TZUYU POV

“Was that too harsh?” I asked 

“Honestly... yeah” answered Chaeyoung 

After that talk Mina and I had, I went back to the cafe only to find out, Mina decided to go back home. I felt guilty for what I said. 

Its lunch break right now and Sana and Momo were busy talking to each other so I excused myself to talk to Chaeyoung. We went to a private lounge.

”But it was the truth!” I argued

”Even if it is, you shouldn’t have been that harsh.” 

“She’s the one that left! Without a goodbye!”

”I know! But did you ever take the time to listen to her?”

”what do you mean?” I asked

”You keep saying she hurt you, she left you. But do you even know the reason why she did? All I’m saying, there’s a reason for everything. Maybe she left in order to... i don’t know.. perhaps protect you?” 

“Protect me? From what?” 

“I don’t know. I’m not Mina. Tzuyu, just try to talk to her again. This time, try listening to her” Chaeyoung adviced 

“Well that’s not going to happen anytime soon.” 

“Well then for now just try to cool off. Relax! You’re only 23! A normal 23 year old don’t have these kind of problems!” Laughed Chaeyoung. “Then again a normal 23 year old doesn’t have multiple hotel branches around the country”

I laughed along. 

I thought  about what Chaeyoung said. Maybe there is a legitimate reason on why she left me. But what could it be either than I wasn’t rich?

For the next 2 days Mina didn’t show up. Momo said her cold got worse. I knew that was a lie. She can’t face me after what happened. I know that was the real reason because knowing Mina.. a cold won’t stop her from getting things done. It wasn’t until today when she came back. All my staff greeted her happily. They all loved her. I didn’t have to question that. Mina was just kind to all. 

“It’s so wonderful that you’re back, Ms. Myoui!” 

“It’s great to be back!” smiles Mina 

Everyone was busy greeting her and I wasn’t in the mood for wasting time .

”Let’s get to work everybody!” I said coldly 

Everyone looked at me. I made a quick eye contact with Mina before walking away. 

MEETING ROOM 

“We should make sure to include a 5-star bar in the adults section! Surely adults would love that since the hotel will be based by the beach!” Mina suggested “What do you think Tzuyu!” she asked 

“I don’t care. I’m focusing more on the important parts” I replied coldly. 

I honestly didn’t know why I was acting like this.  But I guess my reply was just the answer that crossed the line because everyone turned silent and Sana and Momo looked at us awkwardly 

“I would like to have a word with Mr. Chou. Will that be fine Sana? Momo?” Mina asked 

“Go ahead.” Momo replied 

“Everyone, we’ll have a 10min break.” Sana announced as she stood up and left with everyone else 

Once everyone left and it was just me and Mina, Mina didn’t waste any more time
