A is for Agree

He couldn’t help but wonder who the cameraman would choose at the prettiest member of SNSD. Last time the nine girls dropped by in Sukira, Yoona was the chosen girl. He wasn’t really surprised. Everyone thought he was pretty… he himself included.

So when the camera zoomed towards the newly short haired shikshin, he couldn’t help but take a closer look of her. He watched as the reality of being chosen as the prettiest girl in SNSD sunk in and Sooyoung’s face lit up with that famous smile of hers.

He definitely agreed with the cameraman this time around.

 

B is for Broadcast

“So our dear listeners…” Eunhyuk sent the man beside him a knowing look. “Teukie hyung has a story for all of us tonight.”

He laughed. “Well, it’s a romantic story so I’m hoping that you’d like it. Maybe a lot of our listeners can relate. So, please enjoy.”

Leeteuk then went on narrating a story about a beautiful woman and a handsome man – this part made Eunhyuk gag on his water – who met in school. He used to see her as a little sister with a boyish, fearless attitude. But as she grew older, he slowly began to see how beautiful she was inside and out. And that was how he started to fall in love with her.

To Sukira’s avid listeners, it may sound like just a love story. But for those who knew much more than that, they knew that it was how he fell in love with a certain Choi Sooyoung.

 

C is for Cyworld

“I found her.”

Sooyoung’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she read his latest Cyworld entry for the nth time since she first saw it. Who was he talking about? Did he find a long lost friend? Countless of possibilities entered her mind but everything didn’t make sense to her at all. She knew that if she wanted to have answers to her questions, then she’d need to ask him herself.

“What are you doing?”

She slammed her laptop shut as her heart began to pound faster as she turned to face the owner of the voice that startled her. She knew that voice anywhere, anytime. “Yah, oppa! Don’t scare me like that!”

Leeteuk rolled his eyes. “It’s not my fault that you don’t pay attention to your surroundings.”

“What are you even doing here, oppa?” She looked around, assuring herself that she was still in the once-empty rehearsal room.

“I was just wondering around and I saw you in here.” He replied casually. “So answer my question this time. What are you doing?”

Unconsciously, her grip on her laptop tightened. “I was just taking advantage of some peace and quiet.”

“I was talking about your laptop.” Leeteuk nodded towards her gadget.

“It’s nothing, oppa. I was just looking at random things. It’s really nothing – YAH!” A shriek left when her laptop suddenly left her hands. Her eyes widened as she realized that her laptop was now with Leeteuk and he just opened it. She tried to reach for her laptop but he turned so that his back was facing her, shielding her laptop.

He smirked when he saw what she was previously reading. “This isn’t nothing, Soo. Are you stalking my site?”

“Hell no!” Sooyoung exclaimed. “Yuri was talking about it so I just wanted to see it for myself.”

“So what do you think about it?”

Sooyoung didn’t know what to say. A part of her had a feeling that she knew just who it was he was talking about. Yoona. She thought to herself. “That’s great, oppa. You should tell her how you feel. She might feel the same way.”

He scratched the back of his head nervously. “Well… Do you?”

“What… I… Huh?” She wanted to slap herself right then and there for her lack of better words.

“Soo…” Super Junior’s leader gently took her hands in his. “I think I’m in love with you.”

Sooyoung suddenly threw herself at Leeteuk, pressing her lips softly against his.

He knew that she loved him too.

 

D is for Different

“Soo?” He called out, unsure if it really was the tall brunette who was sitting on the floor with her head down, causing her chocolate brown hair to shield her face.

She didn’t look up to acknowledge him but she knew her voice so well. “What are you doing here, oppa?”

“I should be asking you that.” He arched an eyebrow as he sat down on the floor beside her. “What are you doing in the fire exit and sitting on the floor?”

“I just needed time alone.” Her reply was in a whisper but he could hear the sadness in her tone. “I just needed time for myself.”

