"Baby don't put this into your mouth okay?" Haseul putted back a deer figurine, her birthday gift to Kahei during their fourth Anniversary. "You know how your mama doesn't like it when you touch those, and," She picked up the five year old Yeojin and pecks her baby's forehead. "Umma doesn't want you to get sick because of eating something dirty, okay?" They heard footsteps coming downstairs. Yeojin mumbled a, "Okay umma," Wong Kahei appeared at their living room, well her now living room. "Here's your stuff baby," She gave Yeojin a quick kiss. Same place where her ex wife did. Haseul grabbed their child's bag, "I'll drop her off next Sunday." Kahei nodded, Yeojin started to play with her umma's colar, used to hear this tiring conversation.  

Haseul and Kahei never hid a thing to their child. When Yeojin asks they answered. Truthfully no matter how difficult it is for her to understand and for her parents to see their one and only child burst into tears finally understanding it all. One time when Yeojin answered her classmate's question, why are two different people always picks her up then drops her off to school, all it takes is one harmful tease, "You don't have a real home!" Her classmate said, not understanding the part where Yeojin will always feel at home as long as she is with her Moms. Even if it means seing them every other week. The little boy only understood the part where Yeojin goes to different house every other week and have no permanent bedroom. On that day Haseul and Kahei picked up Yeojin, the school principal warning their child about punching their classmate will not be tolerated in their school and she'll only give Yeojin a fair warning. Although Yeojin is contemplating whether to punch someone again only if it means both of her Moms will pick her up. Not minding their sermon on the way home.

"Baby? Baby," Her Mama rubs her little shoulder finally getting her attention. "Call me good night okay?" Kahei pressed a kiss to Yeojin's head, not minding how her heart skipped a beat when she smelled Haseul wearing her gifted perfume. She still uses it.

Kahei waited outside until Haseul's car is out of sight. 

Later that night after Haseul gave Yeojin her bedtime story, her good night kiss, then closed the door not all the way because just like her Mama, Yeojin doesn't like it when it's fully closed, the tiny bean hurriedly but quietly which is quite impossible for her, grabbed her school utensils. It's already 2:00 am when she finished her school homework. Now, Yeojin is a very good student, multiple of stars stamped across her arms will prove that to you. But this particular homework she decided to do all by herself, not telling her Moms about it at all, which is a first for her. 

"There," Yeojin smiled tiredly, yawning as she mindlessly wraps her arms protectively around her special homework and drifts off to sleep. The following morning at 6:00 am, Kahei received a message. It's a photo. A photo of her sleeping child hugging a paper which has her photo and Haseul's. It was during Yeojin's first birthday, her arms around Haseul smiling widely while wearing a party hat, and then Haseul smiling to the point where her eyes couldn't be seen, Kahei's favorite smile of hers. And between them is the even more tiny Yeojin, which they bet were happy at that time. They were all happy.

Kahei couldn't believe how their child manage to get that priceless photo. Not that she doesn't approve of it, it's just that since their divorce, she never see a photo of her and Haseul together.  Happily.  And she misses it. She replied to her. "I'll be there in 35 minutes." She doesn't know why, but, it just felt like she has to be there. For Yeojin, for Haseul. On her way home, Haseul and Yeojin will always be her home. No matter how broken it is. It will always be her home. She received a text message, "Don't mention to Yeojin about the photograph. Just came to her room to wake her up and it's out of sight. Maybe embarrassed about showing it to us? Just take care."
Kahei smiled but felt worried. Not wanting their child to keep secrets from them. She, they have to talk their baby.

She knocked then greeted by the beautiful Haseul, she'll always remain beautiful to Kahei's eyes even if she's wearing simple house clothes. They proceeded to the kitchen where the shocked Yeojin is eating her pancakes, her Mama pressed a kiss on her forehead while her Umma gets another plate for their significant visitor. With another forkful of speared pancake Kahei chews while smiling, looking at Haseul who is having the same treatment when Yeojin feeds her, then their sights locked, everything is in slow motion.  She saw Haseul mirroring her smile and mindlessly turn their gaze to the laughing Yeojin. And Kahei knows that she and Haseul were both thinking the same thing, she doesn't know why. But she can bet her life that they were only thinking a particular thing while looking lovingly at their child.

Yeojin is the greatest thing that ever happened in their entire life. They'll talk to her later. They'll cherish this moment for now.
