"Its been a long year. These men that entered as boys are leaving as soldiers today. And not just any soldiers, but soldiers who fight for the truth, who fight to stand against the injustice, and men who breed for excellence. I humbly say, men, you have become proud civil servants of our prestigious country." The chief of the Seoul Police Academy stood by the podium giving his respected bow; indicating the time to celebrate. 

It was January 7, 1986, when the most brilliant young man graduated from the Seoul Police Academy. His name was Park Jinyoung; a man who came from humble backgrounds and terrible misfortunes. He is among one of the youngest to graduate from the University of Seoul, and until recently was the top of one of the hardest police academies in all of South Korea. He had a vision for himself, he wanted to be a detective. Not just any detective, but one who was intelligent, great with the ladies, and was given more than a cheap salary. He wanted to be one of Korea's top 1 percent. 

The 1 percent were elite nobodies. No one knows who they are, but they can solve the most dangerous cases, and even have connections to closed cold cases. They find ways to get every crook who walks the streets of Korea, even if it means using the same methods as the corrupt. Some say that the 1 percent detectives are from all over the world and stand right in plain sight, but no one knows for sure.

"Park Jinyoung!" A familiar face with a familiar voice yelled through the chattery crowd. It was his good friend Jackson. They've been friends since college. Jackson was never the type to fight bad guys he'd much rather socialize and take to the pen then the cuffs. Today, he is a successful chief editor at the Seoul Times. "Well, well, well...look whose finally going to catch some jerks with that brilliant mind of his." Jinyoung smiled. He and Jackson were the same age, but Jackson always spoke as if he was older. "I didn't think you were coming!" Th