Leeteuk turned so that he was facing her. “Is something wrong?”

“I hate being different.”

Her confession caught him by surprise. “Why?”

“Look at the other girls, oppa!” She finally looked up, revealing her tear-stained cheeks and red eyes. “They’re all fair and pretty. Taeyeon, Tiffany, Jessica, Sunny and Yuri have amazing voices. Hyoyeon and Yoona can dance so well. Then, look at me. I’m a tall dark giant always in the background.”

“That has got to be the dumbest thing that came out of your mouth, Choi Sooyoung.” His reply shocked her to say the least. “Whatever is different about you makes you special. You underestimate yourself so much. You’re great in dancing and you have a great voice.”

She shook her head again. “You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”

“Look at me and tell me if I look like I’m lying.”

One look and she knew he wasn't.

 

E is for Eyes

Sooyoung watched the video more times than she ever cared to count.

Ever since Seohyun told her about it when she got back from her vacation, she just couldn’t stop watching it, trying to figure out what happened. She clicked play again and watched as she spoke after her, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Yoona and Sunny were introduced in Vote to Change. As she spoke in the video, the camera focused quickly on Super Junior’s Leeteuk. Even if it happened in such a flash, she caught it. That look he gave her as she spoke. She didn’t know if she was just seeing things or something.

But she could feel the look in his eyes meant something.

 

F is for Frame

“Hey, Soo.” Yesung greeted her with a smile as he opened the door wider so she could enter. “Hyung’s already on his way back from the event with Hae.”

“Yeah. He called earlier.” Sooyoung replied while he shut the door close. “Where’s everybody else, oppa?”

“They’re all somewhere out there over the rainbow.” He chuckled. “Soo, will you be okay on your own? I kinda need to take a shower. Kyu, Wookie and I have an event later tonight.”

Sooyoung nodded in assurance before Yesung left her alone in the living room to head to the bathroom. The tall brunette looked around, thinking of what do. She knew it’d take Leeteuk and Donghae about another twenty minutes to get home and that was a lot of time to kill. She was about to sit down on the sofa and just listen to her iPod when Leeteuk and Donghae’s room caught her eye.

She went in and looked around. Of course she knew where his bed was. But there was something about his side of the room that looked different. Sooyoung walked over to his bedside table and picked up the white picture frame sitting on it. The picture that the frame house was one that was very precious to her. It was a picture of her and Leeteuk in Jeju Island.

A smile graced her face as she traced her finger over their smiling faces. It was one of the rare times when they were free to be together and just spend time outdoors without fans following or getting mad at them. They knew it was going to take time before the Sones and the ELFs fully accepted them. But she was willing to wait.

 

G is for Genie

Leeteuk’s jaw dropped as he listened to the football guy’s request. He was really looking forward to being part of Oh! Brother because Sooyoung was going to be there and he really wanted to spend time with her… and get to know her more. But thanks to this football guy, all her attention was on the goofy-looking guy. Now, she’s even going to dance Genie for him.

He heard the song beginning to play and he knew he had to do something. Sooyoung already stepped forward, ready to dance. He didn’t say that only Sooyoung could dance. He thought as he anticipated the chorus and when it came, he danced along with her. But it didn’t work. All her attention was on the football guy that she was trying to please. He fought the urge to scowl as the guy blushed and hid his face behind his helmet. The situation wasn’t really that bad. At least he got to observe her dance more closely as he danced along with her. And she’s an amazing dancer. He thought to himself as he watched her sway her hips. But still…

How he wished she danced for him instead.

 

H is for Heartbreak

Sooyoung swung the door open, expecting one of her SNSD groupmates to be standing out there, but she was wrong. In front of her stood Leeteuk, looking very lost, tired, stressed out… and he looked like he just cried. “Oppa, what happened?” She asked as she pulled him inside the dorm, kicking the door shut behind her.

“I don’t think I can take it anymore.” He whispered.

