kiss
Short Fiction for Dahyun
We’re still us, but we’re not.
We’re shattered fragments of love.
We’re bits and pieces of you and I littered across the ground.
We’re empty promises and forgotten keepsakes once embellished in gold.
We’re everything but, in love.
She walks passed her, and quickly presses a kiss to her hair. It’s sweet, it’s abrupt and it’s lingering of everything they once shared. Dahyun turns to catch her eyes, but she’s already gone. Sana’s steps away too far, and Dahyun's left to force a smile to mask the inner chaos. The unsettled resentment surges, the one too many mistakes crowd in, but she’s left numb. It was all an act she reminds herself, but secretly she questions the integrity of Sana’s actions. Maybe, just maybe it was something more.
AN: A drabble, as a filler. I'm quite busy with life commitments at the moment. Once my workload eases, I will resume with frequent updates as promised.
