Train ?
Just A DreamI haven’t yet decided whether or not I wanted to live with Mai and her family. But I’ve been going there every day. I don’t feel as lonesome when I’m over there. Who knows maybe it’s not such a bad idea to move in. Mai Lee’s family listens to my troubles, I get fed home cooked meals that I don’t have to make, and I don’t have to walk home from school in the cold anymore. Moving in with them seems like the right thing to do right? So what’s holding me back?
~My POV~
“Awe, Kikwang is soo cute!” I squealed.
“I know! And who wears lip gloss to sleep?” Mai laughed.
“I love B2st, they are so funny, cute, and amazing.”
“Yeah, I actually know
“Mai, Mhm mm.” Brady cut her off as he shook his head.
“What do you know?” I asked suspiciously.
“Um, I know that they are having auditions for back up dancers for their new MV.” She replied.
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“And since you’re a dancer I thought you’d like to train?”
“Train?”
“Yeah, Brian and Dustin have a dance studio they go to daily. You can join them.”
“That sounds great but, we live in New York. I don’t have the money to go to Seoul yet.”
“My family and I will pay half for your ticket.”
“No, no Mai Lee I couldn’t.” I objected.
“Come on. This could be a great opportunity for you.” She urged.
“Yeah and you have a great voice too.” Brady added.
“Huh? You’ve never heard me sing.”
“Actually, I was going through your phone and came across you singing ‘Do You Remember’ you don’t sound bad. Your better than most people and someone I know.”
“Oh, well thank you. I just wanted to see how I sounded and how other people hear me. I never actually realized how high and soft my voice is.”
“It goes well with you though.” Brady assured me.
“But I’m not sure how that applies.” I said.
“Well, you could become a great kpop idol someday.” He told me.
“Yeah, I don’t think so. I mean I’ve always dreamed, but it just seems like a lot.”
“Why? You have the potential and talent. And you’re like the sweetest person I’ve ever met. You can do it; you just have to believe in yourself just like all of us do.” Mai Lee tells me.
“But I . . . I.” I stammered and couldn’t think of an excuse. I’ve always wanted to become a great kpop idol; I just always thought I was never good enough. But now I don’t know what to think.
“But what? You can do it. And you’ll always have us to support you.” Mai Lee reassured me.
“Hey we’re going to the studio. See you guys later. Annyeong!” Brian said as he ran downstairs with his paternal twin. Mai looked at me and I know what she was thinking.
“Yah! Wait, take Sunny with you! She needs some training.”
Brian and Dustin looked at each other.
“You dance?” Dustin asked me.
I nodded.
“Alright then let’s go!”
I looked back and Brady and Mai smiled at me while I went out the door.
