Chapter 1: Coffee Killer

“Youngjae get your off the floor. We have a visitor!” Himchan hollered as soon as he opened the front door. He kicked his shoes off, and then to at least give it some more quote and quote respect, he kicked them again so they would hit the base of the wall where they joined the other unfortunate shoes and sandals. And as a habit, he the television before proceeding to the fridge for some iced coffee. “You will regret it big time if you won’t move from your hibernating spot Mr. Yoo,” he added when he got no reaction from the younger.

Splayed on the floor in his strawberry shortcake boxers, Youngjae was flaunting his usual sleeping position. Right hand lying on an extra pillow just above his head, left hand slipped under his thin sleeveless shirt and both legs extended everywhere. A sleeping habit he came to develop when he discovered the ecstasy of sleeping on the cold floor.
    
“Shut your mouth Himchan,” he murmured, “and close the damned door it’s too bright.” Was what Youngjae said but he wasn’t even opening his eyes. The ‘too bright’ for him is when a very thin fragment of light could pass through the curtain of his closed eyes. It’s a ‘too bright’.

“Ah. I’m sorry,” said a voice.

Followed by a soft click.

Youngjae finally realized the seriousness of the situation so he turned around and opened his eyes. 

No doubt that the door was closed gently.

It wasn’t Himchan that closed it. 

It was some thick lipped man in a black and white checkered polo shirt.

Youngjae scurried to his feet to salvage whatever pride he has left and ran upstairs for his life.

Himchan just raised his brows before joining their visitor on the sofa.

“Does he normally behave like that?” the man, Daehyun asked with a hint of amusement in his voice.

“Uhuh. You bet. The high-end-cream-of-the-crop model student back in our university,” Himchan answered as a matter of factly, “is a helpless potato in reality.”

Both guys lifted up their heads in unison at the sound of something crashing on the floor. “There he goes destroying everything again,” Himchan chortled. “He’ll show up transformed in seven seconds.”

Daehyun didn’t say anything back and just joined the older keep an eye on the stairs waiting for the seven seconds to pass.

But it didn’t even take that much time before an entirely different man stood in front of them. Hair pushed back with a blue tazmanian devil headband, eyes framed with a particularly big rimless eyeglasses and chest. Just chest. Daehyun couldn’t continue on with the full body inspection anymore so he just turned his attention on the bare floor. It’s a lot better to look at a bare floor than at a bare chest. (Just for the time being though.)
