“Is it me, or does Jackson Wang look extremely hot today?” Lisa gushed, staring at the track field where he was seen twirling a bow arrow in his hands.

Hayi didn’t bother looking up from her book and replied, “Yeah, he does.”

Lisa turned to look at her and frowned, “Yah!  Hayi, you didn’t even look!”  She grabbed her best friend head with her hands and forced her to look straight ahead, “See?  Isn’t he freaking hot?!”

Hayi stared at Jackson for a couple of seconds before she let out a big sigh, “Yes, he’s freaking hot.  Now, can you please let go of my head so I can finish reading?”

“Why did I even bother dragging you out here with me?” Lisa mumbled, releasing her hands from her head.  “I’m trying to help you get over Jung Jaewon.”

Hayi closed her book and remained silent.  Her hands started shaking just hearing his name.  She confessed her love to him a couple of weeks ago, only to be harshly rejected by him.  Never in her life had she been so depressed and heart-broken.  He could have just kindly rejected her, but no, he had to tell her that she was too fat and too short for him.  His harsh words hurt her so deeply that she starved herself.  She lost 15 pounds in two weeks!  It wasn’t the healthiest way for her to lose weight, but she was determined to show Jaewon that she can be a skinny girl.  Just wait until I’m skinny Jung Jaewon.  You’ll regret rejecting me she thought, forming her hands into a tight fist.

“Omo! Jackson is looking this way!” Lisa squealed with happiness.

“That’s nice,” Hayi muttered, not even bother looking up.  She was too busy thinking of ways how to hurt Jaewon once she was skinny enough for him.  Out of all the guys in the entire school, I just had to have a crush on that jerk.  

Lisa squealed, “Oh , oh , oh .  He’s coming over here Hayi.” 

Jackson approached the two girls and smiled, “Hello ladies.”

“Hello Jackson,” Lisa said, batting her beautiful eyelashes at him.  She nudge her best friend and hissed, “Say hi, dummy.”

Hayi lifted her head up and mumbled, “Hi.”  Good lord!  He is handsome she thought staring at his silver hair.  “Nice hair color,” she said.  , did I just say that out loud?

He chuckled, “Thanks Hayi.  I didn’t think you would notice.”

“Y-You know my name?” she asked, blinking her eyes at him.

“Of course I know your name,” he said, not forgetting to wink at her.

She blushed and quickly looked away from him. 

Lisa cleared , “So, what brings you here Jackson?”

Jackson nervously scratched his neck and replied, “Well, I need a female partner to play archery against my best friend Mark and his girlfriend.  Seeing that you guys are the only females sitting here, I was wondering if one of you could be my partner?”

“Hayi would LOVE to be your partner Jackson!” Lisa happily said, as she practically shoved her best friend towards him.

“Yah!” Hayi cried as her best friend yanked her off the bench.  Being the clumsy girl she was, she trip on her own feet and fell right into Jackson manly arms.

“Are you alright Hayi?” he asked, sounding worried.

I’m going to kill Lisa for this she thought.  “I-I’m fine.  Um, you can let me go now.”  God, this is so embarrassing.  She glared at her best friend and gave her the I’m-going-to-kick-your--later look. 

Jackson slowly let her go as he watch her adjust her clothes and her messy hair.  He couldn’t help but stare at her cute puffy cheeks.  Her milky skin and red cherry lips were too irresistible for him that he found himself leaning closer to her face.

Hayi stiffen as Jackson leaned close to her face.  She blinked at him several times before she stuttered, “I-Is there something on my face?”  Before she could let him answer, she quickly backed away and wiped her face furiously with her tiny hands. 

He couldn’t help but laugh out loud at her silliness.  She’s so cute.

Feeling embarrassed, Hayi turned to her best friend and pointed to her face, “Lisa, is it gone?  Are there cookie crumbs on my lips?  My cheeks?  Or perhaps, my eye brows?”

Lisa burst out laughing and shook her head no.  “Calm down Hayi.  There’s nothing on your face.”

“Don’t lie!” she cried.

“I swear to god Hayi.  I’m not lying,” Lisa retorted. 

“Your friend is right Hayi.  There’s nothing on your face.  I’m sorry if I invaded your space,” Jackson said, feeling guilty that he made her feel insecure about something being on her face.
