Confusion

Maturity

There was a tense atmosphere in the apartment home.

"Naeun-ssi, who is this girl?!" The man growled, as if upset that all of his plans were ruined.

"She's-" Naeun wanted to say something but was immediately cut off by the older girl.

"Are you deaf? She's mine and you should just be on your way. We have no business with you." said Eunji, like a tiger ready to bite.

"Move. You're nothing but a lowly-commoner. Get your filthy hands of her, Miss Naeun doesn't deserve to be with a person as lowly as you." Taemin continued, obviously setting his line against the rich and the poor.

"Oh yeah? Well, too bad." smirked Eunji as she suddenly grabbed hold of Naeun's cheek and pulled her lips in. For a short moment, her tongue moved in, before quickly removing herself and looking back at the man with a sneer. "She's already been stained by me."

"I'm warning you. Once I tell my father of this, you will know that you shouldn't be messing with me, the son of Lee Corporations."

"Oh yeah? Go ahead then." scoffed Eunji with confidence.

"Miss Naeun. You have no idea what you have just done. Just you wait. The contract will not be terminated and I will have you as my wife. It won't be long." warned the man before he had no other choice but to storm out of the apartment, slamming the door with anger.

Leaving the couple alone, Eunji finally let go of her hands before sighing.

"Gosh, I was so damn ing scared!" The girl could finally cuss out loud as she banged herself into the wall. It was all an act to be intimidating in front of Taemin. After all, Eunji was a pretty good actress since high school. Naeun couldn't help but to laugh, it reminded herself of the younger, more youthful Eunji. Perhaps, she realised the reasons why she couldn't let herself fall out of love.

Because this girl just had too many charms, like the bright sun.

"But what are we going to do now unnie? My dad will hear of this news soon and..." said Naeun in worry, realising the consequences.

"Naeun-ah, we'll be together forever right?" asked Eunji as she held onto her hand warmly.

"Mm.." she nodded without hesitation.

"Then you have to trust me. What's going to happen from now on, it's going to get quite messy but as long as you're by my side, I have nothing to be afraid of." The older girl smiled while fixing Naeun's disheveled hair. "You might see me getting angry or even getting hurt because a war is going to start. A war between me and your father."

"I made my decision. I don't want to get married to him. I want to get back with you, unnie."

"That's my girl." said Eunji proceeding to place a peck on her forehead. "As long as you're here with me, the world can't possibly break us apart again, can it?" she smiled.

The world seemed to be spinning. Bomi groaned as she opened her eyes, only to be woken by a terrible headache. She was wasn't fully aware of what happened last night, just blinded in anger as she drank away till her wallet was empty. Touching the bedsheets and the scent of the blanket, it was her own bed. She was back home.

Chorong unnie must've brought me back.

Glancing at the clock, it was 6PM. How long was she out for? There was a little note at the side of the table and it read:

"Bom-ah. I'm out at the supermarket to buy dinner. I'll be back soon"

That's when reality finally hit her. She remembered what happened last night. Her fury of jealousy. She was supposed to run away from home, run away from her wife. Yet, here she was, in bed. Her plan was all ruined and she didn't know how to face Chorong when she comes back.

Clutching onto her chest tightly, her heart was in so much pain. She didn't know why. Or rather, she wasn't even sure why rage blinded her the moment Irene appeared in her mind. It was as if, she lost control of herself. As if, a monster took over her soul.

"I ed up real bad. ."

Getting out of bed, Bomi staggered while trying to walk. Holding on the wall, she opened her cupboard and started stuffing random pieces of clothes into a bag. She knew her mistakes. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to face it. The only choice she made, was to run away. Wearing the stuffed bag over her shoulder, she headed out and locked the door before slipping the keys underneath.

"What the am I doing?!"

Bomi was confused, lost and dazed. Perhaps it could be due to the aftereffects of consuming too much alcohol and she just wasn't thinking straight. Managing to exit her apartment, the girl called and got a taxi over.

"Where to, Miss?"

"Mapo Apartments, thank you."

Soon, the taxi drove off to the destination as Bomi stared into blank space, realising what she has done. But there was no turning back. She wanted to run. Run away from Chorong.

About 15 minutes later, Chorong returned home, arms full with grocery bags. With much struggle, she opened the door but with her eagle eyes, she saw Bomi's house key on the floor. Immediately, she could sense that something was wrong. She was a very quick and sharp person, probably the reason why it was always difficult for Bomi to make up lies or hide things from her. But what is the secret Bomi was trying to hide that even the quick-witted Chorong could not see?

Placing the bags on the table, the girl walked into the bedroom.

"Bom-ah?"

