“Hey, what are you doing over there?” jessica asked sleepily as she walked towards taeyeon who was sitting alone at the patio just outside the kitchen, holding a bottle of beer.

“You’re still awake?” taeyeon asked as jessica sat beside her and put her head on taeyeon’s shoulder

“I was actually half-asleep already, but when I reached out on the bed, you were not there. Then I saw you sitting alone here..” she put her chin on taeyeon’s shoulder and looked at her while caressing her arm “You having one of those nights? Is there anything I can do to help?”

“Is there anything you can do..umm.." she tries to think "nah, maybe my body’s just missing my own bed, I don’t know.” she lied and shrugged. She's been really nervous about how she’d tell jessica she wants to go with tiffany and seohyun to new york for juilliard audition “Don’t worry about it”

“Or is it because of my parents?” They’re actually staying at jessica’s parents’ house in korea for taeyeon to finally meet them “I know my parents can be a lot and it’s your first time meeting them…”

“I love them, they’re wonderful” taeyeon admitted genuinely

“I’m glad, they really like you too”

“They do?”

“Yeah, I mean you’re so charming and sweet, why wouldn’t they like you?”

“Oh, pfft” taeyeon looked away bashfully

“And they mentioned something about…the way you look at me?” jessica teased “My mom thinks you’re someone I can depend on... I think she’s right, even though we got a ticket for running the red light earlier because you couldn’t stop looking at me” she then kissed taeyeon’s blushing cheeks “You think I wouldn’t notice?”

Taeyeon remembered smiling and looking at jessica who was sitting at the passenger seat, eating a burger to-go they've ordered, listening to her blabbering about how seohyun says burgers can kill and how sooyoung will be on her shoulder trying to have a bite, then taeyeon would laugh in return. She felt happy and content just looking at jessica albeit guilty they could have died then and there.

“AND you shouldn’t be drinking because I fully know how much of an alcohol trash you are and I don’t want my parents seeing you drunk and rambling about game of thrones” jessica scolds

“Oh, no, I agree. I mean, my reputation will be ruined if ever they see me staggering and doing...whatever random my drunk thinks of." she remembers jessica's story about her being drunk and ridiculous and almost face-palmed

"But, just one more? Please? I’m not gonna get drunk, I promise” she pleaded with puppy eyes

“God, I hate you so much. Just one more, then we’ll sleep” jessica pulled taeyeon up so they can go steal a bottle in the fridge. While she was looking for the beers, she remembered something

“You know, we once danced in my kitchen at 2am” jessica chuckled when she remembered drunk taeyeon “We can’t right now though or my parents will kill us both.”

“What do you mean?” taeyeon has her eyebrows almost meeting at the center of her forehead, trying to remember what jessica was talking about

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you this, but I was really saving this topic as my ammo to tease you.” she laughed “When you went to my place drunk as , you suddenly pulled me, sang a song from breakfast at tiffany’s I think, I don't know the other one you sang, then we danced around by the fridge light” jessica said with a wide smile remembering the memory

“I feel betrayed Jung Sooyeon what the heck” taeyeon’s ears lit up red hearing about this drunk story “Oh my god, that’s so embarrassing…Audrey Hepburn, if you somehow saw that from the heaven, I am so sorry” said taeyeon who was looking at the ceiling

“It’s actually really cute. Let’s do that when we live together” she smiled then walked out to the patio.

“Yeah…Let’s.”

“It’s a really peaceful night, isn’t it?” jessica said as she sat and opened the beer for taeyeon.

“It is.” taeyeon nodded and sipped. She leans on her arm resting behind jessica.

“Remember that time we were at the park? That starry summer night?” jessica asked, leaning her body against taeyeon, loosely hugging her knees “It was after school then we decided to go eat ice cream after a long day.”

“That night was just as peaceful”

“Mm-hm, I remember vividly, our eyes were darting around the night sky and we’re trying to look for patterns, thinking what kind of people live up there in the stars.” jessica suddenly chuckles “We started making up names for the stars and planets like the ones in the little prince, do you remember?” she asked in between laughs and taeyeon just widely smiled

“Then out of nowhere, you told me a joke. What was the one pun you made? What was it?” she looks at taeyeon with a wide smile while tapping her thigh

“Wait….it was….dammit, I remember we can’t stop laughing” taeyeon laughed

“I think it has something to do with mushrooms”

“Wait I think I remember… that in order for fungi to grow, you need to give them as muchroom as possible” and jessica laughed while giving a light slap on taeyeon’s lap

“That gets me everytime, I don’t know why, I mean, it doesn't make any sense. Gosh, we’re such dorks” she laughs a few more times before settling down “After that you talked about your dream of performing and how you want to make endless amount of people happy. I listened to you talk about your favorite books and plays…”

“I’m sorry you have to listen to my boring rambles”

“No, no, it wasn’t boring at all. And I can never cut you off talking about the things you love, things you dream about... If only you could see your eyes that time, it was so bright” jessica said seeing a hint of blush on taeyeon’s face “then you noticed not too far from us, there was this huge dog wandering around”

“That one was a huge- dog but it’s actually cute, you even named him zero. I mean? Why?” taeyeon said after a sip from her beer

“Yeah ‘cause, I know it’s from your favorite cartoon movie. But you kept calling him zero anyways.” she pauses “When we...get married in the future, let’s get a house with a big yard with a little pond on the side and a swing on the other.. or a patio like this but bigger. Then we’ll watch zero run around—“

“We’re really gonna name our dog zero?” said taeyeon who has a wide smile

“Mm-hmm, it’s cute and unique, I like it.” taeyeon nods in response “And I’ll be calling you jack just because. I think zero will like you more than me. You’re good with animals.”

