was making his rounds, pulling charts from all the empty rooms. He was suddenly pushed against the wall and pinned there by a stranger. He didn't see it coming at all and had absolutely no idea who this man was.
"What are your feelings towards Yuri?"
"I-, uh-, I don't know? She's my friend." Khun quickly gathered his thoughts and shoved the guy off of him. "What the heck, man? Who the heck are you?"
"Nevermind that. Do you like her? Or care about her?"
"I don't know."
"Well, you better figure it out soon. Cuz she likes you. And you're the only one that she'll listen to."
"What are you talking about?
Khun was so confused. The guy ignored all his questions and kept saying all these things about Yuri. He was absolutely lost.
The guy approached Khun again and pulled out an envelope. He pressed it against Khun's chest, waiting for him to grab ahold of it.
"Convince her to get the treatment. Maybe if you persuade her, she might see that there is a reason to try and fight it."
With that said, the guy disappeared even faster than he had appeared. Khun was dumbfounded. His eyes widened in surprise when he saw the amount of money in the envelope. Why would Yuri need this much money? And what was she being treated for?
Khun hastily made his way to the records and searched for her file. When he finally found it, he quickly scanned her charts. His body became numb as the file slipped from his hands, hitting the cold, hard floor. He couldn't believe his eyes. It couldn't possibly be true. She seemed so lively, spirited, and healthy. There's absolutely no way the charts were real. That's it. They had to be fake. That's the only logical thing he could conjure up because he could not, would not, believe that Yuri had leukemia.
