youth part 2

Maturity

"What? A Romeo & Juliet skit for the upcoming high school festival?!" said Namjoo with wide open.

"Yes. Actually, it's a special collaboration between the student council, dance club and drama club." replied Seulgi.

"A-And you want me to be the main lead?"

Seulgi nodded as she patted the younger girl's shoulder. "I've seen the hidden acting talent in you and I want you to try it out Namjoo-ya."

"I'll be looking forward to working with you, Namjoo-ssi." smiled Chorong as she reached out her hand.

"O-Oh...yeah sure..." said Namjoo in agreement, shaking Chorong's hand as she was still quite dazed. Her thoughts were still focused on preparing for the dance festival but all of a sudden, she was given the opportunity to become the main actress for a skit.

"Actually, there's four more slots for the main leads but don't worry, it will be the student council's job to scout for more people." explained Chorong.

"That's all for now. Make us proud as a dance club representative, Namjoo-ya." smiled Seulgi.

Returning back to the waiting room, Namjoo was worried, clouded in thoughts. As she raised her head up, she was surprised to see the high school's beauty Son Naeun talking with her dance partner, Hayoung. Not only that, the prescene of the two delinquents Bomi and Eunji were around as well.

"Um...Hayoung-ah, are these your friends?" asked Namjoo with a whisper.

"Naeun unnie is my friend but I don't know these two." whispered Hayoung before continuing to talk to Naeun. The two were clearly engrossed into a topic, making Namjoo feeling slightly left out. Eunji stayed quiet, watching her girlfriend at the side as she had never seen the usually, timid and cold Naeun smiling so brightly. That's when she had a brilliant idea.

"I'm going to get close with Hayoung to get more information about Naeun. I'm sure she knows all her secrets."

Once the delinquent had made a decision, there was no stopping her.

All of a sudden, there was a loud, painful shout from Bomi.

"Yoon Bomi, I thought I lost you! Come on, I have more work to give you." scolded Chorong as she pinched and pulled Bomi's ear, dragging her out of the waiting room.

"Hey, that was the scary student council president right? Park....Chorong...unnie?" asked Hayoung with wavering eyes, clearly having a fearful first impression of her.

"Well, that's probably why we shouldn't be messing with the school president. Come on Naeun-ah, I think it's time to leave. Your friend needs time to prepare." said Eunji as she walked up to Naeun and held her hands. "Looks like we'll be seeing each other often, Miss Hayoung." she smiled at the girl before leaving.

As the couple settled back at the seating area, Eunji couldn't help but to feel slightly distracted after watching Naeun's new image.

"Naeun-ah."

"Yes unnie?"

"You seem....pretty close with Hayoung.."

"Of course, she's like my younger sister."

"I see....." It was then Naeun giggled.

"W-What?" asked Eunji.

"Are you jealous?"

"M-maybe." stuttered Eunji as she moved her eyes away for a moment, before breaking into a nervous laughter. "Have you ever had romantic feelings for her once?" she asked.

"Like I said, Hayoung's like a younger sister to me. It would feel weird if I fell in love with her."

"Then, do you love me?" Eunji asked boldly, immediately seeing the sudden flush of red across her girlfriend's face.

"Mm..." nodded Naeun awkwardly. Maybe, she was too shy to express herself yet or it was just too early in their relationship to confirm her feelings.

"It's alright." smiled Eunji as she traced her fingers down Naeun's hair. "I'll work very hard so that I can hear those special three words from you one day."

Soon, it was time for the dance festival. Starting the opening ceremony with a group dance performance, accompained by the gymnastics team which showcased their flexibility in the form of dance, group song covers and solo performance, it was almost time for the duo performances.

Standing backstage, both Namjoo and Hayoung were waiting for their turn. For Namjoo, she had her own methods to keep calm because she was used to dancing in front of a crowd but for the younger girl, she was in a little bit of trouble. She was so nervous where she was scared her heart might just burst open, cold sweat dripping down her neck as her hands trembled, it was the worst case of stage fright.

"Unnie. I don't think I can do it. I don't think I can." said Hayoung, speaking in a very fast tone.

