A/N: SOOOO I noticed in the first couple of chapters Yixing calls Luhan, Luhan gege, and now apparently he calls him Luhan hyung xD oh me and my changes, should I change it back to gege though?

“How about this Luhan hyung?”

“Yeah that cake would be perfect! Yixing loves chocolate.”

“Good, let’s just get them to write get well soon in the middle and we’re done.”

“What’s taking them so long? Luhan hyung said they’d be here in 10 minutes?”

“Stop complaining I’m sure they’d be here so-“

“OPEEEN UP!”

“See?” Kris said as he gave an “I told you so” look at the other.

Kris stood up and opened the door revealing three happy familiar faces, and a cake.

“Hey Krease I decided to drop by again” Chanyeol said with a grin.

“Hello there Yixing’s roommate! Have you been taking care of Yixing?” Baekhyun beamed from behind Chanyeol.

“The name’s Kris, and I think your friend is capable of taking care of himself” he said with a sigh

“Seems like Yixing’s been trouble huh?” Luhan added

“Kinda, well that’s not new anyways right?”

Luhan chuckled at the other “I guess not”

“Hey I’m right here you know?” Yixing pouted

“Oh yeah right, anyways we bought you a cake!” Luhan exclaimed

“Really?! Is it chocolate? Is that why you guys took so long to get here?”

“Well Chanyeol-ssi, mind explaining?”

“Ahaha..haha..ha of course!” Chanyeol nervously laughed as he scratched the back of his head, a habit he developed when he starts getting nervous.

“Well Baekhyun texted me if I wanted to come a while ago but I only saw his text just now and I texted them to wait for me, sorry” Chanyeol explained apologetically.

“Oh it’s okay then Chanyeol-ssi.”

“Enough of that why don’t we all eat?” Luhan proposed

“You guys go ahead, I don’t really like chocolate” Kris said as he went straight for his laptop which was on his bed.

“Aww Krease come join us here, let’s all eat together.”

“But I don’t like cho-“

“Why don’t I buy another cake then?” Baekhyun interrupted

“I’ll buy one with a different flavor so we could all enjoy, besides, we forgot to buy drinks too, so we’d had to go out and buy eventually, while we’re at it, why don’t I go and buy dinner too since it’s kind of dinner time already, let’s just have the cakes for dessert, and maybe ice cream, yeah that’d be good”

“Slow down on food Baekhyun, I know you’re a glutton and all.”

“HEY! I’m not, I just,…suddenly craved that’s all.”

“Okay whatever you say.” Luhan said in a sarcastic tone that Baekhyun chose to just ignore

“So anyways, it’s settled I’ll go buy stuff.”

Luhan was about to volunteer to go with Baekhyun but Chanyeol was faster than him and had already volunteered himself. After Luhan had listed the things they’d buy the duo went off leaving the three alone in the dorm to wait. While Yixing busied himself with Luhan’s rubix cube, Luhan took the chance to talk to Kris.

“Hey Kris.”

“What?”

“Thanks for looking out for Yixing, was he trouble?”

“Well by means of being annoyingly stubborn, then yes, he was trouble.”

Luhan chuckled at Kris’ comment

“Yixing is just like that, you know under that unicorn-ish personality of his, he’s actually a great person.”

Kris smiled at Luhan “You love him that much huh?”

“Of course I do! He’s my best friend you dope.”

“Are you sure it’s only like that?” Kris teased Luhan suggestively wiggling his perfectly shaped eyebrows at the other.

“Oh go a di-“

“Luhan hyung your language!” Yixing shouted from the other corner of the room

“So according to this list Luhan hyung wrote, we have to buy Mango cake for Kris-ssi, drinks for us, maybe cola’d be good, pizza for dinner, aand ice cream for desserts.” Baekhyun said with much excitement in his voice. Baekhyun looked much of a kid to Chanyeol though, and the other couldn’t help but find it adorable.

“Uhm Baekhyun we could buy mango cake at the café Kyungsoo works at, maybe we’d get a discount again?” Chanyeol hopefully said.

