PRESENT.
“Happy 20th birthday Mei!!!!!!!!!” Hyung Joon and Jung Min chorused.
“Jeongmal kamsahamnida!” Mei blushed. She’s known both of them for years but when they do something really nice and sweet for her, she still blushes like a fool in front of them.
“Oh Mei are you going to cry?” Hyung Joon asked in a teasing tone.
Han Mei quickly looked up so she can prevent her tears from falling down.
“Joon, you promised.” Jung Min hissed.
“Promised what?” Mei asked quickly.
“That I won’t tease you today.” Hyung Joon grinned.
“I did make him promise Mei…” Jung Min smiled.
“Thank you for all this you guys. It must have been hard for you two to do all this.” Mei smiled sweetly at them.
“It’s nothing really, now it’s time for presents!” Jung Min shouted happily.
“Open mine first!” Hyung Joon bounced passing Mei a rectangular box.
When she opened it, her face was amused. The box contained a necklace that had a dragonfly pendant and Mei loved dragonflies.
“OMO thank you Joonie!!!” Mei exclaimed.
“Glad you like it!! Here let me put it on you!” Hyung Joon offered.
Mei collected her hair so that Hyung Joon can put the necklace around her neck.
“Oh it looks pretty on you.” Jung Min commented.
“Thank you.” Mei whispered shyly. “Open mine!”
Mei took a smaller box from Jung Min that contained a bracelet which had the letters M, E and I as charms. “Wow, this is so cute…” Mei gasped.
“You have to put it on as well.” Jung Min grinned.
A few weeks later…
“Guess who I bumped into today at the coffee shop near where I work?” Mei asked excitedly.
Jung Min and Hyung Joon looked at each other.
“Leeteuk hyung from Super Junior?” Jung Min asked.
“Anio.”
“BoA noona?” Hyung Joon grinned.
“Anio.”
“Who then?” Hyung Joon asked.
“Heo YoungSaeng.” Mei grinned like a fool. She still had a crush on YoungSaeng and she was so happy she saw him today as they haven’t talked seen each other since high school.
“Who?!” Hyung Joon asked again.
“YoungSaeng from high school??” Jung Min clarified. Mei nodded.
“The otter from high school??” Hyung Joon exclaimed.
“He’s not an otter.” Mei pouted.
“He looks like one.” Hyung Joon smirked.
“What happened then? How is he?” Jung Min asked nicely.
“He’s okay actually, he still looks great after all these years and the most important thing is, he asked me out on a date!!” Mei squealed.
Jung Min and Hyung Joon’s face fell.
“He w-what?” Jung Min stammered.
“That otter…” Hyung Joon hissed.
“Ya you should be happy for me! I might actually have a boyfriend soon!” Mei grinned.
“Sure, sure.” Hyung Joon rolled his eyes.
“We’re happy.” Jung Min sighed sadly.
“I need a drink. Mei do you have any alcohol?” Hyung Joon suddenly asked.
“Ne, in the fridge Joonie. You going to drink with us Minnie?”
“Actually I’ll head home.” Jung Min declined.
“Wae? You never go home!” Mei bellowed.
“I have an early day tomorrow so I have to get some sleep, I’ll call you.” Jung Min said. He kissed Mei on the cheek before leaving abruptly. Mei was dumbfounded as Jung Min never done that before.
