Slowly lifting her hands to her neck, she let her slender fingers fall down to the scar. Flashbacks from last night's event had her cheeks burning up. Not once was she handled by a male in such an intimate way before, and she intends for Jiyong to only be her first and last who could handle her like that again.

 

I love you baby I'm not a monster~ 

 

Her phone started ringing and Dara quickly grabbed the phone off the nightstand.

 

"Dara?" Jiyong's voice could be heard, and Dara couldn't help the smile that was slowly forming on her plush lips.

 

"Jiyong? Oppa where are you?" Erasing the thought that she may have sounded a bit desperate, Dara eagerly waits for Jiyong's response.

 

"Uh, I'm a bit busy today so I can't meet you today..." Jiyong hoped Dara could understand why he was busy but there are some things he could not bring himself to tell her just yet. 

 

"Oh, it's okay. You have your duties to fulfill...I understand. Bye." The phone line was cut off and Jiyong couldn't help but feel the ache slowly creeping onto his heart. 

 

"She is my mate, my top priority. I'm doing this for her, for her safety."

 

These words were still lingering on his mind from the day he met Dara. He could simply object these orders and live as the vampire prince who ruled knowing what was morally right or wrong. But, he can't do that yet. Not until he could bring this man down and he won't stop until his real mission was completed.

 

...

 

Dara P.O.V:

 

"Ya, why aren't you and lover boy together today?" Chaerin asked as she wiped down the surface of the counter. 

 

I stared at her, suddenly intrigued by her actions.

 

"Ya! Did you hear what I just asked you?" I picked up the cloth from my lap that Chaerin threw at me.

 

"Yes I did, and he's busy today so we aren't together today. We aren't joined at the hip you know."

 

"Yes you are". Bom interfered as she happily bit down on her blueberry muffin, taking half of the muffin already.

 

"You hardly come by and see us anymore. When was the last time we all hanged out together huh?" Bom asked as she took another bite of her muffin, nearly finishing it. 

 

"Unnie, I think we should use this day to hang out! Everyone is free aren't they?" Minzy said as she neatly folded the cloths and set it aside on the counter.

 

We all looked at one another and a smile emerged on our lips.

 

"Let's go girls".

 

...

 

"Woah! Look at it! Ya Chaerin buy me some ddeokbokki! Buy it while it's still hot!". Everyone could see the excitement radiating off of Bom, she was like a child, despite her being the oldest out of all of us.

 

"I'm coming right now". I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of Chaerin running from the other side of the market towards Bom just because the grown woman couldn't buy any food for herself. 

 

"Chaerin-ah, aigoo, are you tired already? Bom asked as she hungrily dipped her hands inside the candy floss bag for the eighth time.

 

Chaerin and Minzy were both tormented by Bom today, and the thing is Bom doesn't even realise it.

 

It was getting darker and we only had just arrived at one of the shops of etude house. Slowly walking around and trying all the samples of BB creams, eye shadow and lip balms, we soon departed from the store after buying at least 4 items.

 

"I'm so tired, help me Chaerin unnie..." Minzy held onto Chaerins arm as she laid her head on her shoulder aswell. The view of this was just hilarious.

 

"I can't help you minzy-ah..." Bom oblivious to all this, casually finished off the whole bag of candy floss by herself. God this girl could eat.

 

... 

 

Jiyong's P.O.V:

 

"We must bring him down. This man is nothing but trouble." My father was determined to remove this one man and many others agreed with him including me.

 

"What does he want? Power? Money? What is it?" My mother rubbed her face in frustration. I could understand why she was frustrated, this man was causing too much trouble and everyone is seriously against him.

 

"Dara's blood." I knew what he wanted, and I know just how to prevent him from getting it.

 

Everyone turned to look at me with wide-eyes. They obviously weren't expecting that were they?

 

"How could I not have realised that?" Father took at seat behind his desk with a tired expression. This whole situation was wearing him out and everyone clearly knew why.

 

"Her blood... if he gets any of it, he'll be the most strongest creature of the underworld..."

 

"Strong enough to rule the underworld." Mother walked over to father and gave his shoulders a little squeeze.

 

"You understand what you have to do, don't you Jiyong?" I nodded to confirm this.

