It was two in the morning when Momo found herself wide awake at her own grumble stomach. She sighed as she rubbed her abdomen, trying to calm the eating monster inside her stomach. Seriously, it doesn’t even close to three hours since she had snack with three of the members which were Jeongyeon, Chaeyoung and Dahyun.

     Momo unlocked her phone screen and glanced at the clock. She sat for a while, thinking whether to walk to the kitchen and find something in the fridge or rather continue to sleep. She wanted to choose the latter, but her grumbling stomach couldn’t stop any moment. She afraid she might disturb Jeongyeon who sleeping silently beside her.

     Another sigh before Momo jumped off the bed with careful, not to awake the ostrich up in the middle of the night. She wore her pink fluffy slipper and walked towards her only destination. Yes, the kitchen.

     Momo wanted to curse at the sight of the empty fridge in front of her. She should remind the big eyes leader tomorrow about groceries shopping. Sure, they didn’t cook but hey, Momo was hungry after all.

     When Momo already gave up searching, she closed the fridge door. Her ears perked at the sound of someone stepping under the same roof as her.

     “Who would be wake up at this time?” Momo whispered to herself. While Momo was preparing herself with a pan—in case some stranger broke into their dorm, a silhouette came from the hallway corner into the kitchen area. Momo sighed in relieve.

     That person was Mina. She was wearing her oversized pyjama and her favourite penguin slipper, and she was hugging her penguin plushie. Momo swore Mina looked so cute at that moment. Turning at the point, Mina’s eyes widen upon seeing another member in the kitchen.

     “Momo unnie? Why aren’t you asleep yet?” Mina asked as she walked to where Momo was standing. She was confused seeing Momo holding onto a pan. Momo shook her head, put the pan back to the rack and turned to face Mina.

      “I was sleeping but suddenly felt hungry. How about you?” Momo asked. Mina went to grab a mug near the sink, the one with a penguin face on it and put it on the kitchen counter.

     “I’m thirsty.” She said while pouring the water into the mug. She lifted it and drank the content in one gulp. Momo unconsciously her lips, after seeing Mina’s throat moving up and down while the younger one gulping the cold water.

“Oh.”

     “Did you find anything to eat anyway?” Mina asked, turning to Momo after she finished washing her mug. Momo was snapped back to the reality. She didn’t even remember what Mina had asked her.

“Y-Yes?”

     Mina chuckled. Momo was flustered and embarrassed at the same time. She was caught daydreaming in front of the younger girl.

     “I’m asking you if you had found anything yet to eat, Momoring.” Ah, that nickname. The other members sometimes calling her that too, but when it slipped from Mina’s mouth, Momo felt different. To be honest, everything Mina did was different to Momo.

     “A-Ah. No. There’s nothing here.” Momo answered, cheeks flushing with bright red. Luckily the light was dimmed, or Momo would grew redder because Mina might saw her blushing.

     This is such a turn over. Usually, Mina would found herself being shy towards Momo. But this time, it seems like Momo was the one who is shy. Mina seemed nothing happen to her from the outside but to be truth, her heart was pounding at the same speed as Momo’s. It’s freaking fast that you couldn’t imagine. Mina almost thought that her heart might fallen out of her chest.

     Eventually, Mina offered Momo her ramen that her mother bought for her when they were having a schedule in Japan. Since Mina missed Japanese ramen so much, she asked her mother to buy her a few packet, however, the latter ended up buying a box of ramen.

     Mina went inside her room sneakily, not to wake up the other three members. Especially Jihyo. The leader might scold them for eating ramen at such time. It’s freaking two in the morning!

     When Mina back into the kitchen, she offered to cook for the older girl too. Mina is such a good cook that Momo can’t deny. She ended up agreeing to the younger girl. She still remember how good Mina’s pasta was when they were filming for TWICE TV4.

     “Daughter in-law.” Momo mumbled out loud. Mina turned to look at Momo with cheeks flushed with red tint, while Momo covered with her palm. She grinned awkwardly.

      “I just suddenly remembered how you cook pasta for me.” Momo explained.

     “That was last year, Momoring.” Mina chuckled and continued to the boiling water. She tore a packet of ramen and put it in the boiling water. “How could you ever remember that anyway?” She asked, blushing. But she made sure to hide it from Momo as she faced the other side.

     “There’s no way I would forget that you cook for me.” Momo said, but in a low voice that went unnoticed by Mina. It had been for a while, and the ramen was cooked. Mina poured the portion into a bowl and served it for the hungry princess.

     “Thank you, Mitang~” Momo took the chopstick and started digging in. Mina watched silently as Momo devoured her food. She glad that Momo can eat and sooth her grumbling stomach at night. She was happy that she also made Momo happy even it just a simple gesture.

     “Don’t you want to eat too?” Momo asked, looking up at Mina as she slurped the noodle. Mina shook her head and said, “I’m fine. You eat.”