“Mmm, I’ll probably spoil him, but I have an inkling that he will be that one dog who will ignore me. ‘Zero-yah, quit bothering your mother. Come he-- yah, zero-yah.. Did he just ignore me? What is this?’” taeyeon acted with an imaginary zero on the ground which made jessica giggle at the weirdness

“Still, I think you’re gonna be a good dog parent. You gently coaxed the dog at the park into coming to you and trying to help him. I remembered being so impressed by that, your ability to calm him down and get him to trust you”

“I don’t know, animals just follow me around like a lamb as if I’m Mary or something” jessica laughed again by taeyeon’s responses

“I fell in love with you that night. Thinking how sweet you could be and how loving and passionate you are, how caring and funny… It was such a powerful feeling, hitting me all at once. I had an epiphany, like, Oh, of course I’m supposed to be with you, how have I not seen this the whole time? …It was so glaring.”

She smiled remembering the feeling “then I kissed you the night you confessed, and I promised myself I’d never let you go.” she whispered and looked at taeyeon. Taeyeon looked back with an equal amount of love seen in her eyes, knowing she’ll give the world to the girl she's looking at.

“I swore that I’ll make sure you’re always happy. I hope I’m doing a good job” she then put a gentle kiss just beside taeyeon’s lips and smiled.

After a moment of sipping beer and calming silence, jessica caressed her arms with her palms “It’s getting pretty chilly out here…”

“Why didn’t you bring your own blanket?”

“I was hoping I could get into that blanket of yours…and hug me or something..”

Taeyeon moved away, jokingly and selfishly covered herself fully with her blanket “What’s in it for me?”

“Oh my g—what’s in it for you?? Uhm, I don’t know? A sense of compassion and decency, maybe? The warming and comforting thought that you did something sweet for your incredible, and charming, and loving, and adorable girlfriend, perhaps??”

“No, get your own blanket, it’s cold”

“My god, you are such an . After all the sweet things I just confessed to you??”

“You love me anyway” taeyeon confidently shrugged while drinking the last ounce of her beer

“If you do it I’ll give you a treat~” jessica whispered seductively near taeyeon’s ear in which taeyeon got wide-eyed and suddenly put jessica’s legs across her lap, hugging her side-ways. “Wow, you move so fast all of a sudden. I wonder why?”

“I’m ready for my treat” taeyeon eagerly looked at jessica, her fingertips lightly gliding up jessica’s thigh

“Uh-uh-uh, what you doing there?” she teasingly asked and taeyeon answering with “What?” feigning innocence

“If you think I’m just going to let you..run your hand up my thigh like that, and pretend you’re not making a move, you…are sorely mistaken” she whispered but it was heard on deaf ears when taeyeon inches her face on jessica’s neck, leaving a trail of feather kisses. She can’t resist letting out a satisfied sigh

“Babe… c’mon…my family is in a close proximity to us… They’re in the living room and… someone might walk out”

“But you said you’ll give me a treat”

“I know I promised you a treat and a treat…” she gave a slow kiss on taeyeon’s lips “…you shall have."

Taeyeon is looking at her with intense eyes at this point and she can’t help but smirk “I love how you squirm under my touch like this, looking at me intensely, feeling hot and tense. Oh how you just want to...pounce on me and have your way with me. But…all in due time.” jessica explained with her lips hovering taeyeon’s but taeyeon complained “God, you’re such a tease.”

“Excuse me? I am not a tease”

“Then come on sica… let’s do it…” taeyeon went kissing jessica’s jaw slowly down to her pulse point. Jessica tries calling every saint that there is to give her strength after taeyeon does this but she just can’t resist anymore

“You know what, it. Let’s go upstairs” she pulled taeyeon up who was smiling victoriously “My god why are you always so , I hate you”

“But wait, isn’t krystal sleeping on the same bedroom?”

“Don’t worry, dad will be driving her back to her dorm.”

“But what if they hear us?”

“It’s fine, I think my room is soundpr— wait how am I the one trying to convince you right now? This makes no sense, come on.”

The two hurriedly walked, they were already walking upstairs when krystal suddenly appeared.

“You two okay? Why are you in a rush?”

“Ummm, we’re gonna sleep. Taeyeon feels very exhausted, so…” they looked at each other and awkwardly nodded

“…O..kay, well before you..sleep.., I forgot to mention you received a letter. Have you checked your e-mail too? I think it’s good news.” she hands the envelope to her sister “Right, I’m gonna go. Have fun sleeping.” then walked out.

“Yah Jung Sooju-- Ugh, I hate her sometimes.”

“Well umm, what’s that letter about?” taeyeon peeked on jessica’s shoulder as she opened the letter. She heard a gasp.

“Oh my….I got in…? I-I got in!” She smiled widely to taeyeon “I got into a fashion school! In paris!!”

“Really?! Oh my god! Congratulations!!” taeyeon embraced jessica tightly, very elated from her girlfriend’s achievement. “I’m so proud of you” she genuinely said

“Will you come with me? I’m sure there are plenty of schools for performing arts in france, are there?”

She gently smiled at her and answered "I’ll go where you go” she gives up a dream of attending her dream school for a future with jessica, everything will be worth it she thought to herself. Jessica throws her arms on taeyeon’s shoulder and kissed her “God I love you so much”

“You know what we should do? We should celebrate. I’m still waiting for that treat you promised me, Ms. Jung”

Jessica whispers, pulling taeyeon upstairs. “As I said, a treat you shall have. Let’s go”
