Also, Youngjae didn’t come to school today because he had to take care of his brother, so Daehyun was practically alone. His bad mood just worsened each time.   …But that wasn’t the only reason.   His silent thoughts from yesterday were continuously echoing in his head, ever since this morning. Every time it filled his mind, his cheeks felt a bit hot and he made a face in disbelief.   *I won’t push you away anymore.*   Daehyun found that his feet weren’t moving anymore. He stood, frozen to the floor, as other students shuffled past him quickly.   *Aish, I must be going crazy.* He shook his head and his shoulders hunched. He was about to stop and switch his textbooks from his locker when two male students looked confused as they walked past him.   Daehyun only caught a couple of hushed sentences from the conversation.   “What’s the Queen doing here?”   “I wonder who she’s waiting for.”   “You idiot! She’s probably waiting for him!”   Daehyun blinked and pursed his lips together as the guys locked eyes with him. They quickly ducked and the conversation diminished as quickly as it came.   When they were out of sight, Daehyun noticed the two of them murmuring again for a split second.   Scratching his head, the brunette slowly moved past the crowd until he saw a familiar honey-brown coloured head.   The crowd parted as they let Daehyun in. Hana stood there, sipping on a yogurt drink with a straw, until she saw him. Her face brightened when she did.   Daehyun stared at her in surprise, “How come…?”   Hana swiftly took Daehyun’s wrist and pulled him along with her. A few appreciative hoots came from the crowd as she forcefully led him into a semi-empty hallway.   “Here,” Hana took something out from her messenger bag and slapped a yogurt drink in his hands. Daehyun stared down at it and then back at her.   “Return gift, for last night.” She slightly smirked. “Jooyeon told me.”   Daehyun’s jaw dropped and he quickly grew embarrassed. *I should’ve known. Jooyeon is loyal to Hana.*   “I…”   “No need to explain. I heard you came back home and told Zelo to carry me to my bed upstairs because you didn’t want me to catch a cold.” Hana warmly smiled, “So this is a return gift.”   Daehyun felt like letting out a big sigh of relief. *So Jooyeon fibbed. Thank goodness, or I would’ve died of embarrassment.*   “It’s not much, but hey, at least it’s something.” Hana went on until she noticed Daehyun’s red face, “…Daehyun?”   His head snapped up, “Eh?”   Hana blinked at his expression, “What’s wrong with you? You look like a tomato, you know.”   Daehyun grew tongue-tied once again, “N-No, I don’t.”   Hana didn’t seem to believe him, but she decided not to probe him further. “Whatever. Anyways, I’ll see you later. Give me a ride after school?”   “No.” Daehyun gave her a serious look.   Hana grimaced and crossed her arms, “Fine, you grouch. I’ll see you at home.”   Daehyun tried hard not to chuckle as she comically stomped off. He glanced at the yogurt in his hands and softened as he called her name out. Hana glanced over with a fake pouty expression.   “Thanks for the yogurt. I’ll drink it well.” He gave her one of his handsome smiles.   Hana melted a bit inside and a small, elated smile graced her lips, “You don’t have work today, right? Come back home early!”   She kiddingly blew a kiss at him and winked before turning around the corner coolly.   Daehyun shook his head and grinned at the thought of her confident, bold actions. He shook the yogurt drink in his hand and punctured the top of it with his tooth, enjoying the sweet treat.   --------------------------   “I’m back.” Daehyun slipped out of his shoes as the maids bowed to him. Daehyun smiled and they took his backpack.   He heard the door open from upstairs and Junhong coolly slid down the banister. Maids hurriedly scurried down the stairs shouting, “Dolunim! Please be careful!”   When Zelo got to the bottom, he speedily hopped off and dusted his hands, “Don’t worry so much, you guys. I’m safe, don’t worry.” Junhong grabbed what looked to be like a small luggage and turned to see Daehyun.   “Oh, hyung, you’re home!”   Daehyun cocked his head to one side and glanced at his luggage, “Junhong… Where are you going?”   “I already told noona, but I’m going to sleepover at Jongup’s house across the street today. It’s Friday anyways.” He hummed and slipped on his shoes.   Daehyun gawked at him, “M-Muh?!” *You mean we’re the only ones that are going to be home today?!*   Before Zelo could speak, Hana appeared, smearing her hands on the apron she wore. Her eyes lit up in surprise, “Daehyunnie, you’re home. And Junhong, you’re leaving already?”   Zelo nodded while Daehyun looked puzzled at her appearance, “Were you… cooking?”   “Huh?” Hana looked down at her apron, “Yeah, I decided to make dinner for us today.” She sheepishly smiled.   Daehyun stared at her for a second. *The Kang Hana, who usually doesn’t bother to cook anything except sweets, making dinner?*   That was when Zelo straightened up. “I’m gonna head over to Jongup’s now. Have fun you two, and don’t do anything too crazy, got it?” He gave his older sister a meaningful look but burst out into his usual warm smile, “See you tomorrow!”   Daehyun shuffled uncomfortably with his head down as Hana gaped, “Y-Yah, Choi Junhong!”   “Bye hyung and noona~” He hopped out the door in high spirits as the butler bid him farewell.