"Hayoung-ah, calm down. It's your first time. It's going to be okay." said Namjoo holding onto the girl's hand.

"No. I can't do it unnie. I'm sorry. I think I have to chicken out. I really can't."

"Hayoung-ah. Listen to me!" said Namjoo as she suddenly grabbed the girl's cheeks, pulled it closer as she stared straight into her eyes. "You can do it. You have me." the girl said. For one moment, Hayoung looked at her. It was strange. Just hearing her voice, her touch on her cheeks and her eyes, it somehow comforted her uneasy heart.

"Alright, Team 4! Get ready to head on stage now!" said one of the staff.

"Come on!" said Namjoo not letting go of Hayoung's hand as the two stepped on stage, standing in front of the closed curtains.

"Unnie...." said Hayoung as she looked at her.

"If you're scared, then just look at me. Look only at me Hayoung-ah, got it?" said Namjoo.

"O-Okay..."

Within the countdown of five seconds, the curtains dropped down and the duo's performance began. As they danced exactly how they had practiced together, there were no mistakes. Hayoung trusted in Namjoo and followed her words. Among the crowd, Eunji and Naeun watched the performance quietly while Chorong and Bomi watched them backstage.

It was strange.

No one would've known that these six girls would eventually become best friends who would walk on the road of life together. The strings of fate were getting closer than you'd think.

After the dance festival, Namjoo and Hayoung decided to remain as friends. During break hours, the younger girl would often head over to Namjoo's classroom to chill around, since it was too lonely to hide and play video games by herself in the school's storeroom. Eunji on the other hand would juggle between winning her girlfriend's heart by taking her on secret dates around the school compound and occasionally bumping into Hayoung along the corridor, exchanging information about Naeun's likes and dislikes where in return, Eunji gifted Hayoung with a bunch of video games and stuffed toys. She had no idea that Hayoung had such a liking for stuffed toys, including her favourite cartoon, Pororo. Sometimes, Eunji wondered if she was really a high schooler or a middle schooler. Either way, it was cute to see this side of her and somehow understood why Naeun would treat Hayoung as a younger sister. She too, wanted to treat and take care of Hayoung in that manner.

Chorong on the other hand, had herself full with tons of projects organized by various clubs. As the student council president, it was her job to review each and every single activity, verifying that they are safe and appropritate to conduct. The student council office was now, Bomi's second home. Every break, she would come over to visit and pester her girlfriend. Even the student council members wondered if Chorong and Bomi's relationship was really a romantic one or simply, a master and dog. No one really knows.

"Unnieeeeeee" said Bomi in a draggy tone, laying comfortably on the student council office's couch, legs stretched across as she tapped her fingers along the sofa leathers.

"What?" asked Chorong coldy, as if she was used to answering her girlfriend.

"I'm boredddddd"

"Well, can't you do something productive like studying for example?" The girl sighed.

"But it's boring to study. I get really sleepy." Bomi pouted.

"Then, how about you help me with some work?"

"If it's something to do with writing, science or mathematics, I'm not doing it."

"It's not."

"Oh, really? What do you need help with unnie?" asked Bomi as she sat up.

"You sound surprisingly motivated." said Chorong in a suspicious tone.

"What do you need help with?" smirked Bomi mischieviously.

"I still haven't found suitable candidates for the upcoming Romeo Juliet skit. I need four more people but no one seems to sign up. I think they're all too shy to take lead roles. How about you walk around the school and find four people who are interested in joining?"

"Okay. But on one condition." Bomi smiled cheekily.

"What now?" sighed Chorong. She knew it would be like this. Everytime she asked Bomi to do something for her, it was always at a price of something she wanted. Because it was Bomi, it was always different. From wanting a hug, to taking her on a fast food restaurant date to helping her out with homework, it varied differently on a daily basis. Almost, like a surprise box because you won't know what's going to come next. She was slightly nervous and worried for what her girlfriend wanted this time.

"In return, I want a kiss."

"Again?"

"Not the one on the cheek. Not the one on the forehead."

Chorong gulped.

"This time, let's have one on the lips. Our first one on the lips." grinned Bomi, knowing that her wish would be fulfied anyway.

