a step-by-step walkthrough of life after high school
The Yang Family
After graduating high school, Hongseok and Jiae spent the entire summer either job hunting or going on double dates with their friends. It was in the Fall of 2017 that Hongseok entered Konkuk University as an education major. As for Jiae, well, she spent the rest of 2017 preparing for the upcoming Miss Korea 2018 pageant. After coming in as first runner-up, Jiae was given a scholarship for any school of her choice. Because her grades being poor before, she had never even thought she'd be able to go to a nice school. However, after winning the scholarship, Jiae entered Konkuk University as an education major, alongside Hongseok. The two continued going to school side by side for two years before Hongseok popped the big question: "Will you marry me?" Needless to say, Jiae was all tears when her boyfriend (now hubby) asked her for her hand in marriage. The two waited two years, so they could finish college, before getting married in the Summer of 2022. It was only six months later though that Jiae announced she was pregnant with twins! On September 15th, 2023, Yang Jongsuk and Heeyoung were born; Jiae had fraternal twin babies! The four have been living in a large apartment in Seoul ever since, with Hongseok being a math teacher and Jiae being a gym teacher and cheerleading coach at Joongdong High School. When she's not being the coach of the cheer team, Jiae is at home with her two pre-schoolers!
The Yeo Family
After graduating high school, Changgu and Joori spent the entire summer together. They would go on double dates with friends all while maintaining their part time jobs. Joori had managed to get a job in an art gallery while Changgu worked part time at Lotte Mart. In the Fall of 2017, Changgu entered Dongguk University's Seoul Campus as a elementary education major, while Joori entered Hansung University as an interior design major in the arts department. Joori graduated from Hansung in Spring 2019 with an asssociate's degree in interior design. She began working as an intern on television sitcom sets at KBS. In the Spring of 2020, Changgu proposed to Joori, with her saying "yes" in return. The two married a few months later in late summer of that same year, having a small ceremony surrounded by only close friends and family. In Spring 2021, Changgu graduated from Dongguk University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education. He began his internship as a student teacher at Joongdong Elementary School in fall of that year. By 2022, Changgu was working as a second grade math teacher at Joongdong Elementary School, while Joori was the head set designer for KBS dramas. In January of 2023, Joori began pregnant with her first child. On October 7th, 2023, Yeo Saeron was born. Both Joori and Changgu were absolutely delighted with their little girl, hoping to have at least one more child in the future. The couple was in luck because on July 4th, 2025, Yeo Sejun was brought into this world. Changgu and Joori ended up upgrading their apartment to a three bedroom one, giving Saeron and Sejun their own rooms. By late 2026, the couple had also adopted a beagle named Haru and a siamese cat named Saru.
The Lee Family
After graduating high school, Mari and Mark spent their summer together. They went on dates, sometimes even on double dates, though they were mostly with Joori and Changgu out of all of their friends. Once fall had arrived, Mari and Mark both enter different universities. Mari attended Yonsei University, one of the top universities in South Korea, as a business major. Mark attended Kookmin University as a finance and insurance major, hoping to become a budget analyst in the near future. Despite being busy with their school life and other responsibilities, the couple still found time for each other. They made time whenever possible, never losing even the slightest bit of love for one another despite having massive amounts of time away from each other. In the Summer of 2021, Mark graduated from Kookmin University with a bachelor's degree. Mari earned her bachelor's in the same year but remained in school to earn her master's, she was to become the CEO of her family's company afterall. In the Summer of 2023, Mari finally graduated from Yonsei University with her master's degree in tote. On that same day however, Mark proposed to Mari, asking her to become Mrs. Lee. Absolutely estactic, Mari obviously said "Yes!" With help from Mari's family, the two were wed in October of that same year, surrounded by family and friends. Currently, the two are living in a shared apartment together in Seoul. Mark currently works as a budget analyst at the company Mari's family owns, happy that he's able to work with his wife. In 2026, Mari got promoted from Deputy President to Vice Chairman of her family's company, successfully becoming the CEO shortly after her father retired from his position. Currently, the couple have no plans for children at the moment, but aren't opposed to the idea of having some in the future.
