It was a cool morning; the birds can be heard just outside the window, the warmth of the sunlight peeked through the blinds of taeyeon’s room as it hits Jessica’s bare face. Skin to skin, she moved a bit to have a better view of taeyeon’s sleeping face. She loves how their bodies perfectly fit each other like two puzzle pieces, no awkward positions, just comfortably cuddling. It was short-lived as taeyeon’s eyes flutter open.

“Good morning~” Jessica gently whispered

Taeyeon yawned and stretched a little “Good morning, how are you feeling?” she sleepily asked with a smile

“I feel great, you?”

“More than great”

“Good” Jessica giggled then nuzzled her nose to taeyeon's.

After they ran through the rain and went inside taeyeon’s place, they had to put their clothes to the dryer and… their conversation got a little bit steamy that Jessica had to stay the night.

“You look amazing in the morning light like this” Jessica sweetly said but taeyeon got too shy and hid her face on the pillow. Jessica giggled at this cuteness, this is definitely new to her.

“Don’t turn away~ am I embarrassing you?” she teased. “Aww, you’re so cute when you’re bashful” Then kissed her shoulder.

“It almost makes me want to keep whispering sweet nothings in your ear, just so I can see that look on your face” she whispered and the teasing continues

“Stooop, why are you being like this??” taeyeon whined as her cheeks hinted Jessica a blush

“Because I didn’t know you were so cute like this” she sweetly admitted “Come here” she pulled taeyeon in a soft and gentle kiss but taeyeon realized something

“Did you already brush your teeth? You taste like mint.”

“What? Mm-mm, no, definitely did not already brush my teeth. I’m just, umm, I’m naturally mint-y.” she defended but taeyeon just had one of her eyebrow raised, not having any of it

“Oh what, you think I woke up before you, snuck out of bed and stealth-brush my teeth, came back to bed and ogle at you and lied about it?”

“Yeah sure, I’m convinced from that painfully specific explanation you just had and did not definitely brush your teeth.”

“……ok fine, I did. But it’s better that way” she kissed taeyeon a few more times to prove her point “See?”

“You don’t have to, you know. I’d still kiss you even if your breath smells like the tuna casserole got spoiled.” She teased then pecked Jessica’s lips but she earned a punch in the shoulder in return “OWW!??”

“ you, you trying to be sweet or not? Make up your damn mind” she rolled her eyes at her and taeyeon laughed

“Anyways, how are you feeling? I mean, I just wanna make sure that you feel completely fine about…last night...if you know what I mean” she asked taeyeon

“Yeah, it’s okay, so-so. I’m not that into it though.”

“Oh, no, uh-uh, I know you were soooo into it, believe me” she countered “I know things happened kind of, unexpectedly, and rapidly. So rapid, actually. I’m just making sure you’re okay with this.”

“Are you giving me an out now?” taeyeon teased

“Nope” she pecked taeyeon’s lips “I’m not trying to give you an out, because there are no outs” she giggled. “But seriously, if you want things to go back to how things were between us, that’s fine too.”

“Do you…want us to stay just friends? Or?” taeyeon asked hesitantly

“No! No, I mean, we’re very good friends and we have a few friends in common...okay, a bunch of common friends….okay, I mean we have the same group of friends. I’m just thinking how things will get a little…..interesting” she smiled suggestively

“Oh god, just thinking of the reaction when they find out”

“It’s gonna be so interesting, don’t you think?” she giggled “I’m just being dramatic, what I only care about is that I can make out with you now.” She whispered then pulled taeyeon into a steamy kiss

“In all honesty, I’ve kinda been waiting for it to happen for a while now. And after last night, I have a feeling you did too.” She admitted “I had an inkling, but you know me, I’m literally so clueless and absent-minded half the time, I just didn’t want to assume anything.”

“You should have told me when you felt it, we could’ve saved the time and made out sooner” she teased

“But you’re like, so far out of my league, how could I?”

“Me? No, hun, YOU’RE far out of my league.”