"N-N-Now?" stuttered the older girl nervously.

"No, not now. When I ask for it. It could be anywhere. I could suddenly ask you to kiss me in the middle of the corridor." she teased.

"If you do that, I'm going to throw this chair at you right now." scowled Chorong.

"I'm just joking! I'll ask for a kiss when we're alone. Like maybe after school. Deal?" laughed Bomi.

Chorong could only sigh. She had no other choice. Honestly, Bomi was a good helper. She was obedient and did everything she was told, at the price of her strange requests.

"F-fine." said Chorong reluctantly agreeing.

"Alright! Yoon Bomi here shall complete the task and find four members for you! Be right back unnie!" smiled Bomi as she got up and left the office like the wind.

"She's really making me go crazy." mumbled Chorong to herself as she returned to her desk.

Back at Namjoo's classroom, the girl was deep in thought while Hayoung randomly scribbling something on her notepad. The younger girl had recently stopped bringing her gaming laptop to school and instead, spent a lot of time with her former dance partner.

"What are you thinking about unnie?" asked Hayoung as her hands were still drawing something. It was a character from Pokemon.

Honestly, Namjoo was aware that the student council hasn't been able to get members for the Romeo & Juliet skit. She had seen banners and posters all over the school but no one seemed to take interest in it. It was probably because everyone was shy at the thought of acting. After all, this school was not an arts school, it was just a normal high school. Yet, she wondered if Hayoung would be willing to join her. Since Hayoung practically does nothing besides gaming.

"Actually Hayoung-ah, do you remember seeing those Romeo & Juliet posters in the hallway?"

"Yeah, they're finding students who are interested to act right?"

"I'm one of them."

"Unnie, you're going to act?" said Hayoung as she raised her head, eyes wide open.

"Y-Yeah. My dance president said I should try it out."

"I see. Unnie will do well, I'm sure of it."

"The thing is....we haven't been able to find anyone else. We need four more people you see..."

"And you were thinking of asking if I could join?" asked Hayoung, catching fast.

"Yeah but it's okay if you don't want to-"

"I don't mind." said Hayoung, cooly agreeing to it.

"Huh? Are you sure Hayoung-ah?" said Namjoo surprised.

"Mm. I mean, you're going to be busy when you start practicing that means I have no one to hang out with. So I might as well join and be with you."

"But don't you have Naeun unnie?"

"I like being around with you more." smiled Hayoung.

For a moment, Namjoo's heart fluttered at the younger girl's words. What was this feeling?

"T-Thank you Hayoung-ah." stuttered Namjoo, slightly dazed by the sudden beat of her heart.

"No problem unnie." said the younger girl cooly, not noticing Namjoo's nervous behaviour as she was too focused on completing her little scribble.

Under the blue skies, a couple settled comfortably on top of the school's rooftop, a secret haven with just the two of them alone. It was a perfect dating location, as suggested by Eunji who secretly stole the keys from the teachers room earlier just to have a quiet, peaceful moment with her girlfriend. It had been around one month since the two started dating and so far, it seemed to be working out well. Whenever the boys would come over and pester Naeun, Eunji always came to the rescue, jumping from all sorts of places. People sometimes thought if Eunji was a monkey in her previous life or even a tiger because she could be pretty fierce too.

"I like this place unnie." said Naeun as she started cloud-gazing.

"I knew it would be perfect for you." smiled Eunji. "Thanks to Hayoung who told me everything about what you like. That girl is amazing for exposing every single secret about you."

With Eunji sitting on the floor and Naeun's head at the corner of her lap, it seemed like a usual position the two would always snuggle in. The older girl who would occasionally ruffle her girlfriend's hair and Naeun who would just stare blankly at the blue sky, no words were needed to describe the simple moments they had together. Eunji couldn't help but to stare at her gentle, soft lips. It seemed so delicate and near within her reach. Eunji gulped, at the thought of kissing Naeun's lips.

All of sudden, the door slammed opened.

"Who the is disturbing our moment?" cursed Eunji in her head as she looked at who it was. She was ready to fight if it was going to be a teacher that caught them or a group of high school boys that found their hiding spot. But instead, it was just Eunji's best friend.

