Cocky yet cuteIf I remember correctly then Chaemin was in this class but she still hadn't arrived. There was still a good 5 minutes before class started so I decided to strike up conversation with Jongin. Did I mention that he looked kinda angry? His forehead was creased as if he was thinking about something important an his hands were clenched as his knuckles slowly but surely turned white.
"Jongin," I whispered and got no reply in return, "Yah Jongin" I reached over to his desk and tapped his arm lightly. Damn does this boy have muscles; his white button down shirt was tight on his arms as a bulge was evident. He slightly turned his head in what looked like annoyance. 'What's his problem?' I wondered to myself. "What's the matter? You look annoyed" He buried his face in his crossed arms before mumbling something incoherently. "What?" I squinted, "Stop mumbling and lift your head" I repeatedly tapped his arm to get a reaction out of him.
"Yah stop!" his voice rose a little.
"That's better. Now answer my question" Chaemin spotted me and took the seat infront of me.
"I lost a keychain that my mum gave me before...before she left us"
"Who's us? And why did she leave?" his ambiguity was starting to annoy me.
"My father and I and because of cancer." just as tears rose to his eyes, he shut them and willed the tears back.
"Oh I-i'm so sorry" I rubbed his back in the hopes to comfort him. I felt so insensitive by asking all those questions, I didn't realise that he meant his mother had passed away when he said that she left. At that moment our geography teacher Miss Bang walked into class.
"Good morning class," she smiled a warm smile, "since this is our first lesson, I'll set you an easy task. We will be recapping rivers so I will put you all into pairs" moans echoed around the room as people despised working with those that they barely knew. Chaemin turned to face me and pouted seeing as we wouldn't be able to work together. "I will give you each a river in different parts of the world. You must create and informative poster/leaflet for someone who knows nothing about your river and when these are due, you will present it with your partner for the whole class. If copy and paste is used, your work will automatically be disqualified from the raffle. To prevent the usage of copy and paste, you must word your work so that an 8th grader is able to understand what you are telling them. The due date is 2 weeks so I expect these to be done to your best ability" she clapped as she finished up explaining the task. A student, I think her name
