Epilogue
ten years later...
The year is 2027, exactly ten years after the class of 2017 graduated from high school. A lot had changed. People. Relationships. New families. However, the one thing that remained the same was: Friendship. This year's high school reunion was being held in the very same event hall that held the prom of 2017. Former students and staff members alike flocked to the building, to reunite for once more. Ms. Ahn stood near the entrance with her husband and two children. "Do you see your friends yet, mommy?" Ms. Ahn, rather, Mrs. Jung looked down at her youngest child. "Mommy's friends aren't here yet, Sori, just wait a little longer." Mr. Jung smiled, soothing the restless five year old. "Mom, I'm bored." Seokjin, Mrs. Jung's first child, complained. For a ten year old, he sure was mature. "Ms. Ahn!" A voice called out, causing the entire Jung family to turn and look in the direction. "Is that one of mommy's friends?" Sori questioned again, watching as a woman, along with a man, and two similar looking children came rushing towards her mother. "Jiae, you need to calm down. We just saw Mrs. Jung yesterday." Hongseok sighed, trying to get his wife to relax a little. "I'm sorry, honey bee, I'm just excited to see everyone..." Jiae pouted as she casted her eyes downwards. "Honey bee?" Seokjin asked with a semi-grossed out look on his young face. "Seokjin, mind your manners." His father scolded with a sigh, taking note of his son's recent rebellious behavior. "Mommy, hold me!" One of Jiae's children, Jongsuk, exclaimed as he started to fuss. "No, mommy, hold me!" Heeyoung, Jongsuk's twin sister, fussed as well. Jiae sighed and picked up her two children, holding each in one arm, though struggling. "Heeyoung, let daddy hold you, okay?" Hongseok said with a smile as he removed the twin from Jiae's arm. Heeyoung pouted but let her father do as he pleased. "How have you been?" Mrs. Jung asked Jiae with a smile as they took a seat at one of the many tables laid out throughout the hall. "I've been well, I'm just so excited to reunite with everyone!" Jiae chuckled with a large grin, ready to just be able to meet all of her friends. "Looks like I found the right table," A woman spoke up from behind the two mothers, causing both to turn and look.
Behind them stood Joori with an infant in one arm and Changgu behind her with another young toddler in his arms as well. "Saeron!" Heeyoung exclaimed excitedly, happy to see her best friend and playmate. Saeron quirmed in her father's arms until he sat her down next to Heeyoung, who both began happily chatting about Disney and the such. "Hi, Jongsuk." Saeron greeted with a smile, but Jongsuk turned his head and moved onto his father's lap. "That's not very nice, Jongsuk." Hongseok scolded his son, who looked up at him with a pout. "But, daddy, girls have cooties!" Jongsuk whined causing the adults around him to laugh. "That's no excuse, apologize to Saeron now." Hongseok ordered, not having any of his son's antics. "I'm sorry, Saeron..." Jongsuk said with a pout before moving from his father's lap to his mother's. Jiae patted his hand and hugged him to her chest while she chatted with Joori and Mrs. Jung. "So, how's the little one?" Mrs. Jung asked, motioning to the child in his arms. "Oh, Sejun? He's fine, just tired. I fed him before coming here so he's sleepy now." Joori explained as she lightly kissed her