"HEYYYYYYYYYYYYY~~~~~~~" smiled Bomi brightly as she waved with much energy.

"Gosh, what on earth is that idiot doing here?" sighed Eunji. She almost wanted to smack her for ruining the moment.

"Hello Bomi unnie." said Naeun welcoming the girl warmly. Ever since Eunji introduced her to Bomi, she liked the girl's funny, unpredictable character. "What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Bomi-ya, get lost." said Eunji with a straight face.

"Aww don't be like that. You're always spending so much time with Naeun, you don't even have time for me anymore." pouted Bomi to which Naeun giggled, finding Bomi's face funny.

"What do you want?" sighed Eunji.

"You see~ there's this Romeo and Juliet skit and we're looking for people to join so I was thinking-"

"No. Screw that. I'm not joining. Okay, get lost." said Eunji, immediately rejecting the offer as she pushed Bomi away.

"I would." said Naeun.

"N-Naeun-ah? W-What?" said Eunji, flustered.

"WOW REALLY NAEUN-AH OH MY GOD YOU'RE A LIFESAVE-" before Bomi could even continue, Eunji quickly stood up and covered .

"You idiot! The teachers might hear us!" scowled Eunji.

"A-Ah, right." laughed Bomi nervously. "Are you serious about it Naeun-ah? Are you sure about joining the Romeo & Juliet skit team?"

"Mm. I thought it would be fun since we only have high school once in our life. Shouldn't we take all the chances we can?" said Naeun with a smile as she looked at her girlfriend who obviously wasn't keen in joining. "It's okay if you don't want to join Eunji unnie. I can do it myself."

"No! I'm going with you. I can't leave you alone, what if those guys come pestering you again?" frowned Eunji. "I-I'm joining too Bom-ah." said the girl with much hesitation.

"Gosh, I can't tell whether you're Naeun's girlfriend or just her bodyguard." mumbled Bomi before receiving a whooping kick from her friend.

"Hey! That ing hurts!" shouted Bomi while Eunji showed her tongue to her, as Naeun giggled watching the same-aged friends bicker as they always did.

And it was decided.

With the news of Eunji, Naeun and Hayoung joining the team, there was one member left to complete. As they arranged for a meeting after school at the student council office, the girls gathered one by one. Eunji and Hayoung tensed up, nervous at the thought of meeting the fierce student council president Park Chorong while Naeun and Namjoo remained calm.

"Thank you everyone for deciding to sign up for the Romeo & Juliet skit. Your help is very much appreciated. I'm Park Chorong, your leader and organiser for this whole event." greeted Chorong with a bow.

"But unnie, we still haven't found the last member. We've only got three new members."

"Silly. The fourth member is you." said Chorong with a straight face.

"Huh? Me?"

"Mm." nodded the older girl.

"WHAT?!"

Thanks to Bomi, laughter broke in between the somewhat tense atmosphere between the first meeting of the six girls. Although at first, it was somewhat easy to coordinate as the girls listened quietly to the president. But along the way, they realised that Chorong had her own soft side as well and it didn't take long for the delinquents to lower their shield, fooling around with the older girl and mocking her age, calling her a grandma.

The girls met up every day after school, holding meetings, discussions while occasionally playing around, chatting casually like what normal high schools would do. They had never imagined that the six of them clicked so easily and soon, became very close friends. While preparing for the upcoming high school festival, these were the fun, little memories of their youth they cherished a lot.

"Namjoo-ya, Hayoung-ah, can you help to put these things back into the storeroom?" asked Chorong, noticing that the noisy duo, Bomi and Eunji were knocked out and fast asleep after cracking their brains and Naeun who disappeared after taking a trip to the toilet.

"Alright. Hayoung-ah, let's go." said Namjoo as she nudged Hayoung who was fiddling with her handphone.

"A-Ah, okay!" said the younger girl immediately hiding her phone back into her pocket.

"I saw that." said Chorong with a straight expression.

"Just let me off just this once unnie..." begged Hayoung.

Chorong sighed as she walked up to Hayoung and confiscated her phone before shooing the two off to their jobs.

