I look up from my notes. He was still there looking at Joon with piercing eyes. I wonder if his eyes are tired. He’s been like that for this whole week. He looks over to me and raises an eyebrow at me.
“Are you done? If you are let’s get out of here, I’m a busy person.”
I shook my head. “If you’re busy you can leave.”
He leans in his chair “No”

I scoot over to Joon to see what he has on his paper.

“Hey, back up.” JunHyung pointed at me and signal for me to move over.
Joon hands me his notes. “Here I’m done.”
“Me too.”
“I could type it if you want.”
“Really? Okay thanks.”

We smile at each other.

JunHyung pov walking home

Aish why is that smile still stuck on her face? JiYoon looks over at me.

“What?” JiYoon asks.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.”
“You keep stealing glances from me.”
“I wasn’t looking at you. There was a bright flashing sign back there, I was looking at that.”
She turns around to look for the sign “I don’t see it.”
“It must have been taken down.”

I started walking faster to get away from her. She quickly follows me.

JiYoon pov

“We’re HOME!” I scream out.

John greeted me before heading up stairs. I went into the kitchen to greet Uncle and Auntie.

“We’re home.”
“How was studying?” Auntie asks.
“It’s okay, we got finished.”
“That’s good.” Uncle gave me a thumb up.
“I’m going to go change. I’ll be right back to help you Auntie.”
She stops me. “Wait JiYoon your mom sent you some things from home.”

Auntie grabs a box and hands it over to me.

“Thank you.”

I ran up stairs and opened up the box. It was full of stuff from my room back at home. I squeezed all the stuff animals in the box and started placing them in the room. JunHyung came in.

“What did you do to my room?”
“It’s my room. Your room is the attic.”
He grabs on of the stuff animal that I place with his model cars. “You can’t place them here.”
“Why not? It’s my room.”
He throws it on the bed. “Anywhere but with my model cars.”
I pout. “Fine”
He sits on my bed. “I’m going out.”
“Okay?”
“You’re not going to ask why or where?”
“No…should I?”
He stands up “No, I’m going then. Bye.”
“Bye don’t comeback.”

JunHyung turns to me with his fist up. I stuck out my tongue at him and continue to place my stuff around his room. After finishing with turning JunHyung’s room into mine I ran down with satisfactory.

“JiYoon”
I turn over to Uncle and smiled like an angel “Yes”
“Your Auntie and I will be going on a romantic date tonight do you think you could watch John for us?”
“Sure, no problem. So what kind of romantic date did you plan for her?”
He leans forward and whispers “It’s a secret.”
I nodded my head and fixed his tie for him. “Have fun.”

John and I wave bye to them from the door way and watched as the car disappears into the street.

I turn to John. “So what do you want to do.”
“Nothing.” He pouts and ran up to his room.

What wrong with him? I ran up after him.

I knock on his door. “John? Is there something bothering you? Or did some kid tease you? You can tell me I’ll beat them up for you.”

It took a while for him to open his door.

“I wanted to go out with mom and dad too but they said no.”
“Oh, if it makes you feel better your brother left me here alone too.” I squat down to his level “Let’s go on our own date then.”
“US?”
“Yeah, why not, its Friday we should go out like other people too. I’ll buy you ice cream.”
“OKAY!”

John and I looked at each other “Pumpkin?”
The sales girl nodded her head yes. “It’s a limited time flavor since its Halloween soon. It’s a new popular thing in Japan.”
John looks over at the vanilla “I’ll go for that.”
I pointed at the chocolate. “I’ll just take the chocolate.”
“You should try something new.”
I look over to the guy standing next to me. “Joon, are you going to try it?”
“Sure let’s all try it together then shall we? Three pumpkin please.”
John tugs on my sleeve. “You know him?”
“Joon, yeah we’re in the same class.”

We sat down at a table and Joon brought over the pumpkin ice cream.

“It doesn’t look like ice cream.” John pointed.
I stuck my spoon in. “It looks like a blob of puree pumpkin.”
“It’s just a little melted.” Joon stuck his spoon in and took a bite. “Taste good”

John and I looked at each other and pushed our serving over to Joon.

“We’ll stick to our regulars.”
Joon laughs “Don’t like to try new things huh.”
I look to him confused. “Why are you here, alone, on a Friday night?”
“HyunAh decided to hang out with her friends instead of me.”
“Oh.”
“Why are you here alone with John?”
John looks at Joon “Who are you?”
“Me? I’m your brother’s biggest enemy.”

John looks at him confused.

“Wow what a great way to introduce your self to little kids.” I sarcastically applaud him.
Joon chuckles “Hey, I’m Joon. Don’t tell your brother you know me though. He might stalk you too.”

I laugh at him. Joon’s phone started to ring.

He answers “Hello. Hey babe…I’m kind of busy. Talk to you later.”
“HyunAh? Why did you lie to her that you were busy? You could leave.”
“I could but…I don’t feel like it.”

Joon continues to eat spoonfuls of his pumpkin ice cream.

“So…how did you and HyunAh met?”
“School, JunHyung. She was his girlfriend and JunHyung and I were always on bad terms so she just wanted to know why and came to see me, ask me why JunHyung hated me so much but the more she came to me the more she didn’t feel like leaving me.”
“I guess I shouldn’t get to know you either then.”
“I guess. What about you and JunHyung?”
“We…were childhood neighbors.”
“So is it more than just a loveless marriage?”

My heart stops beating for a second. Who else knows this?

“You know?”
“Of course HyunAh told me. She was happy.”
“Happy?”
“Happy…you know what that means right? She still has feelings for him. Why else would she be happy?”
“Because…it means that JunHyung didn’t marry me sincerely.”
“And it means she can still go back to him.”
I thought about it for a moment. “Why are you telling me this?”
“So that you will be prepared for a heart break in the future.”

I look over to John, he was sleeping. I got up and picked him up.

“We have to leave.” I turn to Joon before I step away. “You don’t have to worry, I have been heart broken before I can handle it. Besides I’m pretty sure I won’t suffer from a heart break if JunHyung and I do break off this marriage. We don’t have feelings for each other.”
“Really? No wonder…I could see loneliness in your eyes.” He stands up “I’ll take you two home its dark already.”
“No thank you. Thank you for worrying about my future heart break and for worrying about my safety but you should stop worrying about me and worry about your HyunAh breaking up with you.”
