A is for Apathetic

A hand flew over to cover Sooyoung’s mouth as her jaw dropped thanks to what she just read. In front of her, her laptop flashed a webpage… particularly, a very popular and widely-read entertainment website in Korea.

“I love her. I don’t care if you don’t approve.” Yuri read the statement on the entertainment website before her jaw dropped in shock as well. “That’s harsh.”

“What the hell was he thinking? When he said that he’s going to really a statement, I wasn’t expecting this!” Sooyoung shrieked. “The Cassies will be heartbroken.”

Yuri shook her head. “He loves you that much.”

B is for Boyfriend

Sooyoung’s eyes narrowed into dangerous slits as she glared furiously at the unknown girl trying to flirt with HER boyfriend. Obviously, Jaejoong wasn’t interested in the . He just sat in his seat, staring off to space as the girl did everything she could to flirt with him, to get his attention. The nerve of this woman.

“Soo.” Donghae suddenly appeared beside her; his voice had a warning tone. “Don’t start a scene.”

“I wasn’t planning to.” She rolled her eyes. “Though I’m definitely not going to act like this isn’t happening.” Before anyone from both SNSD, DBSK and Super Junior could stop her, Sooyoung made her way to the booth where Jaejoong and the flirt were. Donghae exchanged worried looks with Kyuhyun, Yunho, Changmin, Sungmin and Siwon before the six men followed behind her.

“He’s MY boyfriend.”

Jaejoong snapped out of his ignore-this-annoying-girl state and his eyes immediately fell on his girlfriend. She wasn’t the type who liked to talk or even mention anything about her relationships in public so he was understandably surprised when he heard those words come out of . The unknown flirt, however, hurriedly fled the scene. Considering that Sooyoung was a couple of inches taller than her, she knew that she was no match for the shikshin in a catfight. Add the fact that very irate looking Super Junior, DBSK and SNSD members were right behind her.

C is for Cold

He was perceived to be the cold-hearted prince of DBSK by JPOP and KPOP fans all over the world. With all honesty, he didn’t mind. He actually liked the idea of being the mysterious and cold member. But it didn’t take long for the fans and anti-fans alike to notice how the once cold-hearted prince changed when a certain bubbly and loving Choi Sooyoung became his girlfriend.

D is for Devil

“Hyung!” Junsu whined. “Give me back my laptop! You have your own!”

“My laptop’s still charging. I can’t use it.” Jaejoong replied without taking his eyes off what he was watching.

Yunho shook his head. “I lost count of how many times you watched that video today.”

“Hyung!” Junsu whined again. “We all get it. Sooyoung looks unbelievably hot in Run Devil Run. So can you return my laptop now?”

“No.”

E is for Ex

“A penny for your thoughts?”

Sooyoung looked up from the floor and forced a small smile on her face. “What are you doing here, Fany?”

Tiffany was used to it by now. Being the ‘bad girl’ that Sooyoung was, she didn’t call any of the older girls unnie. “You look like you have a problem.”

“I just needed some peace and quiet.” She shook her head. Jessica wasn’t really surprised that she denied this.

“Is it about Jaejoong oppa?”

Her face immediately reddened. “Of course not.”

“Soo, I know that Sica is my best friend… but I’m still your unnie. You can tell me anything.” The American born girl sat on the floor beside her dongsaeng. “Do you like him?”

“I’m not supposed to.”

“That doesn’t answer my question.” Tiffany rolled her eyes. “Do you like Jaejoong oppa?”

Sooyoung let out a long sigh. “Yes.”

“Does he like you back?”

“I don’t know.”

Tiffany bit her lower lip. “What’s stopping you from allowing yourself to like him?”

Sooyoung wasn’t sure if it was the right decision to confide in Tiffany. But she knew she needed to. “It’s just that… I know Sica and Jaejoong oppa had a past together. I don’t want to hurt her just because I like him…”

A soft smile graced the older woman’s face. “Just follow your heart, Soo. You don’t have to worry about Sica. Besides, she likes someone else now.”

“WHAT?!” Her eyes widened at the revelation. “WHO?!”

Tiffany chose not to give a verbal reply but instead, her eyes shifted to the other end of the hall. Sooyoung turned her attention to the same direction and she saw none other than Super Junior’s Kim Heechul entering a rehearsal room. It didn’t take long for realization to kick in.

“Oh.”

F is for Fan Café

Jaejoong didn’t want to believe the rumors that SNSD’s very own Choi Sooyoung was actually a member of DBSK’s fan café. He knew that she supported them a lot because she was very close to Yunho, Junsu and Yoochun since their training years. But when the one and only evidence that could change his mind was shown to him by Sooyoung herself – aka her actual fan café page –, he couldn’t help but find her so adorable.

