The day after in school during break time Jiyeon go to the school yard, sitting on a bench read her book.  She needs a little fresh air after having class, she reads her book while listening to her ipod.  Suddenly someone tapped her shoulder and she take a look a person behind her back, it’s suzy.  Jiyeon smiled to suzy and invite her to take a sit.

“jiyeon-ah, you don’t take a lunch?” suzy asked.

“this” Jiyeon showed suzy her biscuits.

“yah, it’s not a lunch it’s just a snack” Suzy scold her

“but I like it” Jiyeon said “you want one?” Jiyeon continuing her words.

“no” suzy said and continuing her words “Jiyeon, are you okay now?”

“hum” Jiyeon nodded and smile “why you asking me that question?”

“aniya, it’s just everytime I see you, you seems like you’re forcing your smile” said suzy

Jiyeon sigh and  said “now I’m trying to have my normal life again, I don’t want others to see me as a pathetic person”.

“yeah I know, anyway you can always tell me everything right? Since I’m your bestfriend from the day you transferred here.  Don’t avoiding me Jiyeon-ah or I will kick your ” Suzy said

Jiyeon laugh of what suzy said, she knew that Suzy will always be there for her. Jiyeon felt sorry for avoiding suzy these months.  They chattering along breaktime, thanks to silly suzy, at least Jiyeon could smile and laugh that day. The class is already over, Myungsoo was waiting for Jiyeon at the school gate.  Jiyeon run to him and saying sorry for coming late because she has to return a book to library.  As usual Myungsoo just nodded and let her walk in front him.  Jiyeon try to talk to Myungsoo again

“so how was your day?” Jiyeon started the conversation

“Just so-so”  Myungsoo answered shortly.  Jiyeon already know that Myungsoo will have a short reply.

“why you don’t walk beside me? It’s weird that everyday we’re going to school together but we act like a stranger” Jiyeon told myungsoo.

“there’s no need” Myungsoo replied.

“by the way this year is our senior year, have you prepared for college exam?” Jiyeon keep asking

“nope, not yet” Myungsoo said.

“can’t you  answered my question a little bit longer? It’s difficult for me to keep talking to you if you just answered my question that short”  Jiyeon muttered, Myungsoo heard it

“don’t talk to me then” Myungsoo keep holding his tone

“so why you always accompanying me and waiting for me?” Jiyeon said with a higher tone, feel annoyed and stopped her step looking at Myungsoo.

Myungsoo can’t hold his temper, he faced Jiyeon “BECAUSE  I PROMISED SEUNGHO THAT I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU, EVEN THOUGH I HATE YOU FOR BEING THE CAUSE OF MY BESTFRIEND DEATH, ARA?” Myungsoo yelled at Jiyeon face and keep looking through her eyes. Jiyeon stunned by Myungsoo’s words he hate me, I used to know this, b-but why I feel so hurt? Jiyeon trembled as she try hold her tears but still she can’t hold it, it’s her first time snapped by someone, tears rolled in her cheek and she look to the ground.

Myungsoo seems surprised seeing Jiyeon tears because it’s his first time to see her cry, she never cry in front of anyone before, not even when Seungho died, she just looked stiff and lack of emotions that time.  Guilt comes to Myungsoo’s heart as he moved his hands willing to wipe her tears, but something hold him as Jiyeon looked through his eyes and said “now I understand Myungsoo, thanks for keeping your promise to him” she forced her smile and looked away, continued her step leaving Myungsoo behind.