However, she found the bedroom in a whole mess. The cupboards were opened, clothes scattered on the floor and Bomi, gone.

With a sigh, Chorong fell to the floor as she sat down. She didn't even know what went wrong anymore. She doesn't even know what's going on. Why is Bomi acting like this all of sudden?

Yet, she couldn't shake off the words Bomi mumbled in her sleep earlier. Soyou unnie.

The name had been disturbing her this whole time.

Their relationship had been sailing steadily since their marriage, why is it struggling now? The girl knew it would be illogical to think Irene was the main cause of this, it just didn't make sense at all. Something else must've triggered it. But what was it?

She was so aware of her wife's obsessive behaviour yet, why didn't she do anything about it?

Why did she just let Bomi be?

Why did she allow her wife to control her?

Was it because she loved her so much, that she listened to whatever she said?

All of a sudden, there was a loud thud of a door opening inside the student council office.

"Bom-ah, I told you to knock. Not barge it like that." scolded Chorong as she was at her desk, doing some paperwork.

"You're cheating on me."

"What?!" The girl was completely baffled by her words.

"You were holding hands with Changsub!"

"Bom-ah. He's a childhood friend of mine. Holding hands is normal for us."

"But you're dating me! Not him!" The girl scowled. Never before had Chorong seen her this angry. The once, bubbly, cheerful Bomi was gone.

"Fine. I won't hold hands with him anymore." sighed Chorong. She wanted to be a good girlfriend. She understood what Bomi meant but she didn't know that she would've gotten so hurt by it. Yet for some reason, she found it cute in a way. Perhaps, it was due to the fact that Bomi wanted her whole attention by herself.

Bomi wanted her girlfriend all by herself.

A week later.

Again, Bomi barged into the student council office.

"Bom-ah, how many times did I tell you to knock-"

"You're cheating on me again!"

"What?! What did I even do this time?!" Chorong was flustered, stressed by Bomi's accuses. She had already told her close guy friends to cut off all forms of skinship and they were understanding. They were good friends who respected Chorong's relationship with the deliquient.

"I saw you talking with Changsub in the canteen today!"

"We were just talking like normal!"

"Like what?!"

"I was just going to ask him what he was going to buy and apparently, we each wanted to buy the same thing so we queued up together."

"You didn't do that with me!"

"Because you and I have different food tastes!" The girl argued.

"E-Even so, you can't just get close and chummy with those guys!" Bomi pouted.

"Alright. I won't do that again." sighed Chorong. She thought it was cute of Bomi to act jealous but things were getting out of hand. She was losing her freedom to talk to the people she wanted to. But being the kind-hearted girl she was, she obeyed Bomi because she didn't want her to be hurt.

She never liked to hurt others. Especially, her own girlfriend.

Snuggling together in their couch, Namjoo and Hayoung decided to watch a movie at home. With night falling deep, they wanted to make up the lost time they had for each other. Cooking dinner together before settling down at their living room, eating and feeding each other, they were back to being lovebirds, like a world with just the two of them.

All of a sudden, the door bell rung.

"We have a visitor at this hour?" mumbled Hayoung as she stared at the clock confused. It was 8pm.

The moment she opened the door, the girl widened her eyes.

"Bomi unnie? What are you doing here?" The younger girl was surprised to see her unnie here.

"Sorry. I'm just gonna live here for awhile." Bomi said, walking in as she dropped her bag on the floor before crashing into the sofa.

"What happened to you? Did you and Chorong unnie fight or something?" asked Namjoo in worry. She had never seen Bomi like this before, blank and completely zoned out. But, there was no reply from the older girl.

Hayoung and Namjoo looked at each other, eyebrows arched over as they were both as confused.

"You think we should call Chorong unnie and tell her that she's hiding over here?" whispered Hayoung.

"Hey, do you want Bomi unnie to get killed?" Namjoo whispered back.

"Well, either way you know how Chorong unnie gets worried easily. Who knows how concerned she must be right now?"

"Even so, we don't know what happened between them. What if they had a big argument or something?"

Hayoung sighed. "So, we're just gonna let her live here?"

"Let her sort her thoughts out. I'm sure things will fine in a week or so. Bomi unnie is a loyal person, she'll go back to Chorong unnie soon." smiled Namjoo.

"Alright." said Hayoung. Although she didn't really like the idea of Bomi being in their house because that only meant that she couldn't openly touch or kiss her wife, simply because she was just too shy to do so. Namjoo who knew what Hayoung meant and couldn't help but to chuckle.

"Why are you laughing all of a sudden?" asked Hayoung, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Nothing. It's been awhile since I've seen that cute side of you. I guess some things never change." smiled Namjoo while tracing her fingers down her hair.

