“ Donghae are you sure you've never done this before?” Hyukjae said as he saw how good the other was doing when shooting the targets in front of him. He never thought that someone would learn to shoot that well in this small amount of time.

He looked at said man who just made a ‘tsk’ sound and raised his eyebrow and gave him an in-your-face-Hyukjae , and a who-is-making-fun-of-who face whistle the elder was just skeptical about it, but then Donghae smiled and started giggling for no reason.

“What?” the brownish-head asked.

“Control your face man”

“What? “

Donghae just kept on giggling as he skipped the few targets that were in front of him and got to where hyukjae was standing alongside with amber. Now that girl he was still confused of how he should describe how he feels about her presence there. She is so clingy and he, for sure, did not like how she would put her hands on the elder whenever she got the chance of doing it. She would also call him names that would push him off the cliff and make him want to puke because of how sweet they were, not that sweet things make him puke

But on another hand, she was a person that doesn’t show what she is thinking about, she showed no emotions, unless it was Hyukjae she was talking to. But he didn’t really have any proper conversations with her.

Who is she though?

Donghae couldn’t help but think about that question again and again. It was driving him crazy, because he couldn’t put his finger on any answer. The girl would act like a girlfriend to the other sometimes, then like a friend on others, but then she would act so careless and nonchalant not caring about her image, or her being a girl to act like one. She was cold and wouldn’t even look at him, not that he wanted her to look at him, unless she glares at him for no proper reasons, which let him angry for some reason. And who wouldn’t get angry at someone that glares at them for no reason, she was like that as if to say that Hyukjae is hers? Maybe she is his girlfriend…

At that Donghae frowned and looked up at Amber just to find her locking her eyes on him thus he averted his gaze.

“Oppa” Donghae heard her say. “Should we go back now, I think he already knows how  to shoot”

“He does actually” Hyukjae nodded and took the gun from donghae, to put it in its case. “How?” He asked the other while closing the cases and organizing the tools.

“You can say I practiced it as a hobby” Donghae answered gaining a surprised look from the former and a frown from Amber.

Hyukjae hummed and mentioned for him to follow his track; going out of the practice room.

They were now back at the house, and the elder thought it was time for them to eat.

 Donghae thought that the house was too quiet, no talking, no laughing, no TV…no nothing. It was as if the house was actually empty besides the little noises the owner would make in the kitchen; because he was the one cooking with Amber. Both of the latters were silent, not even talking about anything thus he decided that it would be better to go and watch them cook, because he had nothing to do anyway. He entered the kitchen and no one even looked at him; Hyukjae was chopping some onions, squeezing his eyes to prevent tears from going down his face while  Amber was getting the plates out from the drawers before turning around and brushing her fingers over Hyukjae’s face wiping away one tear that managed to escape.

Donghae unconsciously bit on his lip to not actually growl at the action; he just couldn’t take Amber’s actions, it’s not that she was doing something that was not proper, he just didn’t stand her touching and doing those kind of things to his Hyukjae, when he had been staying with him and could not even touch him as he pleased –no dirty thoughts- but again, he himself does not know what Amber is to the other, because if she wasn’t someone close to him he knew that she had no chance of touching him without getting a great punishment afterwards. Hyukjae wasn’t someone that would tolerate being touched by anyone. Donghae was so deep in thoughts that he didn’t notice the star of his thoughts was calling him until the he shouted; the younger jolted in his place and saw the other walking out of the kitchen.

“Let’s eat” Hyukjae said with a calm voice.

Donghae then walked out of the room and took a place next to Hyukjae who already started eating, while Amber was still washing her hands ,he started shewing on his bread but couldn’t eat properly as he felt a weird vibe from behind him. Donghae slowly turned around, and looked up at, it was Amber standing by his side, he stopped shewing and waited for something to happen.

Amber looked at him with her motionless face and mouthed a ‘my place’ to him without even bothering to make a sound nor even to speak.

What now? He won’t be even eating next to Hyukjae ?

Donghae ignored her words and slowly, carefully looked at the dark-head. The latter wasn’t even looking at him, but he looked up when he probably felt his gaze on him. Hyukjae looked at Amber, then at him and turned continuing his eating after mouthing in his turn a ‘her place’ .

