He was quite attached to this certain grocery store. He wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was the great steamed buns they sold there. Maybe it was the great smell of food in general. Maybe it’s because he liked buying random snacks they had. Or maybe it was because of the cute girl at the register.

Either way all of those reasons probably would be valid; the last one especially. The guy couldn’t help himself. It was the way the girl would stare at him when he tried to crack a terrible joke to try to make her smile, but then burst out laughing because of the goofy look on his face. The way she would smile as he handed her the money. The way she said, “Have a nice day!” in such a cheerful tone.

All of those things made him go crazy every time he went to that grocery store. Because of that, he would take every moment he could just to have a reason to go grocery shopping. Whenever it was time to buy more food, Suho would announce whose duty it was next to buy groceries. Of course, Xiumin always volunteered for tribute to be the one every single time.

The members didn’t mind much since they were all being lazy and/or had to go on a date with their girlfriends or something. Today was another day of grocery shopping and of course, Xiumin had volunteered to go again.

The walk there wasn’t that long, seeing as the grocery store was about a block or two away from EXO’s dorm. While Xiumin was on his way, his mind was full of impossible scenarios. One of them was of the cute register girl and him walking along the Han River then all of the sudden he would propose and she would say yes and they live happily ever after. Oh Xiumin.

Walking through the automatic sliding doors, the baozi lover immediately looked over to the register. But to his dismay, the girl was not there. His eyes widened and he ran over to the register; which had luckily been empty, or else Xiumin would have pissed off some people. Asking the guy who was there at the moment where the cute girl was.

The guy gave him a weird look before shrugging. “She’s not working right now,” he answered calmly. Xiumin let out a yell and fell on his knees, screaming.

“Where are you cute register girl?!” he yelled at no one in particular except for the ceiling.

The next thing he knew, Xiumin felt a tap at his shoulder. He looked at his right and saw the cute register girl, giving him a weird look. A huge grin appeared on his face. A few seconds later he wrapped his arms around the girl and whispered into her ear with a sad voice, “Don’t ever not work when I’m here arasso?”

Weirdly however, the girl sighed and patted Xiumin’s back, before pecking his cheek. “Okay Minseok oppa~ Shisus you don’t have to overreact. My shift is in a few hours!”
