Haneul's Goodbye
Golden Quill - The Leaders (GQ3)Chen swayed at this latest revelation. His brother, no wait, his younger brother was sleeping with Jung Kyungsoo’s older sister. “Someone kill me now,” he whispered.
Taeyoon was red in the face, the complete opposite of Chen. “Yah, Min Chanyeol do something. I think he’s going to faint.”
“Hyung…listen it was a long time ago when I visited the States and…”
“Even worse.” Chen groaned and pointed an accusatory finger, “This needs to stop. Right now!” he pointed to the ground, “If Kyungsoo finds out…” he trailed off suggestively.
The severity of the situation finally dawned on Chanyeol, “I will speak to Kyungsoo ssi and…”
Chen’s incredulous laugh stopped him and made Taeyoon wince, “Are you insane? Do you want to die young? In case you forgot, this is Jung Kyungsoo we’re talking about. He will bury you.”
“Hey. Don’t I have a say in any of this?” Taeyoon resented giving her brother this much power over her. Wasn’t this why she’d run, no went to the States in the first place? To get away from this overbearing Consortium and all its rules?
“Nuna,” Chen placed a comforting hand on her shoulder and the other hand fell heavily onto Chanyeol’s shoulder. Chanyeol winced as Chen squeezed, “Are you saying you want to be with my brother?”
Taeyoon glanced quickly at Chanyeol, “I…”
Chanyeol rolled his eyes, “It’s okay hyung. I’m over it. I will never fall in love with another Jung again.”
Chen couldn’t help but smile, “Well that’s a good thing considering the only remaining Jung would be Kyungsoo.” It wasn’t lost on him that Chanyeol confessed his love for Taeyoon. Whether he was aware of it or not. “Let’s get Jennie home.” He guided his brother into the car and closed the door. The driver strapped a thankfully sleeping Jennie back into the baby seat and waited patiently in the driver's seat.
Chen straightened and met Taeyoon’s eyes, “I remember one of the hardest things for Kyungsoo was hearing that you’d married someone he’d never met. Someone he didn’t know would protect you, treat you right. I remember on the day he heard you were married, he got so drunk and cried on my shoulder."
Taeyoon couldn’t imagine that at all.
“When you divorced and said you were coming home, he got drunk again and cried on my shoulder saying, 'hyung, nuna’s coming home. I won’t ask her anything, I won’t pry, nuna’s coming home and I’m so happy.'”
Taeyoon’s eyes filled with tears. This is the first time she was hearing this. The words she wanted so badly to hear from her brother were coming from Chen.
“He may not say it, but that bulldog loves you fierce