The little amount of hope the younger had in him crushed down  hence he just sighed before standing up and sitting down at the other side of the table. He saw Amber’s sickening smirk and swore to get his revenge somehow, someday. Childish thing, but he still has to do it.

 “What to do next?” He heard Amber asked , after everyone finished and did the table .

“Donghae has to train, so we are going out for a run” Hyukjae stated

‘ugh, I hate running’ the younger thought, not really bothering to say it out loud because he’ll have to do it anyway.

“So it’ll be from here, to there” Hyukjae said while pointing at a really far away tree. “And you’ll turn around from there to get back here” He said as he looked at Donghae who was cursing at how many miles he had to be running. “Got it?” Hyukjae asked.

“Yes” He sighed.

They started to run, and he really didn’t think it’ll be this tiresome, he used to run, a lot even, but he just didn’t have the mood to do it right then. They were at their third round and he couldn’t take it anymore, knowing that he had seven more to go.

“Come on Hae, you’re so slow” Hyukjae said, as he passed him followed by Amber that insisted to go along with them. “Even Amber is doing better than you right now” He added.

“Are you taking me lightly?” Amber asked as she passed Hyukjae by a little.

Donghae frowned at the words that were spoken to him and couldn’t believe the former had to turn out like this, like everything he says, everything he does was now related to Amber. He just humiliated him in front of that girl and heck he won’t be accepting this.

 “So you want me to show you how good of a runner I am?” He asked and smirked at the same time.

He then accelerated his pace and made sure to exceed both Hyukjae and Amber who tried to catch up with him but couldn’t. ‘Yes bastards, I can run well’ He thought as he kept on running without even looking around, but once he did, he found out that he was alone, in the middle of the forest, no trace of neither Hyukjae nor Amber.

“Great, I lost them” He said as he started to slow his pace down. “ugh, I am exhausted” He added. Donghae looked around for any low trees, because resting on a tree was something he has always done. He spotted one and ran to it, lacing an arm around a branch of it, he helped with his legs and climbed it. He sat in a way that he’d feel comfortable and spotted Hyukjae walking around the place. ‘He looks worried’ He thought.

“Donghae !” said person saw and heard the elder scream.

“OH” He breathed. “So they are looking for me?” He giggled and decided to make them look for a little bit more, because that was fun to him, well ,  you never get the chance to see the all cold and calm Hyukjae freaking out like he was doing right then. Even Amber looked worried.

Donghae waited, and waited, and waited but no one guessed his place thus he readjusted on his place, leaning on the tree, still on its branch, feeling  lazy,his eyelids were starting to get heavy, and he couldn’t help but close them and enjoy the light breeze on his skin. “I’ll just rest for a minute” He says before his breathing stables.

“Where the hell is he?” Hyukjae growled as he sat by a tree because he was now exhausted. He freaking ran five times in and out of the forest but no sign of Donghae was found. He does not know how and why, but the latter just vanished after saying that he’ll show them he is good at running.

“Calm down, we’ll find him” Amber said as she leaned against the tree too.

“Do you know what will happen if the other members find him? They’ll kill him Amber. They’ll kill him.” He shouted again because he was on his limits, he was boiling. What if Donghae ran away on purpose, he shouldn’t have had trusted so easily, he had made an unforgivable mistake which raised his anger even more .

“Why do you even care?”

He looked up at Amber who just did the same. Right, why did he even care?

He just cares.

Just when he was about to stand up a loud crushing weight fell on him , precisely on his lap and all he knew was that he won’t be moving before some minutes, because man it numbed his legs with the impact. Hyukjae let out a loud growl and could hear Amber laughing her heart out. ‘Yeah laugh if out, because seeing me in pain had always been your enjoyment’ He thought.

Hyukjae opened his eyes, that he didn’t even recall closing, and got the shock of his life. There was a pretty shocked Donghae on his lap, wincing from the back pain he was probably feeling by now.

“What the .. !“ Hyukjae couldn’t help but  shout.

“oh, sorry…” Donghae said as he was rubbing his eyes , he remembered that he decided to sleep for a minute.

“It’s been a freaking hour I was looking for you” He heard the other shout again , Hyukjae just couldn’t control himself anymore

“I slept” He mumbled.