G is for Golden

There was no denying it. DBSK’s Kim Jaejoong and SNSD’s Choi Sooyoung were the golden couple of JPOP and KPOP. Everyone agreed that they looked good together and they complemented each other. It was just a matter of when they would get married. And it was question that both of them asked themselves.

H is for Home

Taeyeon flinched when Sooyoung shot up from her bed and sneezed out loud. She absolutely didn’t like it when one of her dongsaengs got sick and this time wasn’t an exception. Sooyoung caught the flu virus and she was down with a very high fever, fatigue, cough, colds and a pounding headache. Taeyeon could only sigh as she sat on a chair by Sooyoung’s bed with a bowl of soup in her hands. Yoona was on the other side of the bed, holding an ice bag against Sooyoung’s forehead.

“I hate this.” Sooyoung groaned. “I wanna perform. I don’t want to disappoint the fans.”

“Soo, don’t push yourself too much.” Sunny sat on the edge of her bed and patted one of Sooyoung’s foot. “Just concentrate on getting better so that you can join us again.”

“Get a lot of rest, eat a lot, drink lots of liquids and don’t forget to take your medicines.” Tiffany instructed her. “I’m sure the fans will understand.”

Yoona nodded in agreement. “They wouldn’t want you to perform in this state.”

“Which reminds me… Have you told your self-proclaimed number one fan that you’re sick?” Taeyeon arched an eyebrow.

Sooyoung shook her head, coughing in the process. “I didn’t want to worry him. He should enjoy his time in Japan.”

“So, who are the only ones who know that you’re sick, unnie?” Seohyun asked.

“Um… Aside from your girls, manager unnie and LSM… the Super Junior oppas.”

“Super Junior?” Hyoyeon repeated. “Now you have fifteen tweeting birds. And as far as I know about one particular dancing bird, he’d probably tell Junsu oppa…”

“And we all know that Junsu oppa can’t exactly keep his mouth shut.” Yuri finished for her.

As if on cue, they all heard the door bell ring. Thinking that it must be their manager, who they knew were coming to bring them to Music Bank, Seohyun left the room to go and see. A few moments later, they heard very urgent footsteps outside before the door was unceremoniously flung open, revealing a worried-looking Kim Jaejoong. Sooyoung nearly spat out the soup that Taeyeon was feeding her, causing her to cough repeatedly. Needless to say, this worried Jaejoong more.

“I'm so sorry, baby. I should’ve gone home earlier.” Jaejoong rushed towards Sooyoung and automatically checked her temperature.

“YAH! What are you doing back here? Do you want the Cassies to kill me since you ditched them?” Sooyoung made a face at him.

Meanwhile, the rest of SNSD retreated to the other side of the room as they all watched the two bicker about what was more important. “I knew I was right.” Hyoyeon grinned. “No one knows that bird as much as I do.”

I is for Italy        

Jaejoong loved to travel. For him, it was his ultimate dream to go beyong Asia and see the rest of the world. To travel around the world was actually one of the things in his bucket list. But thanks to the demanding schedules and the thousands of Cassies he had to please, he didn’t have time to do that at all.

“W-What… What is this?” Jaejoong asked as he stared at the object in his hands.

“It’s called a plane ticket. You should look it up in the dictionary.” Sooyoung rolled her eyes at him.

“I know it’s a plane ticket.” He rolled his eyes back at her. “What I’m trying to figure is why are you giving me a plane ticket to Italy?”

Sooyoung laughed. “Your bucket list, remember?”

Jaejoong opened his mouth but no words would come out. It was one of the rare times in his life where he was actually speechless.

J is for Joon

“Are you… and Joon close?”

Sooyoung looked up from her iPod. Why was he suddenly asking that question? “Uh… I guess? We’re friends.”

Jaejoong kept a straight face on as he stared at the wall across the rehearsal room. “Nothing, Soo. I just read a few things while I was still in Japan.”

She arched an eyebrow at him but said nothing. She doubted his words for some reason.

K is for Kim

Sooyoung looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled. “Kim Sooyoung. Kim Sooyoung. Kim Sooyoung. Kim Sooyoung…” She whispered to herself over and over again. She couldn’t help it. It sounded so perfect to her ears.

“Soo?” It didn’t take long before Jaejoong appeared behind her, wrapping his long, strong arms around her petite waist. “Are you talking to yourself?”

She blushed scarlet in embarrassment. “I can’t help it.”

