Chapter 22 - New pack members

"Did you guys feel that?" Baekhyun gasps, sitting up straight on the couch. 

"Yes," Suho mumbles, looking to his right where Kris is sitting, his eyes wide. Every wolf in the room had felt it, a weird sensation that's supposed to occur only once in a werewolf's life.

Kai's footsteps are suddenly thundering down the staircase and he enters the living room, eyes wide in surprise. Kris and his pack suddenly howl, bowing their heads in submission, and Ara watches in bewilderment until she herself feels her heart vibrate weirdly. 

"Your wolves have become a part of my pack," Kai whispers, surprise all over his face. 

"And you've accepted it." Suho stands up, walking over to his alpha. "It wouldn't have been possible unless your wolf allowed it." 

"Am I also supposed to feel it happen?" Everyone looks over at Ara, and Kai frowns. "I kinda just felt something weird in my heart, I don't know what it was."

"Holy ," Tao gasps, and Sehun nods in agreement. 

"Are you sure?" Kyungsoo worriedly asks, and Ara nods immediately, eyes wide in worry. 

"Why? What does it mean?"

"It means that you're also a part of our pack, holy motherfuc-"

"Language," Luhan snaps and pinches Sehun, who howls in pain. He then looks over at Ara and shakes his head in disbelief. "You're a part of our pack, this is amazing."

"How is it possible?" Kris asks, frowning at Kai who shrugs, speechless. "I have heard about witches and mages being a part of werewolf packs, but I've never experienced it myself."

"This explains why you felt like pack when I first met you," Sehun whispers, staring at Ara as if she grew another head. "My wolf literally wanted to protect you and touch you all the time, I thought I'd gone mad and already downloaded por-." This time, a blushing Tao wraps his hand around Sehun's mouth and shakes his head furiously. 

"I felt it too," Baekhyun whispers, and Kyungsoo nods in agreement. 

"It felt like she was a part of the pack already, that's why we immediately seeked contact with her and allowed her to stay with us," Kyungsoo explains, turning to Ara with a small smile. "Ara, you're officially one of us!"

"This explains why I didn't find the cuddling and snuggling disturbing." Sehun snickers at Ara's comment and immediately throws his arm around her neck, pulling her close. Kai watches everything quietly, and he bites his lip in worry. Ara is the pack's Luna, but the boys aren't exactly aware of that. Kai realizes that it is easier now to tell her the truth, because she's already a part of the pack, but at the same time he is not ready to reveal it. Yet. 

"Since you're a part of the pack now," Lay chimes, holding a hand up, a wide smile on his face, his dimples prominent. "Does it mean that you're going to be staying here more often?"

"More often than I already do?" Ara giggles, blushing slightly, and Sehun cooes next to her, Ara blushes harder and Kai growls lowly in his throat. At the sound, Ara stops giggling and ducks her head slightly so her hair casts a shadow around it, while Sehun and every other boy in the room looks knowingly at each other. Kai is jealous, and it's absolutely hilarious.