The two girls went to the first floor of the high school. It's already evening and it's empty, without anyone around. As they opened the door, Hayoung coughed at the sudden burst of dust piling in the room.

"Are you okay?" laughed Namjoo as she headed in first while Hayoung followed. As they carefully put the things back into place, there was suddenly a thud of the door closing. The two looked at each other confused. No way.

Rushing back to the closed door, it couldn't be opened.

"! Hello! Anyone out there?!" shouted Hayoung as she banged against the door.

"The security guard must've passed by and thought it was left opened so he just locked it without even knowing that we were in here." sighed Namjoo.

"If Chorong unnie didn't confiscate my phone, we could've called the unnies." mumbled Hayoung.

"It's okay. They'll soon realise that we're missing and find us. For now, let's just make use of this time and rest." said Namjoo calmly as she sat down in a corner. Hayoung followed along as the two sat side by side. Silence continued as the girls sat down quietly, without much of a conversation. In actuality, they felt their hearts beating like crazy. All alone together in a locked room, wild thoughts were running through Namjoo's head.

"This is driving me crazy." The older girl thought, hoping that the unnies would find them soon.

"Unnie."

"Yes Hayoung-ah?"

"Chorong unnie is dating Bomi unnie and Eunji unnie is dating Naeun unnie."

"Yup. What about them?"

"Aren't you dating anyone?" The girl asked innocently.

"W-W-What do you mean?! I-I don't have time to date people I mean- the boys in class are all just brats. They're completely uncharming." stuttered Namjoo as her thoughts ran wild again. It was driving her mad. She was so close to Hayoung and sudden images of her kissing Hayoung's lips were just disturbing her. But Hayoung on the other hand, never had any of these thoughts. She was just, too innocent to be thinking such absurb things. The only thing on her mind was whether she was able to reach home in time to catch the latest episode of Pororo.

"I think it's okay for girls to like girls too. You don't always have to look for a man in the future unnie."

"Why? Are you giving me permission to date?" asked Namjoo with a laugh.

"What do you mean unnie? Namjoo unnie should date whoever she likes, whether it's a guy or a girl, I'll support your relationship." Hayoung smiled. "I'm your friend after all."

"Hayoung-ah." said Namjoo as she looked at the girl. She figured that this was her only chance, it was now or never.

"Hm?"

"You said that I should date whoever I want, right?"

"Mm." nodded Hayoung, having not a single clue.

"I want to date you."

For a moment, Hayoung stared at Namjoo blankly, as if trying to process what she was trying to say.

"Huh?" was all the words the younger girl could say. She was confused, eyebrows arched above. This caused Namjoo to laugh out loud.

"Aigoo Hayoung-ah, you're so innocent it's so adorable, you make go crazy I swear." smiled Namjoo as she touched Hayoung's cheek. "I'm asking you to become my girlfriend."

"M-Me? Your girlfriend?"

"That's right." nodded Namjoo. "Will you?"

"W-What does a girlfriend do?"

"I'll teach you. All you have to do is follow my lead." said Namjoo as she held the younger girl's hand.

"Oh! Is this like upgrading our relationship into another level? Like you know gaining experience points in those games?" said Hayoung.

"What are you talking about?" laughed Namjoo.

"If being your girlfriend means leveling up our relationship, then I'll be your girlfriend. After all, I like you a bit better than Naeun unnie." smiled Hayoung, innocently as if not actually getting the full meaning behind Namjoo's confession. "But wait, Naeun unnie told me that if someone becomes your girlfriend, it means that you're in love....wait.....eh? Does that mean Namjoo unnie is in love with me and I'm in love with you?" The girl was clearly confused.

This simply caused Namjoo to break into an uncontrollable laughter. Hayoung was just too precious.

But that was all the answers Namjoo needed. With a laugh, she was somehow relieved that her love confession got through. Slowly, step by step, Namjoo promised to teach Hayoung how to be a good girlfriend and how, to fall in love.

Ever since that day, it didn't take long for Namjoo to announce her relationship with Hayoung and soon received an embarrasing tease from the unnies. Hayoung on the other hand, didn't really understand the jokes behind it but either way, she worked hard to learn about love.