Truth be told, the café where Kyungsoo works at was quite far from Yixing and Kris’ dorm but with the other’s hopeful looking face Baekhyun couldn’t find it in his heart to turn him down and instead he agreed.

“That’s a good idea Chanyeol-ah~ We should order pizza first though so by the time we’re at the cafe the pizza’d be done and all we have to do is take it on our way back, that good?

“Yeah that’s great Baekhyun-ah” Chanyeol said satisfied with Baekhyun’s agreement.

The walk to the cafe was further than what they had expected, it’s been almost 20 minutes and they weren’t there yet. The cafe was located near the university they are attending. Their walk was quiet besides Chanyeol’s constant asking for forgiveness which Baekhyun also constantly accepted. Baekhyun texted Luhan and Yixing though to let them know that they’d be running late, and with a few more minutes, they arrived at the said café. With the familiar sound of the chimes after the door had been opened, Chanyeol and Baekhyun was greeted by the former’s friend.

“Chanyeol-ah what brings you here? Oh Baekhyun-ssi’s here as well, hello there.” Kyungsoo greeted them with a smile.

“Hello Kyungsoo-ssi, we were hoping to get a discount on a mango cake.” Baekhyun said straightforwardly with a hint of embarrassment on his face.

“Yeah Kyungie can’t we get a discount again? Pretty please?”

Chanyeol spent a good amount of pleading until Kyungsoo agreed to give them a discount again. Baekhyun was casually watching them secretly flinching every time Chanyeol calls Kyungsoo “kyungie” and every time the smaller would hit Chanyeol in return. The two seemed to have forgotten that Baekhyun was still there since they seem stuck in their own world so Baekhyun instead went and checked out the other cakes in display. Little did he know that he was actually the topic of Kyungsoo and Chanyeol’s conversation.

“So Yeol, you really like him huh?” Kyungsoo teased his tall friend.

“W-what? Like who? What no of course not, haha..ha..why would I like Baekhyun, besides I’ve dated girls before and I’m obviously straight so no.”

“I haven’t even mentioned a name yet Yeol. Someone’s getting defensive.” Kyungsoo said elbowing the other.

“Oh shut up I’m not, I just well, like him in a friendly way, he’s a really cool guy you know.”

“Whatever you say Yeol, now here, go get your cake and get out of here, your Baekhyunnie’s waiting over there you know.”

Chanyeol flinched at the nickname. “Hey don’t call him that”

“Defensive~”

“Why you puny little pie-“

“Baekhyun-ssi! Cake’s ready! Go get Chanyeol over here, and thanks for buying “ Kyungsoo said cutting Chanyeol off.

“Thank you for giving us a discount again Kyungsoo-ssi, I’ll definitely come again.” Baekhyun finished with his popular eye smile.

…whooaa, no wonder Chanyeol’s head over heels for him…

“No problem Baekhyun-ssi, have a safe trip home.” He said as he winked at Chanyeol who was visibly fuming from all the teasing he received from Kyungsoo and with that they left the café with Chanyeol giving one last look at Kyungsoo which read, “I’m going to kill you.”

“What were you talking about there Chanyeol-ah?”

“O-oh it’s nothing, Kyungsoo just asked what we needed the cake for, yeah that’s it.” Chanyeol nervously said.

“Oh I see, speaking of what we need it for, let’s go hurry and buy the other things, the others might be dying of hunger right now.”

Chanyeol nodded and couldn’t help but notice the sudden drop of the other’s mood.

…could it be that Baekhyun overheard our conversation? Stop being paranoid Chanyeol, even if he did, what Kyungsoo said wasn’t true so it’s okay, yeah everything’s okay…

“Why aren’t they here yet? Aahh I’m really hungryyy.”

“Luhan hyung clam down, they texted right? I’m sure they’d be here in a moment.”

“Man you two are really best friends, always impatient and all.”

“But it’s true they’re talking too lo-“

And with that Baekhyun and Chanyeol bursted through the door with handful of plastic bags. And again, Kris did not fail on giving Yixing and Luhan his “I told you so look”.

