Remembering

kookmin (jikook) one shots

Candle flames flickered, their dim light illuminating the room with their serenity.

“Jimin”

Jimin gasped

Love was truly bliss.

He remembered.

Time had been young then, and his reality had been clouded by the misconceptions of youth.

He had been innocent.

Naive.

In love.

They both had been.

He could still remember the pink envelope, his own words a messy scribble of uncertainty.

He hadn't expected a reply. No, a reply had been the last thing he'd expected.

But it had come.

Thank God it came.

Meet me at the east field after school.

He didn't know why he went. It could easily have gone very wrong. It was too good to be true.

“Did you write this?”

He'd been scared, terrified even. He had awaited the inevitable laughter. T

he disgust.

It really was too good to be true.

He had remained quiet.

“let's give it a shot”

…………...

Youth continued, revolving in its ever oblivious state.

Jimin loved every second of it.

He love the secret glances, the shy smiles. The first kiss.

Oh how he loved the first kiss.

He could still remember.

It had been at the train station, not too far from the movie theatre. Their date had just come to an end. It was time to part ways.

Jimin knew it had been a last minute decision, but the soft lips grazing his, had not permitted him to care less.

It had truly been unreal.

But it ended too fast.

The age of the young flew by, and suddenly reality seemed to move a little faster.

It was at this time that Jimin truly saw love.

Truly felt pain.

It had been marvelous.

The distrust. The hate. The agony.

The joy. The ecstasy.

The lust.

Jimin had loved it all.

But that too didn't last long.

With new found knowledge and experiences, came maturity.

It was at this time that he learned to trust.

To rely completely.

To need instead of want.

Thinking back to it all, Jimin never regretted anything.

 He still didn’t…..

And looking into the sharp contours of the gem that he knew had it own story, he knew he never will.

“Will you marry me?”

Jimin bit back the tears that he knew would eventually come.

He had experienced a lot of things.

Overcomed a lot of challenges.

Felt success.

But never in his life had he felt so happy.

He grinned as he felt deep down in his heart, the last piece that would complete him, fall into place

“Yes Jungkook”
