Author's POV
As soon as the door was closed in Jungkook's face, he turned and ran, allowing his tears to run freely down his face and allowing the people on the streets of Nokbun-dong to stare at him from every direction. Temporarily, all the memories and problems seemed to blow away with his tears as he ran but deep inside, he felt the heavy load of sorrow weigh him down. In the corner of his eye, he spotted Jimin thanking a taxi driver and walking towards Ara's apartment building. 'He's the one who deserves her,' Jungkook whispered to himself as he failed to continue running but, instead, found himself steadily jogging back to Ara. 'I don't deserve her.'
In the loud and crowded atmosphere of the Octagon Night Club, Jungkook's pink, alcohol-lit cheeks were warm to Ara's fingers. 'I need the toilet,' Ara half shouted, half spoke into Jungkook's ear. Brightly clothed bodies knocked and shifted against each other as colourful lights danced over the people. Jungkook turned back to his friends who were equally as drunk as he was. 'Ara,' he whispered as he leaned into the small body of one of Ara's friends. He wrapped his arms around her waist and rested her head on his shoulder.