“Can’t help what, Kim Sooyoung?” He asked with a soft smile.

“Calling myself that name.” As she looked at the identical rings on their left ring fingers, she couldn’t help but think about how perfect her life is.

L is for Legs

“What is the first thing you noticed about Sooyoung?” An MC asked Jaejoong.

The problem was, Jaejoong didn’t think before he answered. “Her legs.”

A few hoots from the crowd, laughter from the rest of the guests and a smack to the back of the head from Sooyoung later, he definitely learned his lesson the hard way.

M is for Mirotic

It was no secret that Sooyoung was an avid fan of DBSK. As a matter of fact, she was even part of the band’s fan café. That led to one thing for Jaejoong. He couldn’t help but wonder who her most favorite member was. But as he watched her dance with Yunho to Mirotic – specifically to his ‘chin dance’ – he probably had an idea who it was.

So much for hoping that she liked him the most.

N is for New Caledonia

When they saw the paradise island in Boys Over Flowers on separate occasions, both Sooyoung and Jaejoong were in love with that place. That was why when they started making plans for their wedding, both immediately said that they wanted their wedding in New Caledonia.

And so it happened according to their wishes. In a star-studded wedding including all the members from DBSK, Super Junior, SNSD, f(x), Shinee and other bands, as well as good friends like BoA and Lee Yeonhee, Choi Sooyoung married the love of her life, Kim Jaejoong.

Paradise indeed.

O is for Okay

“So… Um…” Jaejoong couldn’t believe that he was stuttering. He waited for this opportunity for such a long time and he’s so close to blowing up into a disaster. It took a lot of cajoling from Yunho and Junsu to do this and he couldn’t believe that he might just waste it. “W-Would you like to go out with me?”

Sooyoung looked surprised with his question and for a moment, she looked like she didn’t know what to say. “O-Okay…”

He knew that Sooyoung wasn’t like all those mushy, lovesick girls. So the simple ‘okay’ meant the world to him.  

P is for Pabo

“Oppa, what’s wrong with you?” Sooyoung screeched at him. “Why are you so mean to Joon oppa?”

“Why are you so protective of him? Do you like him?” Jaejoong countered. He had never felt this jealous his whole life. And all his anger was all because Joon admitted to the public that he liked Sooyoung.

She put her hands on her waist and sighed in frustration. “Why do you care? Why does it matter to you?”

“Because I like you!” Jaejoong yelled, not caring if someone outside the room could hear him. “I like you so much!”

Sooyoung stood frozen in her spot. DBSK’s Kim Jaejoong just confessed to her. Wow. But on the other hand, Jaejoong was getting more upset. Unable to hear any kind of reply from her, he stormed out of the room, leaving her on her own.

"Pabo…”

The word left in a whisper. If only he could see past the jealousy, there would be a possibility for him to see that she liked him too. But Sooyoung knew that she’ll end up as another pabo if she didn’t run after him.

And so she did.

Q is for Queen

He was known as the Zeus of KPOP and JPOP. He only wanted one queen… or this time around, a goddess. SNSD’s shikshin seemed to be the perfect one for him.

R is for Refrigerator

“Soo? What are you doing here?” Yoochun asked as he opened the door wider of Sooyoung to enter.

“Are you and hyung going on a picnic or something?” Junsu asked when he saw that she was carrying a couple of paper bags effortlessly in her hands as if they weighed nothing at all. “Why do you have so much food?” Without any surprise, Changmin looked up from the magazine he was reading upon hearing that there was food.

“Yah, Kim Jaejoong!” Yunho yelled. “If you and Soo are going out on a picnic, you should at least have the decency to pick her up instead of having her go all the way here!”

“You shouldn’t yell at your hyung like that!” Jaejoong yelled back as he stepped out of his room. His attention then fell on Sooyoung. “What are you doing here, baby?”

Sooyoung pressed a kiss on his cheek before she made her way to the kitchen of DBSK’s dorm with the five men following close behind her. “Well, you were saying something about how Changmin oppa and Junsu oppa tend to finish all the food there so I’m making sure that you’ll have food that’s only for you.”

The five men could only watch with their jaws hanging as Sooyoung began to stuff the refrigerator with literally Jaejoong-labeled food. There were Jaejoong-labeled ice cream, cupcake boxes and other sorts of food. Sooyoung then proceeded to stuffing their cupboards with even more food for her boyfriend. Most, if not all, were Jaejoong’s favorites judging by the huge smile on his face accompanied by a look of utter astonishment.