“Oppa, tell me what happened.” His state was worrying her a lot and she knew that he needed someone to talk to her. She hurriedly ushered him into her room and locked the door for privacy. “Did you fight with someone?”

Leeteuk threw himself on the bed. “I don’t what to do… it’s like we’re breaking apart and I can’t do anything about it.”

She knew what he was talking about. Super Junior. The Super Junior that was no longer fifteen. “Oppa, you’ll get through this. I know you will.”

“I know I have to.” He sobbed. “But I feel myself breaking already and I don’t know what to do.”

Sooyoung wrapped her arms around him and pulled him closer to her chest, wanting to comfort him as much as she possibly could. Leeteuk buried his face against her chest and sobbed loudly. It hurt her so much to see him in this much pain. So she was willing to be by his side through it all.

 

I is for Invited

To say that Park Jungsoo and Choi Sooyoung’s wedding is the wedding of the decade – or even the century – was an understatement. Considering that it was the marriage of two big stars of the KPop music industry, it was undoubtedly the biggest wedding… Well, technically it was a wedding concert.

The wedding was a mix of the traditional wedding ceremony mixed with performances by Super Junior, SNSD, DBSK, Shinee, f(x) and other groups. It was a big wedding indeed… considering the thousands of fans that attended along with all their loved ones. Sones and ELFs were family after all.

 

J is for Joke?

Sooyoung gasped; her hand covering . Leeteuk was in front of her… bended on one knee. The studio was silent as the fellow guests, hosts and audience all waited. Did he just propose to her?

“Are you serious?” She managed to stutter. “You’re not pulling a prank on me, right?”

Leeteuk rolled his eyes as he struggled to stay in place. “Of course I’m joking, Soo.” He said sarcastically. “I’m serious, baby… Will you marry me?”

“Yes! Of course! Yes!” The brunette exclaimed as he slipped the huge diamond engagement ring on her ring finger. The crowd, hosts and guests cheered as Leeteuk wrapped his arms around her waist and twirled her around in glee.

 

K is for K.R.Y.

It wasn’t a secret that Sooyoung could speak in Japanese. Everyone knew that. And Leeteuk sure as hell knew that. But that didn’t stop him from being surprised and astonished as he watched Sooyoung sing The One I Love by Super Junior K.R.Y. just for him.

 

L is for Less

Sooyoung sighed as she watched Leeteuk and Yoona joke around from afar. It was obvious – at least to her – that he liked Yoona a lot. It didn’t really surprise her. She was beautiful, talented, fair, charming and nice. Any sane guy would like her.

She just couldn’t help but think that she’ll always be less than Yoona for him.

 

M is for Myung-In

She got up from her bed and walked towards the connecting door. Swinging it open, she smiled when she saw that her little angel just woke up. “Good morning, angel.” The brunette walked over to the crib and picked her fourteen month old daughter up. Park Myung-In yawned and her little hand scratched the sleep off her eyes. “Appa went out for work today but don’t worry angel, umma is here.”

“Good morning!”

Sooyoung nearly jumped in surprise. Turning towards the direction of the voice, she gasped when she saw Leeteuk in the kitchen with a plate of pancakes in one hand and a milk bottle in another. “What are you doing here?” She asked as he placed the plate and the bottle on the dining table.

“I got a day off.” He grinned as he made his way over to them. “I told manager hyung that I won’t be able to work well today since I’m going to miss my girls so much.”

She rolled her eyes good naturedly before she carefully handed Myung-In to her father. “Looks like umma’s wrong, Myung-In. Appa is here.”

“Good morning Baby Angel.” He kissed the tip of the nose of his daughter. “Appa Angel is going to be here the whole day.”

As if answering her father, Myung-In squealed and smiled. It was a smile that was a replica of her father’s.

 

N is for Never

“DRIVE FASTER!” Leeteuk yelled as he sat restlessly on the passenger’s seat.