“How could you ing sleep on a tree branch?” Hyukjae shouted as he stood up making the other fall on the ground in the process. “I’ve been freaking out for nearly an hour when you were here, sleeping!”

Donghae was surprised , he had never seen the elder in such a state , even Amber gave him you-screwed-things look

“I … I am sorry “ was all he could spell

If glares could kill , Donghae must have been dead by how hard the glare Hyukjae sent him , it was too intense and so deep that the younger didn’t know how to feel , Hyukjae then walked away not uttering any other word and Amber followed him after .

Even though he just did the opposite of what he should do and left Donghae there but knew that the latter was following them too.

Hyukjae seemed angry; he just acted angry and shouted at Donghae. But reality was, he was freaking out from the inside, he only didn’t want to show it. He can’t show it.

That feeling he felt was driving him insane , it ate him up , he never experienced it and the first time sure was hell , he never went through that , he never …. He never feared .

Fear was new to him. He never felt his heart shake to that extent, thinking that he would never find donghae again. Even if he, for a moment, thought that maybe Donghae had betrayed his trust and ran away from him, he even thought that maybe it must have been better if he just killed him the day he had the opportunity to. But those were only thoughts of fear; because once Donghae fell on top of him, even though he acted otherwise, he felt revealed and a big weight was thrown off his shoulders.

They were now at home, and it was getting late. Hyukjae saw Donghae have his way to the kitchen but he ignored him and headed to the living room and sat next to Amber putting his head on her shoulder. They were watching TV , not really watching though , there were images in front of him moving but that was the last thing he cared about , he just wanted to rest , to relax , and Amber’s shoulder was always the right place for it , after a moment Donghae walked in, a silver tray in his hands.

“I made” He mumbled and put the tray on the table. “food” , the younger knew it wouldn’t cover a bit of what happened , but he hopped this little act would set down the fire for a bit

Amber jerked forward to grab the toast making Hyukjae’s head fall from its comfortable position in the process and gained a light groan , she turned to him and gave him the most innocent face while he just rolled his eyes .

They ate in total silence if not the sound Amber would make from time to time.

 “I’ll go to sleep” She said once she finished .

“Wait” Hyukjae said and both of the others looked at him. “Hae is sleeping in the spare room”

“She can use it” Donghae commented

“No.” Hyukjae deadpanned and then looked up at her “ Amber you’ll sleep with me” He said and Donghae turned around and looked at him in shock. He should not let this happen.

 “She can use the room. I’ll sleep on the couch”

“She’ll just stay with me” Hyukjae repeated.

“But the couch is really comfortable” the ocre-hair boy tried again.

“Can you shut up?” Amber then spoke up. “I would love to be with you tonight Oppa. Actually I hoped you’ll ask for it” She said while throwing Hyukjae a wink who just rolled his eyes .

Donghae’s jaw dropped. ‘This girl, seriously’ he thought and clenched his fists tightly. She was getting on his nerves.

“Great” Hyukjae said and held her hand pulling her with him. “Let’s go” He said and they both walked to his  room and shut the door behind them once they entered.

It was early in the morning when Donghae heard the door open , as he said the previous night, he slept in the living room , and as low as Hyukjae’s door bedroom opened Donghae heard it , normal; he hasn’t slept the night in the first place , how could he when dark thoughts were hunting his mind , whenever he would close his eye a scary idea flashes in his mind , what tormented him the most is that he could hear no sound from there which agonized him , he couldn’t know what was happening at all , at least if there was some noise he would have at least got some idea , bad was it or good , but there was none .

“ You’re up “ he was cut of his thoughts by Amber

Donghae who was sitting cross-legged on the couch looked up at her and hummed ,

“ I’m gonna go “ she stated and he just hummed again , not even bothering asking her why going in such an early time , when the dawn’s fresh breeze was still there , she sighed and went away but then stopped on her track, not turning around,she loosely put her jacket on her shoulder “ y’know , jealousy kills “ she stated and went to open the door , “ by the way “ she added , her hand on the doorknob “ tell bro I went off first “ she smirked and went out , leaving a blank Donghae behind her , mouth open like a fish out of water , b-brother ?