"Unnies, what are you guys watching?" asked Hayoung as she entered the student council office as usual, only to see Eunji, Bomi and Namjoo crowding in a corner, sharing headphones and watched something on a phone while Chorong and Naeun were missing in action.

"O-Oh! Hayoung-ah! You're here early!" stuttered Eunji as she suddenly hid the phone.

"Teacher let us out early. What are you guys watching? Is it something funny?" asked Hayoung as she walked nearer.

"It's not for kids like you! You can't watch it Hayoung-ah!" said Bomi with a nervous tone, pushing the girl back.

"What do you mean? I'm not a kid, unnie." frowned the younger girl confused.

"No, no, we can't let you watch it Hayoung-ah. We need to keep the innocence in you." said Namjoo.

"Namjoo's right! Maybe we'll show you one day when you're old enough!" said Eunji awkwardly.

"I said that I'm old enough. Give me the-"

Suddenly the door slid open with a thud. It was the scary, Park Chorong as she glared at the three girls with a scary aura behind her.

"Oh ." said Eunji, fear crawling into her eyes.

"I can't believe you guys. Hand that phone over right now." said Chorong with a sigh as she walked towards the three, frightened girls.

"S-Sorry Miss Boss..." gulped Bomi as she quickly nudged Eunji to bring out the phone in her pocket.

"Chorong unnie, what did they do wrong? They were just watching a video and they didn't let me watch it either." said Hayoung confused.

"Hayoung-ah, they were watching . It's not for you." sighed Chorong as she went out to take care of the infested phone.

"? What's that?" asked the younger girl confused.

The three girls laughed upon hearing Hayoung's statement.

"Namjoo-ya, you better keep Hayoung's innocence safely as it is now. I can't imagine what happens when she grows up into terrible adults like us." whispered Eunji with snicker.

"If she becomes like us, I'm blaming you." teased Bomi.

"Don't worry, she'll probably get really shy when she finds out what even is." giggled Namjoo.

As the six girls were always together, doing all sorts of prepartions. Within a blink of an eye, it was the fated high school festival day. Although nervous, their hardwork paid off as the performance was completely successfully with the attendence of around 200 students and 50 teachers who were satisfied with the skit. But even after the high school festival, the girls stuck each other closer than ever, like glue.

"Unnieeeeeeeeee~" said Bomi, dragging her words as she was pestering her girlfriend again, at the student council office. It was her daily thing to do after school.

"Bomi, I'm studying. I have finals coming soon. Please keep quiet" said Chorong coldly as she was writing something.

"You promised me something and you still haven't given me that yet." Bomi pouted.

"And what is that?"

"A kiss on the lips."

In that moment, Chorong stopped writing and stayed frozen. She had been avoiding it ever since the completion of the Romeo & Juliet skit. Although she did admit that in their almost 8-months of dating, they haven't gone far as to kissing on the lips. The most they did were snuggles or kisses on the foreheads and were all initiated by Bomi, rarely by the girl herself.

"I think it's time for you to grant my wish." said Bomi as she sat up, walked towards her girlfriend, hands on the desk as she leaned forward and stared at Chorong with a cheeky smile.

"B-But Bom-ah..."

"If you can't do it, I'll do it. All you have to do is stay still." said Bomi as her gaze changed. "Close your eyes."

Although Chorong always ordered Bomi around, it was the other way round today. The older girl gulped, listened to her words as she raised her head and closed her eyes. Her heart was beating like crazy.

Carefully, Bomi gently cupped Chorong's cheeks in between her palms and slowly lifted it towards her face, before reaching for her lips. She noticed that the lips of her girlfriend's were shaking. She knew that she would be nervous, but she too, felt the same way. The moment their lips touched, Chorong flinched but Bomi held her back, wanting to savour their first kiss, a little longer. Wanting to deepen their kiss, Chorong suddenly pulled out at that very moment, her face completely red.

"Unnie...." said Bomi as she looked at her girlfriend.

"I-I'm sorry Bom-ah..."

"It's okay. It's your first so you probably feel uncomfortable." said Bomi with a smile. "From now on, let's try and kiss more often." she grinned.