 

I walked out to where my car was parked and unlocked it. I headed to Seunghyun's house. There were some things I needed to discuss with him and the others aswell.

 

...

 

Dara had just arrived at her house. exhausted from the day out with her friends. Quickly jumping into the shower, she reminisced the events of today and how she needed to spend more of her time with her friends. Exiting the bathroom feeling more relaxed, she walked towards her room. 

 

"Hello Dara." Stopping in her tracks, she looked at the back of the person with wide-eyes.

 

"Tae-Taeyang?!" Clutching onto her towel tightly she slowly back away from him. The door was suddenly closed and Taeyang finally turned around. 

 

"I'm not here to hurt you so can you calm down?..." Taeyang said as he put both his hands up to his chest in surrender.

 

"CALM DOWN?...CALM DOWN?!" Dara shouted and Taeyang flinched at her loud voice.

 

"Okay maybe not but at least hear me out woman!"

 

"NO!" Dara quickly her heels and ran into her walk-in closet, making sure it was locked securely.

 

Quickly finding Jiyong's number, she pressed onto the green button starting the call. On the second ring. Jiyong answered his phone.

 

"Dara?"

 

"He's here Jiyong-ah, he's here..."

 

"WHO?" His voice boomed through the phone and Dara flinched at the suddenness.

 

"Taeyang..."

 

"I'm on my way now." With said the phone line went dead and Dara sat there on the stone cold floor, bringing her legs up to her chest. 

 

"Hurry Jiyong..."

 

...

 

 

"Touch her and I'll kill you." Jiyong grabbed onto Taeyang's neck before he flunged him into the wall.

 

"Why are you here?" Questions were running through his mind. He wanted to ask them all, but there was no time for that.

 

"I just need to talk to Dara." Taeyang slowly got up and once again lifted his arms up to his chest in surrender, showing Jiyong he was no threat to the both of them.

 

"Right, let me just leave whilst you speak to her." Jiyong sarcastically said and taeyang glared at him for his attitude.

 

Dara was finally dressed and she walked out towards Jiyong, standing behind him.

 

"I'm not here to hurt her, it's important that she knows what going on." Taeyang stood still as if he was stuck to the floor.

 

"Go on." Jiyong stood his ground, refusing to leave Dara with this foul beast.

 

"He's coming for her, he knows my true intentions of me not wanting to hurt her so now he removed me from his 'little elite group'." Dara and Jiyong could hear the sarcasm seeping through his words but stood quiet, ready for Taeyang to finish his point.

 

"He knows she's part of the royal vampire family, therefore her blood could give him all the power he needs."

 

"Lee Jeong Hoon?" Jiyong asked.

 

"Yes, you know him?" 

 

"Yes, we are also trying to bring him into the courts. The officials could deal with him then." Jiyong said as he grabbed onto Dara's hand and squeezed it  for reassurance, causing her to smile up at him.

 

"So, who do you work for now?" Jiyong asked a little suspicious.

 

"No-one, I'm going solo now" Taeyang said as he let out a soft chuckle. 

 

"I'm no longer a threat to Dara."

 

"Every male on this planet is a threat to Dara." Jiyong said and Dara pouted at his statement.

 

"Right." With that said, Taeyang quickly left through the window.

 

"Are you okay?" Jiyong asked as he turned around to Dara.

 

"Yes, I'm fine. I 'm just tired. All this vampire business is wearing me out to be honest..." Dara said as she laid her head onto Jiyong's chest. 

 

Jiyong laid her down onto the bed. From this angle he could see the mark on her neck. Proud of what he had done because now, everyone would know that Dara is rightfully his. 

 

"Beautiful." Jiyong said as he gazed upon Dara's small petite frame, lying down on the bed. He laid down beside her and embraced her, not wanting to let her go.

 

"Stay with me?..." Dara said as she took hold of Jiyong's hands.

 

"Don't have to ask me twice." Jiyong planted a small gentle kiss ontop of Dara's head. She slowly drifted off to sleep. Not wanting to leave her just yet, Jiyong pulled the blanket and covered both their bodies.

 

"I'm never leaving you..." He whispered and Dara smiled lightly at his words. 

 

"I love you."