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"It's okay, you don't need to know." said Namjoo.

Even back in high school, you were so shy to hold hands in public. You're still the same, Hayoung-ah.

"Unnie." said Hayoung heading to Bomi who was laying still in the couch, face covered in their pillows. "Unnie!" The girl repeated before forcing to pull the girl upwards. Instead, she was greeted with Bomi, full in tears. Immediately, Namjoo took a tissue and began to wipe Bomi's tears away while the couple sat down beside her, trying their best to comfort her.

"I'm sorry guys, it's happening all so sudden. You two are probably confused. Heck, I'm confused myself. I don't even know what the is going on with me." sighed Bomi as she sobbed quietly.

"It's okay. Tell us what happened. We want to help you unnie." said Namjoo calmly.

"Yeah so that you can get out of my house." joked Hayoung as she recieved a nudge from her wife. One glare was all that was needed to know it was the wrong timing to do so. "Sorry, I was just joking." apologized Hayoung immediately.

"Thanks, that sure made me feel better." said Bomi with sarcasm. "I ed up that's all. Chorong unnie is probably confused too. I don't even know why I acted like that either." she continued.

The girl explained everything that happened last night. The arrival of their new staff member, Irene, how she was very close and friendly with Chorong and how all of sudden, she got angry and started arguing with Chorong before storming out of the restaurant. Drowning and emptying her wallet at the bar, she was completely wasted before knocking out cold.

"And you decided to run away because you're scared of Chorong unnie after what you did." said Namjoo, getting a gist.

"Um, that too but it isn't the full reason why I'm here." gulped Bomi nervously. "I think there's something wrong with me. I know it's stupid to get jealous but I just don't know why, it's frustrating me." she sighed, almost wanting to pull her hair out.

"At least you're aware of your possessive habits." said Hayoung.

"Of course, Chorong unnie told me several times to fix it. But there hasn't been any signs of improvement either." The girl looked up at her friends. "Do you think....I'm sick?" she asked with confused eyes.

It was then, the door bell rang again.

"Oh wow, we're getting a lot of visitors tonight." said Hayoung as she headed to the door.

But the moment it opened, the younger girl froze for a second. Staring at the lady in front of her, she was now forced to make a decision to either protect Bomi or leave her be as it was Chorong at the entrance.

"Unnie, what are you doing here?" asked Hayoung awkwardly, pretending that Bomi wasn't in her house. She gulped. The glare the older girl was giving was enough to send a sharp chill down her spine.

"Move. I know she's here." sighed Chorong, not wanting to play games with her.

"Um, I don't know what you're talking about."

"Stop lying Hayoung-ah. Don't get on my bad side." The girl glared. All it took was one glance into her eyes and Hayoung suddenly made way out of instinct, out of fear. It had been awhile since she had experience Chorong's wrath. It reminded her about high school days and the girl's terrifying aura as the student council president.

"I'm sorry I couldn't protect you Bomi unnie. You're here on your own now."

Chorong barged through the living room and found her wife, sitting still at the couch while talking to Namjoo. She knew Bomi all too well, like the back of her fingers. It was pretty scary in a way because it just means, Bomi shouldn't be messing around with Chorong.

"Hey. Yoon Bomi." The girl said coldly, without emotion.

"Oh ." the younger girl responded, completely frozen at the sight of her wife, right in front of her eyes.

There was a still air in the apartment room, icy and cold as only a pin-dropping silence filled the empty space. Almost feeling the anger from the older girl, Namjoo dragged Hayoung out and watched the two from afar, in a safe spot at their kitchen counter.

"Say something Bom-ah."  snarled Chorong.

"I have nothing to say to you." Bomi said coldy, avoiding eye contact. But deep inside, she was scared out of her wits. She didn't know how to answer everything that's happening to her wife, because she too is confused at her own behaviour.

"How long are you going to keep acting like a kid? Why are you making a big fuss over such a small matter? I know that you get jealous easily but that's going too far. Shouldn't you have some pity for Irene? She's done nothing wrong at all!"

"It's not about her!" The girl shouted before realising what she has done. "It was never about Irene...." She continued before lowering her voice softly.

There was silence following after that. Chorong stood there, confused. "What?"

"I actually don't know what's wrong with me. I don't know why I get so angry or jealous whenever I see you with other girls or other men. I wanted to tell you but I didn't find the chance yet. I don't think me being jealous at others is a normal thing. I think....I think something's wrong with me unnie.....and I don't want to hurt you anymore......" said Bomi as tears finally formed in her eyes. She had no control over them, the moment she saw her wife in front of her.

"Bom-ah..." Instead of continuing to shout at her with anger, or hit her, the girl reached her arms out wide and pulled Bomi into an embrace.