“I’m going as fast as I could!” Heechul yelled back as he maneuvered the van through the traffic. “We’ll get there no matter what happens, okay?”

Leeteuk felt a hand on his shoulder. It was Ryeowook’s. “Hyung, don’t worry. She’ll make it. Sooyoung’s a strong girl.”

“She better make it. I won’t forgive her if I do.”

He never felt so terrified his entire life as he did now. His heart nearly stopped when he received a call from Taeyeon. SNSD’s kid leader was in tears as she told him that Sooyoung got into a car accident and was rushed to a hospital. You better make it through this, Soo. Wait for me. I’m coming. You better not leave me.

Leeteuk could feel the tears rolling down her face, unable to control them anymore. Heechul blinked rapidly to get past the tears, knowing that he couldn’t have a cloudy vision if he wanted to get to the hospital as soon as they could. Siwon was in tears as well in the backseat, worrying like hell for the woman he considered as his own sister. Hankyung, Donghae and Sungmin were all trying to fight the tears but they were slowly failing. Everyone else was either silent or in prayer, hoping that the shikshin would make it through.

Never leave me, Soo. Never ever leave me.

 

O is for Only Love

SM Town’s winter album was going to be released soon and as usual, all artists of SM had to perform one song. Leeteuk was told that he was going to have a part in the song… a duet to be specific. He was going to have a duet with SNSD’s Seohyun. Well, he really didn’t mind. He found her very nice. But there was one girl he really wanted to sing with instead.

P is for Performer

Certain traits are passed by through genetics and that holds true to Leeteuk and Sooyoung’s little Myung-In. The proud mother and father brought their daughter onstage after Music Bank and to the delight of her parents, uncles, aunties and thousands of adoring fans, Park Myung-In hummed her first tune on national television.

 

Q is for Quick

Leeteuk sighed as he watched Sooyoung talking to Key, Onew and Yuri a few feet away from him. Star King just finished filming a few minutes ago and now the guests were chatting amongst each other. He had this big urge to go and spend some time with her but for some reason, his feet seemed stuck to where they were. He looked away when Key said something that made Sooyoung laugh, feeling something weird inside him.

Eunhyuk shook his head at his friend, wondering how he could be so shy around the Shikshin. “Hyung, if I were you… make a move on her. Quick.”

 

R is for Reality

Sooyoung walked briskly down the hall, wanting to get out of the SM Building more than anything else. She knew that if she stayed there longer, she’d probably go crazy. It wasn’t supposed to hurt as much as it did and it confused her. Why the hell did she like a guy that can never like her back? She’ll always be second to Yoona for him. Second.

“Soo!” His voice reached his ears, making her walk faster. Why the hell was he calling her?

She tried to walk as fast as her legs could manage but it didn’t seem to work. She could hear his footsteps coming closer and closer to her. Before she knew it, he was already blocking her way. “Yah!” He made a face at her, gripping her wrist. “What’s wrong with you?”

“Nothing, oppa.” She replied curtly, refusing to look at him.

“So why did you walk out all of a sudden in the middle of lunch?” Leeteuk asked her, crossing his arms over his chest.

Why is he so damn curious? She thought. “I’m not really feeling well so I’ll just head back to the dorm.”

He put his free hand on her forehead. “You don’t have a fever.”

“Well, you don’t have to have a fever in order to be sick.” Sooyoung told him crossly. “Why are you even here?”

“Yoona asked me to go after you.”

Of course. Of course Yoona did and he followed. I was beginning to think he cared. The brunette thought bitterly to herself. “You can go back to Yoona now and tell her I’m fine.”

“You aren’t fine, Soo!” He exclaimed. “Can you tell me what’s wrong?”

“Do you know how it feels to always be second and not good enough?”

Leeteuk was caught off-guard with the question she asked. Unable to get answer for him, Sooyoung shook his hand off her wrist and walked away, leaving him speechless. “Pabo!” He hissed at himself. Why did you use Yoona as an excuse? You could’ve just said you’re worried about her.