“Sorry we took so long! But here’s the food, so let’s eat!” Baekhyun cheered as he carried the plastic bags to the table along with Chanyeol. After they had finished setting the table, Baekhyun called the others so they could huddle up and eat. Luhan assisted Yixing and when they were finally settled, they proposed cheers for Yixing’s fast recovery.

“Thanks for visiting! Have a safe trip home! Especially you Baekhyun-ah! I think you ate too much, I never knew someone could eat as much as you!”

“Yeah Baekhyun-ah basically devoured our food didn’t he?” Luhan added

“Hey stop picking on me! I was hungry you know…” Baekhyun reasoned out

“Also the way to his house is the same route as mine so we’re gonna be fine.” Chanyeol said as he pointed to Baekhyun.

“Y-yeah we’ll be okay, now rest Yixing hyung, we’ll try to visit again.”

“Yeah and by that time I hope you’re not straining yourself, understood unicorn?” Luhan asked well more like demanded at the other.

“Yes sir!”

“Your friend wasn’t kidding when he said he was hungry.” Kris said starting the conversation after the three had left.

“It’s the first time I saw someone so small and petite ate that much too! I was kinda surprised as well, I only usually eat a lot when I’m depressed though.”

“He reminded me of my friend back at China, he eats a lot too, he can actually finish a whole pizza all by himself and still be hungry.”

“Wait, I thought you were from Canada?” Or did I hear you wrong, I’m kind of confused now.” Yixing asked.

“Well we moved to Canada when I was 16 I think? So basically I still spent my childhood days in China. We moved to Canada because of the company my father works at.

“Oh I see, hey, is the friend you’re talking about the one on the picture?” Yixing curiously asked since their previous conversation sort of got cut when Chanyeol brought their breakfast.

“Picture? Oh you mean Tao? Yeah he’s the one I’m talking about. He’s my childhood friend. He has been my neighbor ever since I could remember.”

“Oh so he’s your childhood friend then.” Yixing said but deep down he was kind of relieved when he found out what their relationship was although he wasn’t so sure why.

“Yeah, we’re still in touch though, I haven’t lost communication with him ever since we moved, and up till now were still communicating and stuff.”

“So he’s like the Luhan hyung in your life huh?”

Yeah, except he’s not that annoying.”

“HEY!”

“Calm down I was kidding unicorn” Kris said as ruffled Yixing’s hair earning a blush from the other. Ever since they got over what they called was a fight, Kris tended to be more open with Yixing, constantly talking to him and what not. Not that Yixing minded though because he really didn’t, it actually made him happy considering that Kris is actually opening up to him.

“So this Tao friend of yours, is he still in China?” Yixing pressed on

“Yeah, but he said he’ll be going here in Korea in a few months since he has this tournament.”

“Tournament?”

“Yeah he knows Wushu, amazing huh?”

Yixing only nodded but deep inside he couldn’t help but wonder why he felt jealous right then and there. The way Kris’ face would light up when Tao was mentioned, the way he compliments the other. It made him cringe because as far as he remembered, Kris always teased and mocked him for being forgetful and all. He couldn’t help but think that maybe Kris genuinely hated him and was just trying to get along for the sake of their dorms atmosphere. But then again, Kris isn’t the friendliest one on the block so maybe his friend is just that special.

“Tao, was there for me when I needed him, he’s kind of my brother actually.” Kris said as he looked at Tao’s picture on the memo board he arranged before.

“Oh I see, you two must be really close then.” Not wanting to press the issue further, Yixing decided to cut their conversation since emotions unknown to him suddenly crept up and he couldn’t even distinguish what these emotions were, and if they were positive or negative, but possibly leaning towards the latter.

“Hey I’m gonna sleep now Kris, thanks for opening up, I appreciate it since you know, I’m not the first one on your list.

There was much hurt and disappointment in Yixing’s voice and Kris could clearly feel it. He felt guilty somehow but ignored it since Yixing was just probably tired. So he bid his roommate goodnight as he went for bed himself, and their conversation ended there.