Eating lunch together, hanging out in classrooms, supporting each other during the annual sports festival and studying together when finals were near, the strings of fate really brought these six girls together.

It was a rainy day as the couple were getting ready to leave school, after hanging around in the library.

"I'll walk you home." said Eunji as her left arm held an umbrella while her other arm was over her girlfriend's.

"Are you sure unnie? My house is 15 minutes away."

"I don't mind because I have you with me." smiled Eunji.

"Mm, let's go before it gets late." nodded Naeun.

The couple continued to walk upwards an empty path, leading into a quiet neighbourhood.

"I can't believe time is moving so fast. It's strange how we've already been dating for almost one year already."

"A lot of things can happen in one year."

"Chorong unnie is going to graduate soon, Bomi is going to feel so sad with her gone. And then, next year, the two of us will graduate leaving you, Namjoo and Hayoung behind."

"Life just continues like that unnie. Once we graduate, we'll enter college and then start working and then-"

"We get married." said Eunji, interrupting in between.

Naeun looked at her with wide eyes.

"I'm just joking. That's too fast. Heck, we haven't even kissed yet." laughed Eunji.

Upon hearing Eunji's words, Naeun suddenly leaned forward and gently pecked her lips, leaving the older girl rather flustered. Naeun smiled with a quiet giggle as they continued walking.

"Hey, did you just steal my first kiss?" asked Eunji with a speechless laugh.

"I guess so~"

"That's not fair Naeun-ah. The unnie should take the lead first."

"Well, I was faster."

"I don't care, I haven't had my chances yet. Here I come, Naeun-ah" said Eunji with a smirk as she proceeded to place her lips onto Naeun's. The younger girl then wrapped her arms around Eunji's neck as they deepened the kiss. Swirling their tongues as they only had each other in that empty space, under an umbrella as rain continued to pour over. Their first kiss, that never seemed like it was their first. A kiss that seemed like they had kissed so many times, a kiss that seemed to express their never-ending love for each other.

While having private moments with their girlfriends and also having outings as a whole together, they wished their high school life didn't end so quickly. Just meeting each other everyday, was happiness itself. But eventually, all things have to come to an end. Soon, one year had passed and it was the day of Chorong's high school graduation ceremony.

"Congratulations unnie on your graduation!" said all five girls in unison as they greeted the now, former student council president with a bouquet of flowers.

"Thank you guys!" said Chorong as she struggled carrying five bouquets of flowers in her hands.

"What am I going to do with you gone unnie..?" mumbled Bomi with a sad pout.

"You have to study obviously. You're going to be a third-year senior. now I think it's time for you to start thinking about your future." advised Chorong.

"I guess I should start getting serious huh, no more time to joke around eh?" sighed Eunji.

"I still have plenty of years ahead anyway." said Hayoung with a smile.

"But even when Chorong unnie goes to college, we'll still be able to meet right?" asked Namjoo.

"Of course! We'll be together even when all six of us are finally in college, even when we start working or get married, we'll be friends for a long time!" said Chorong with a smile.

"I wonder who's going to get married first?" sneered Eunji, taking a glance at Chorong.

"Wouldn't you and Bomi unnie get married first?" asked Naeun with a laugh.

"Please, I bet you and Hayoung are going to get married first!" said Bomi.

As the girls began bickering over their future that seemed so bright and shining, they had no idea what was ready ahead, a path full of all sorts of struggles that strengthened their bonds. But everyone has to grow up eventually, its all part of maturity.

"Sometimes I wished that we didn't grow up so fast."

Chapter 20: Finally I'm done reading this master piece! I dunno What to say... It was roller coaster ride full of emotions! There are parts you read while grinning while others you read and want to scream your feelings out... I know I'm late, but I don't regret reading this. I'm done finally.
Thanks dear for this amazing peace of fiction? And don't mind the characters, every role needs to be played by an idol and not all roles are good so hahhaha...
But one thing is for sure, you chose the right ones to represent their respective roles. I mean, Taemin will look really hot playing the bad rich boy role right?
Anyway, Take care dear amd all the best with your college??