 

S is for Seven

“What can you say about your seven year ?”

Leeteuk exchanged a look with Sooyoung and smiled at the interviewer. “Well, I think it’s what makes us special.”

 

T is for Teacher

“Soo! Soo!” Leeteuk ran towards her, pausing to catch his breath when he reached her. “I need a favor.”

She looked up from the chips she was eating. “What is it?”

“Can you teach me the steps for Genie?”

Sooyoung blinked. “Why?”

“Uh…” He scratched the back of his head. “Managed hyung said we’re going to perform it in one of the shows.”

“Sure, oppa. No problem. Just tell me when and where.” She giggled before she went on her way again.

When Sooyoung was out of sight, Leeteuk pumped his fist in the air. Thank heavens for Kim Heechul and his brilliant ideas.

 

U is for Universal

“Where are we going?” Leeteuk asked for the nth time since they left the hotel. “Tell me already.”

Sooyoung rolled her eyes but kept her attention on the road. “It won’t be a surprise anymore if I tell you.”

“Then give me a clue.” He faced her and did the best aegyo he could muster.

She suddenly stopped the car. “I don’t need to. Look in front.”

Leeteuk looked out of the windshield and his jaw dropped. It was the Universal Studios. “Did you really think that I’ll allow us to leave Florida without going there?” Sooyoung laughed.

She fell silent as she studied his face. He was completely stunned as he stared at the Universal Studios. After all the stress with performing, she knew he needed this. And as he nearly dragged her out of the car, she knew she just resurrected the kid in him.

 

V is for Vulnerable

It wasn’t unusual for Leeteuk to have emo moments. As a matter of fact, it was usual for him to have them. The Super Junior boys knew it and even the fans did thanks to the multiple depressing posts in his Cyworld. But out of everybody who knew, a particular shikshin came for him when he thought he was about to break into countless pieces. She was his strength and it seemed like she didn’t mind sharing his burdens with him.

 

W is for Want

Leeteuk stared at the ceiling as he listened to the live broadcast of Chunji Radio. Sungmin and Sooyoung did a great job hosting their show. But maybe it would’ve been better if it was him and Sooyoung instead? He was the leader of Super Junior but all he wanted was to be in Sungmin’s place.

 

X is for X-Men

“Cyclops is the best X-Men character!”

Sooyoung snorted. “Hell no. It’s Storm.”

“Cyclops is much better!” Leeteuk shook his head.

“Storm!”

“Cyclops!”

“Storm!”

“Cyclops!”

“SHUT UP!” Kangin’s voice boomed throughout the rehearsal room.

 

Y is for Yoona

“He likes you.”

Sooyoung looked up from her bowl of pasta. “What?”

Yoona smiled and sat on a chair across her. “Teukie oppa likes you, not me.”

“That’s not true.” She did her best to act like she didn’t care. “It’s so obvious that he likes you.”

“Maybe if you stop being so stubborn, then you’ll see the truth.”

 

Z is for Zoo

Leeteuk opened the door of the back seat of his car. “Baby Angel, are you ready?”

“Yes, Appa Angel!” Myung-In beamed.

He got her out of her car seat and carried her in his arms before heading over to where Sooyoung was. “Do you know what to do, sweetheart?” Sooyoung asked as she fixed her daughter’s hair.

“Yes, umma!” She giggled. “Appa said I just need to act cute and lovable like him.”

Sooyoung made a face at her husband but he merely shrugged his shoulders and smiled sheepishly. “Can we look around in the zoo after this?” Myung-In as she looked with big, round eyes at the animals around her.

“Of course, anything you want.” Leeteuk kissed the cheek of his daughter before setting her down on the ground.

It didn’t take long before the director called them to start the filming of the video of their new duet – aptly titled Baby Angel.