"Um..unnie do you think we should just leave?" whispered Hayoung feeling awkward in this position.

"Shush. I feel like I'm watching an episode of a drama." whispered Namjoo back to which the younger girl rolled her eyes.

"Bom-ah...can I ask you something?"

"W-What is it?"

"Do you know a girl named Soyou?" she asked.

But Bomi shook her head. "I don't know her. I really don't know her."

"When you were asleep, I heard you mumbling her name. I don't want you to hide things from me, just be straight and honest. Who is this girl?"

"I really don't know her unnie. I don't even know why I mumbled a stranger's name in my sleep." said Bomi as she looked into Chorong's eyes. Her eyes spoke the truth, she was serious. She had completely no idea who Soyou was.

Bomi's words were all the answers Chorong needed.

"Bom-ah, I wasn't the one who brought you home. A man found you on the streets and he said to find him if you needed any help by giving me his namecard." she said while taking out the card from her wallet. "He's a doctor and I think you should make an appointment with him."

"Unnie...do you think I'm sick?" asked Bomi with worry.

"I don't know but perhaps, he will give us that answer."

"Alright. I'll do it." agreed Bomi after a moment of hesitation. She wanted this to end, she was sick and tired of suddenly having these feelings of jealousy blind her path. She didn't want to hurt her wife anymore, or anyone else.

"So are you guys done with your lover's argument?" asked Hayoung as she stared at the two, crossing her arms.

"Hayoung-ah!" whispered Namjoo while nudging her wife.

"A-Ah...sorry Hayoung-ah. We'll leave now." said Chorong, finally grasping a realisation of where she was. Taking Bomi's hand along, the couple got out of their home and greeted their farewells.

"Thanks. That was a great drama episode there unnies." joked Namjoo as she leaned against the door with Hayoung hugging her from behind.

"I guess I'll need to change my house into a filming studio now. When are the two of you filming episode two?" Hayoung said, joining in the fun.

"Shut up." sighed Chorong while Bomi laughed.

Luckily, it didn't turn out as messy as the couple thought it would. Perhaps, it was because Chorong was a calm, collected woman who was experienced in dealing with Bomi. She wasn't a person who swayed easily by arguments and was rational.

That's probably the best part about her.

It was all the reasons why Bomi fell in love with her, because she loved mature, older woman.

With a brand new day ahead as the sun shone brightly, Eunji and Naeun stood right outside the Son Corporations building, holding their hands together. Looking up at the intimidating office block that represented it's aura and pride of over 50 years in the business industry, it was obviously a bad idea to mess around with the company itself.

Eunji gulped as she was trying to mentally prepared herself.

"Unnie, it's okay. You have me, the Son's daughter. My dad can't possibly hurt you when I'm around." said Naeun, trying to calm her down with a gentle smile.

"Ah, everytime you look at me like that, makes my heart flutter." said Eunji shyly as she reached her hand to pinch Naeun's swollen cheek from last night. "Let's go." she said as the two entered the building and immediately, they recieved the attention of everyone at the lobby.

"Crap, everyone's staring at us Naeun-ah." whispered Eunji.

"I guess the news got out already. Taemin oppa really is mad and wants revenge quick." she whispered back.

Walking up to the counter, Eunji was about to open but to her surprise, Naeun took the lead.

"Hi. My father's in office today right? Can you send him a message that his daughter is coming in? Thank you." said Naeun to the receptionist before casually pulling Eunji into the personal lift that only lead to the CEO's floor, nowhere else.

The older girl had never seen this side of Naeun before. Since when did she become so brave? She was never like this in high school, never in college and never during their 6 years of marriage. Was it because their love might be at risk? Was it because she was afraid of losing her again?

Eunji smiled. For some reason, she was able to feel braver and stronger.

"If the shy Naeun that I know is acting like this, I should be bolder, for her. It makes me want to protect her more."

"Are you ready unnie?" asked Naeun as the two stood in front of the large door, with a golden sign printed with bold, large words "CEO'S ROOM"

"It's time for war Naeun-ah." smiled Eunji as she tightened the grip in their hands, took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

Chapter 20: Finally I'm done reading this master piece! I dunno What to say... It was roller coaster ride full of emotions! There are parts you read while grinning while others you read and want to scream your feelings out... I know I'm late, but I don't regret reading this. I'm done finally.
Thanks dear for this amazing peace of fiction? And don't mind the characters, every role needs to be played by an idol and not all roles are good so hahhaha...
But one thing is for sure, you chose the right ones to represent their respective roles. I mean, Taemin will look really hot playing the bad rich boy role right?
Anyway, Take care dear amd all the best with your college??
