Tiffany POV

Jessi and I were giggling and laughing when we walked into class. Arm in arm. She was carrying all my books and I wasn't sure why. I denied her offer at first but then she took them anyways. We walked over to her usual spot at the front. She placed our books down before she finished off her story.

“So both Krys and I had a face full of pie. It was in our ears and everything and we both had M&M’s stuck up our noses. We had to go to the hospital because we couldn't physically get them out ourselves. It was so bad. We laugh at it now because it was a really stupid idea,” Jessi finished her story, laughing at the end. I laughed at the thought of little Jessica and little Krystal in that terrible mess. I took a seat beside Jessica and suddenly, Jessica’s smile started to fade.

“Is everything alright Jessi?” I questioned, raising an eyebrow. She turned herself to the chalkboard and looked down into her lap. Was it something I I said? I looked around me to see what was the matter. The class was dead silent and all eyes were on the both of us.

“What?” I asked the class. They all turned back to their conversations, eyeing and pointing at the both of us occasionally. I looked over at Tae and she just shrugged her shoulders. Then she pointed to her phone. I pulled out my phone, waiting for an answer.

I’m busy then, eating lunch with Jessi :P

I looked up and nod. Then turned back to Jessi.

“You know, you don't have to sit by me. I usually sit alone,” Jessi mumbled, still looking down into her lap. She looked sort of sad.

“Y-You can go sit with Taeyeon-ssi. I-I don't mind. We can still eat t-together later. Only i-if you want to.”

I pursed my lips. I don't want to sit with Taeyeon. I want to sit with you and I want to eat lunch together too.

“Of course I want to eat lunch with you. Why wouldn't I?” She looked sort of taken back at my response.

“B-Because I’m the school's nerd. A-And you’re pretty… and popular. I-I just don't want to ruin your reputation. Go sit with Taeyeon-ssi, Tiff.”

“I always sit with Tae. It's a nice change. You’re not sitting alone today. I'm sitting here. I’m sitting with you,” I started to take my books out from under my seat. Her face looked genuinely shocked.

“Like it or not, I'm sitting here. If they don't like it, then they can talk to me about it. But right now, I'm with my best friend.” I smiled at her and put my hand on top of hers reassuringly. She smiled and nodded. Suddenly, the tone went.

Ding, ding, ding, ding.

The teacher walked in and the class rep called everyone to stand. Then a bow. Three and a half more hours until my lunch date. Man, I was itching to get out to have my lunch with my beautiful best nerd friend.

Every once in a while, I glanced over to Jess. Her eyes were half open and her head was bobbing up and down. I could tell she was trying not to fall asleep. I giggled at my drowsy little nerd. It’s really amazing how she has the highest grades in our entire school, and yet she sleeps through all her classes. It really is. She’s so funny and nerdy, she's all around amazing. I don't understand how she’s always been alone. I wish I could have meet her before, it's kind if sad how-

“Tiffany,” someone nudged me from behind. I waved whoever it was off and continued to stare at my sleepy Jessi. So peaceful. I wonder how she-

“Tiffany!” The person tapped my shoulder again. I spun around and glared at the person behind me.

“What the hell do you-” she pointed to the front. What the hell… I scrunched my face and spun back around. I looked up and saw our disapproving Songsaenim. I smiled awkwardly and waved to him. He looked very unimpressed. All eyes were on me now. Trying to remain calm, I slowly got up out of my seat and stood to the side of my desk. Then bowed 90 degrees.

“J-joesonghaeyo” I stuttered out. Praying silently to God that I didn't get detention or in trouble at all. I glanced up from my bow and looked at the teacher. He rolled his eyes and let me rise. I bowed again as he continued his lesson. I heard some snickering from the back and I knew exactly who it was. My rival. Kim Yu Bin, also known as YuBin. She is such a . Even her name sounds y. I've been dealing with this chick for years. My group and I have, at least. It was usually her posey against mine. Let me explain why this chick has been a grade A pain in my for the past four years. Grade 8, middle school. Her and I were partnered for a science project,  I’d do my part she’d do hers, except, I didn't know she was a slacker so I helped her with most of it. Long story short, she got an A on the project that I mostly did. I ended up having to redo the entire project again and getting docked marks because it was “late”.