“I’m all done.” Sooyoung exclaimed happily a few minutes later. She fished something out of her purse and handed a piece of paper to Jaejoong. “Oppa, all of your food is listed here so you’d know if someone else ate them.”

He looked at her with wide eyes. “Y-You’re unbelievable.”

Changmin made a face. “I should get myself a girlfriend.”

S is for Sone

If Sooyoung was a self-professed Cassie, Jaejoong was a self-professed Sone.

T is for Thanks

Sooyoung stayed silent and smiled softly as she watched Jaejoong doing the barbecue for her. He knew how much she loved to eat so he thought that it was a good idea to have a barbecue in one of the private beaches in Korea for one of their dates. To say that he had everything was an understatement. He had everything from sausages, burgers, steaks and the like. It surprised her how much he would always go out of his way for her ever since they agreed to go out on a few dates.

“Sooyoungie, are you okay?” Jaejoong’s concerned voice snapped her out of her thoughts.

The smile on her face grew more profound as she looked at him from head to toe. He was wearing an apron, holding a metal spatula in one hand and most importantly, was wearing a chef’s hat on his head. He looked so adorable it made her giggle. “Do I have something on my face?” He pouted. “Is there anything you want to tell me or something?”

She cupped his face with her hands. “Thank you for loving me.” And then, she pressed her lips on his for the first time.

U is for United

All of Sooyoung’s attention was focused on the television a few feet in front of her, not minding the fact that Super Junior’s living room was now packed with twenty four people. Sungmin sat to her left while Hankyung sat to her right. Yuri and Yoona were sitting on the carpet on both sides of her legs while Donghae was sitting in front of her, leaning against her legs. Behind the sofa stood Leeteuk and Kyuhyun while everyone else was dispersed in the other parts of the living room.

Leeteuk and Kyuhyun both had a hand on her shoulder while Hankyung held her hand. Yoona reached for Sooyoung’s free hand and Sungmin had an arm around Sooyoung’s shoulders. Yuri was patting her thigh comfortingly while Donghae reached back to rub her leg in attempts to calm the nerves that he was sure she was feeling. Everyone in that living room knew how important that night was for her. No one said anything and even their breathing could barely be heard. All their attention was focused on the television that was showing the latest breaking entertainment news.

“Things have certainly been very hard for the past couple of months.” Jaejoong said against the microphone, addressing all the media before him and those watching in their homes. “DBSK will forever be united. We are brothers and nothing can separate us.”

V is for Visitor

“Jaejoong oppa, is that you?” A gasp left Yuri’s mouth as Kim Jaejoong himself entered the set of the filming of SNSD’s song, Genie. “Oppa, what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be in Japan?”

“Well, schedule went earlier than expected so here I am.” He grinned. “How are you girls doing?”

“We’re doing well, oppa.” Yoona replied with a knowing look on her face.

This didn’t go unnoticed by him. “Where is she?”

As if on cue, she stepped into the set having just finished her hair and makeup. Her eyes widened and her jaw nearly dropped when she saw him standing there. “What happened to your hair?” Jaejoong asked as he took a better look of Sooyoung’s now short hair.

As far as he’s concerned, she never looked more beautiful.

W is for Wish

Kim Jaejoong could have everything that he could ever wish for. He had a successful career, four brothers, close friends and co-workers and thousands of adoring fans. But the blessing that mattered to him the most was the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with.

A soft smile graced his face as he read the souvenir invitation in his hand. You are cordially invited as Ms. Choi Sooyoung and Mr. Kim Jaejoong celebrate their union as one in marriage.

X is for X

He used to not believe in having a bucket list for everything he wanted to do in his life. But as he got older and his life went in a direction he wasn’t expecting, he suddenly felt a need to. With a huge smile on his face, he crossed out an item in his bucket list before stuffing his laptop inside his bag. His eyes caught Sooyoung’s and she smiled sweetly at him despite the fact that she was exhausted. Their attention then fell on their two bundles of joy being passed around four DBSK uncles, eight SNSD unnies and 15 Super Junior uncles.

Jaejoong wanted to have children. He just wasn’t expecting to have fraternal twins when he did so.

Y is for You

Sooyoung knew that she was the most important girl for Jaejoong… well, after his mother but that’s different. He didn’t always have to say it to her for her to know it.

The words engraved in her wedding ring said it all.

Z is for Zebra

It was normal for a husband to give everything that his pregnant wife wants. So when Sooyoung was pregnant for the second time with her and Jaejoong’s third child, he was more than willing to give her anything and everything.

It only started with her saying about how cute zebras were and ended with her finding one in their vacation house.
