[December 20, Friday]

Four days before the said date that I would die.

Kyungsoo crossed out the date today in his pocket calendar. He looks at the sleeping boy beside him, the boy’s eyebrow were creased together. Kyungsoo placed a finger in between to remove it and the boy’s face seems to relax now.

“Kyungsoo!” Baekhyun called Kyungsoo who had just finished eating his lunch and just stepped back to the ICU. “Look at him!” Baekhyun pointed at the patient who was at bed #1. His fingers were moving yet his eyes were closed. Kyungsoo was astonished and quickly run to the patient’s bed.

“Yes, that’s right.” Kyungsoo cheered on the patient. “You can do it, Jongin.”

“I’m back.” Kyungsoo called but there was no response, this had begun to make him worry. “Kai?” he walks to the living room and there was no Kai on his sofa, he tried the bed room but still no one was there. He started to get worried and took out his hand phone. He realizes something. Kai doesn’t have a damn phone. He sat on his bed and placed his face on his palm.

Just where is he… Please come back…

Kai, who was wearing a thick coat, was standing on the bridge where the accident that replays over and over in his dream happened. He held out a newspaper with a headline that says:

[Bus-car crash at Banpo Bridge. Model, Kim Jongin, in comatose.]

Kim Jongin… is that supposed to be me?

Kai went back to the apartment around in the middle of the night. To his surprise, the lamp shade in the living room was open and Kyungsoo was sleeping on the sofa.

Was he here all night waiting for me?

Kai brushed Kyungsoo’s cheeks with the back of his hand. Kyungsoo’s brows turned to a crease in the middle.

Is he having a nightmare?

“Jongin…” Kyungsoo mumbled. “You can do it…”

Kai was surprised upon hearing that name.

 Jongin… kyungsoo hyung, you know who Jongin is? You know who I am?