“You are! Are you kidding? You are so hot, what are you talking about?” taeyeon shook her head at this “Oh. My. You are so hot, but you don’t even know it.” Jessica teased

“Nope. Oh my god why are we even having this conversation right now”

“I even overheard a fight one time, there were two students arguing about what hair color suits you best, that’s so ridiculous.” She laughed “I better act fast though, or someone might steal you away” she pecked taeyeon’s lips again “I will let them know that I’m the luckiest girl for waking up next to you this morning.”

“That’s sweet of you to say, but you will never convince me that I’m the one out of your league, because that is simply not factual. You are literally the most beautiful human being and everyone loves you. But we have to stop this conversation or else, we’ll be stuck in perpetual disagreement, okay?” she then pecked jessica’s nose

They stayed silent for a while and just appreciate being cuddled up with each other and thinking how much they both loved their playful banters.

“Do you want to get up?” Taeyeon asked

“No, I don’t want to get up. Are you crazy? What kind of psychopath wants to get up and do stuff? Gross.” Jessica retaliated

“Are you saying that I’m a psychopath??” taeyeon feigned shock and jessica giggled

“No, no. I just mean, why would you want to get up? Especially when we can just stay in each other’s arms while I run my fingers through your hair. You’d be a fool to want to get out of bed.” She started running her fingers through taeyeon’s hair and liked how softly it glides on her palms.

“Although… you know what we could do? We could get dressed and---“ jessica was interrupted when taeyeon complained

“Get dressed?! You called me a psychopath for asking you if you want to get up, but you’re saying we should get dressed instead of being and just lay down here? What atrocity.”

“—no, no wait, byuntaeyeon, hear me out.” jessica laughed “We could get dressed, and go to that cute little café with the amazing coffee around the block. Grab foods to go, go back here and, we can eat it at bed while we watch a movie or something.”

“Mmm…okay. What do you want to watch? I’d say game of thrones but you can decide.”

“It’ll take me forever to decide what to watch…. Actually, you know what? I have a better idea. How about, I get dressed, and you stay here, watch me get dressed” she giggled “and I’ll go get breakfast, then you can decide what movie to watch”

“Oooh, I like that” she smiled

“Oh you think that sounds better? ert” jessica teased. They pecked each other lips playfully for a good minute “okay, I’m really going. ok” then pecked taeyeon’s lips one more time “I love you—wait what.”

Taeyeon got giddy when she heard that. Jessica really didn’t say that three words back when she confessed the night before, so she got excited.

“What? Did you say ‘I love you’?”

“No, you didn’t hear anything. Bye!” she doesn’t know why but she can’t stop giggling while getting dressed

“I love you too!!” she smiled after jessica bolted out the door.

“Hello? Are you not shocked or are you guys simply not listening? Two of your friends are together, there’s really no reaction??” Jessica complained to their other friends while showcasing her hand that was holding taeyeon’s

After school, they went to the theater guild to do some club activities. They saw this as a chance to finally inform their other friends of their relationship, they were expecting a different reaction though.

“I’m more shocked at how dense you two are. You two literally eye- whenever we get together for lunch or gather around after school. Ugh, I cringe whenever I think about it. We ALL know you two like each other, but it’s ridiculous how you only realize that now. “ Sooyoung savagely explained

“I don’t” yuri raised her hand. She’s actually the only one shocked hearing the news about jessica and taeyeon

“You’re running first place for being dense yuri” hyoyeon, another savage

“We saw it coming, we’re not even shocked. This is actually so funny” tiffany laughed a bit, pausing from reading the script

“Were we really that obvious?” taeyeon asked in disbelief

“Duh, we actually made a bet about who will snap out of it first, well, except for seohyun.” yoona teased, seohyun just shook her head then got back into painting props.

“WHAT??!” the couple shouted.

“So who confessed first?” sunny asked

“It’s definitely you jessica, just admit it. You always follow wherever she’s going, whenever I see taeyeon, there’s not a time that I will not see you, I swear to god. Are you a dog or something? You’re so whipped” sooyoung teased

“No, jessica’s stubborn. She’s an “It’s not that I like you or anything” type of girl while taeyeon says what she wants.” Hyoyeon argued with a funny voice “It’s definitely taeyeon.”

“JUST STOP IT!!” the two shouted again with blush on their faces, one fuming with anger, one embarrassed. Then their friends just laughed at them in tease.