    “No. Let’s eat together.” Momo stood up from the stool and went to grab another chopstick. “Let’s share this together.” Momo said as she passed Mina the chopstick.

“But…”

     Momo gave no damn. She won’t accept Mina’s excuse and they both eating in the same bowl. Momo sometimes stole a glance or two at Mina, and immediately regret as she choke upon seeing how angelic Mina could be while eating ramen.

    “Momoring, are you okay?!” Mina went up and grabbed a glass of water to Momo. She helped rubbing circle on Momo’s back, trying to soothing the burning sensation in her chest. Momo thanked Mina.

     When everything’s turned into normal way, they ate again. Momo slurped one noodle, ended up knowing the other end was between Mina’s lips. Both looked up towards each other in shock. None of them were cutting the noodle for each other, instead, Momo slurped it again, bringing her face closer towards Mina.

     Mina’s face was beetroot red. Momo was coming closer and she can’t run away, as if she had been stuck on the stool and her body was being tied to something invincible. Her heart was pounding faster than ever, running on the same beat as Momo. Mina shut her eyes tightly, as she felt Momo’s warm breath hitting her lips.

     Mina felt Momo’s lips brushing hers. She thought Momo’s gonna kiss her, turned out, she cut the noodle with her teeth. “That’s my portion.” She said, as if nothing happen. She was ignoring Mina’s blushing face. She was oblivious to Mina’s sudden change of expression, because she too was aware of her own beating heart. She thought that she might turn crazy with Mina.

     After a while, they finally finished the noodle. Momo slurped until the last bit, and emptied the whole bowl. Mina was full too. She was about to wash the bowl when Momo beat her to it. She just waiting for Momo.

     “Why don’t you go to sleep first?” Momo asked, once she finished washing and was drying her hand with the hand towel.

     “I’m waiting for unnie. Have you done?” Mina asked, smilingly. She tried to make the atmosphere less awkward.

     “Hmm. But Mina,” Mina looked at Momo. “Do you want to have a nice mug of hot chocolate with me before sleep?”

     Mina was thinking. Well, it’s not she gonna sleep yet as soon as she land on her bed. She probably remembering how Momo leaned in into her lips just now. So, she just nodded. Momo felt her heart skipped a beat at the adorable sight.

     So, both of them were sitting on the couch in the living room, both were occupied with a mug of hot chocolate like Momo had said. They sat in silent, only the sound of sipping and nice aroma of chocolate filled the air. And at this time, Momo decided to break the silence.

     “Mina.” She called. Mina looked up almost immediately, when she jumped out at how close their face were. It was practically three inches before their lips meeting each other. Mina felt herself awestruck, when Momo leaned in again. It’s déjà freaking vu. Mina wasn’t lying. And this moment, Momo didn’t cut anything between them. Mina was shocked how she was the one who pecked Momo’s lips out of the blue.

     Maybe because Momo’s lips were tempting. Or, maybe because she can’t hold herself anymore after being in such close proximity with the latter. Mina cursed mentally for her stupid action.

    “M-Momo unnie, I-I…” Mina stuttered. To be honest, she don’t know what to explain. It was damn awkward. “I’m sorry.” Mina slumped her shoulder and looked down embarrassedly. “I will just go to sleep.” When Mina stood up, Momo immediately held onto her wrist.

     “Mina, wait.” She pulled Mina to sit back on the couch, only a little bit closer than before. Mina was uncomfortable, but at the same time happy to be in that position again. This way, she can sniff Momo’s sweet scent.

     “Mina, look at me.” Mina looked up, only to see Momo was smiling at her. Momo reached out for Mina’s mug, putting it down with hers on the floor near the couch. Momo leaned in, again. This time, Mina prayed for the best.

     While Mina was shutting her eyes close, she felt a pair of soft lips on top of hers. The innocent lip-to-lip contact sent heat rushing through her face. Slowly, Momo’s lips were moving on hers, and Mina couldn’t help but to respond. Momo just kissed her, for real. Mina hoped this wasn’t one of her dream. She swear if it was a dream, she gonna kill herself somehow.

     Mina noticed how Momo’s hand was landed on her nape, while hers were around the latter’s neck. Both were pulling each other closer as their lips moving passionately. After a while, Momo decided to pull off, but their forehead still against each other.

     Mina opened her eyes, and met Momo’s dark one. She was smiling, and Mina couldn’t help but to smile too.

     “What is this? I thought you like Chaeyoung.” Momo said.

     “Who said? Chaeyoung is Dahyun’s.” Mina replied smilingly. “I only like you and now I admit, for a long time already.” She blushed and Momo found it was cute.

     “You adorable cutie pie.” Momo grinned. “I like you too.” A peck on Mina’s lips. Her hand was caressing Mina’s nape all over again and they both leaned for another kiss.

     “Wanna be my girlfriend?”
