The air in the bedroom felt stuffy. Maybe it was because the room was tiny… or it was due to the fact that you could feel the overwhelming awkwardness between you and Seung Hyun grow by each second. There was an elephant in the room and you were unconsciously chanting in your head not to say anything. Compared to your lunch, the dinner earlier was spent in complete silence. It was as if you were both introverted strangers who were trying to avoid each other's gazes. You were trying your hardest not to overthink the situation but still… the incredibly cringe-worthy atmosphere was too much too bear. Fidgeting with the hems of your damp jacket, you simply resorted to watch the rain ceaselessly hit the glass window.   With the sound of the rain, a lot of questions seemed to arise in your head. You wanted to know a lot of things about him but you were hesitant to ask. The day had went well and you were able to be… dare you say, friendly with him. And asking questions may change things.   "Aish." Seung Hyun suddenly muttered and you turned around to see him scowling on his wooden chair across the room.   "Sorry, Y/N. I really didn't want us to be uncomfortable. But I think I'm going to explode from the awkward."   A beat. And then you both chuckled.   "I'm so sorry as well. I'm just not used to..." You waved your hand around. "...this."   “You’ve beaten me as the Master of Awkwardness.” He tried to joke.   “I don’t think anyone is more awkward than you.”   “You are.” He teased back and your body sort of relaxed immediately.   He shrugged off his coat and hung it on the back of the door. "We still have a lot of time. How about you tell me something about yourself?"   "I don't think my life is as interesting as yours." You said as you sat on the window sill. The rain was heavy as it hit the glass and it was as if it also wanted to listen to your conversation.   "You speak four languages fluently, you like art, and you like me..." He smirked and you knew he was really starting to like teasing you. "I meant Bigbang. I think you're pretty interesting."   "You can ask me questions." His smile softened at your response.   “Which of the languages you know do you like the most?”   “Korean.” You replied without any hesitation.   “Why?”   You stared at the wooden floor and thought about the years you spent in Seoul. “I was thirteen when we moved to Seoul. And adjusting to a new environment always takes time. I didn’t have a lot of friends at first. I spent most of my time on my… interests. And as I’ve told you before, I’ve always loved learning. I made a lot of friends and was able to do a lot of things. Over the years, I became more outgoing and more adventurous. I discovered other aspects of myself when I learned how to speak Korean.”   Seung Hyun didn’t respond immediately—a thoughtful look on his face. You didn’t know if you should proceed or not. And then deciding to just go with his questions.   “What are your interests?” He seemed like he caught your hesitation when you mentioned that word earlier.   You cleared your throat as you looked around the room. Your answer would probably elicit something interesting from him.   “Art and music.”   His eyes widened a fraction. There it goes… He might think I’m a creep for having the exact same interests as his.   “You’re an artist or simply an enthusiast like me?” One of his eyebrows raised and you felt your cheeks heat up at the sudden scrutiny you were receiving.   “I’m an artist.” You leaned your head on the glass and hoped you could just go to sleep on your own bed. This was a sensitive topic you would rather not talk about. But there was a voice in your head telling you that Seung Hyun would at least be the tiniest bit interested in what you do.   “You paint or draw or…?” He had sat straighter and you could tell he was indeed getting more interested.   “Both.”   “Really?” His voice was higher than normal. “Can I see your works?”   You your lips as you tried to think of the words to say.   “I haven’t really made anything in a while.” You paused. “I’m more focused into music nowadays. At least I get paid.”   It seemed like he understood your predicament so he didn’t probe with the topic any further.  And so your conversation went to music. You told him that aside from your online tutoring, you regularly performed in bars or restaurants.   “I sing and play the piano. But I don’t have any fans like you do.” You smiled. “Maybe except for a few friends.”   “You have to let me see you perform then.” Seung Hyun smiled back. “I think it’s nice that you’re into music as well. Who are your inspirations?”   And you talked about your favorite singers and bands and how they influenced your music. Still, you made it a point that you had your own style and that you would not be restricted with your music. That was how you ended up talking about how you suddenly veered into K-pop when you discovered Bigbang and how much their group had influenced your life.   “I felt less lonely.” You ended and you realized that Seung Hyun had been quietly listening with an intent look on his face.   “Thank you.” His words caught you off guard.   “For what?”   Seung Hyun leaned back on his seat—his face becoming gentler by the second. “For making us further realize that our work is worthwhile.”   “I think a lot of fans have the same sentiment as mine.”   “They do. But hearing it in real life is different.” His eyes crinkled as he smiled and your heart felt suddenly warm because of the sight before you.   You took out your phone and you couldn’t keep the grin off of your face. “And who would ever feel lonely when you hear…”   Yeogi buteora…   G-Dragon’s voice echoed inside the tiny room and Seung Hyun’s eyes widened as you stood up from the window sill and started singing along. You knew all the words by heart and was dancing terribly. The smile on Seung Hyun’s face widened until he was suddenly giggling like an idiot. And his laugh fueled your energy and you didn’t care if you looked stupid. You just wanted to make him happy.   “Your rap!” You half-shouted as you held an invisible microphone to his face.   “Do it!”   “…han su wi!” You continued his part and he laughed out loud at how your voice dropped octaves lower. You looked and sounded ridiculous trying to imitate him but you slayed his rap nonetheless.   He was bobbing his head along with the music with a huge grin on his face. And you knew you had entertained him well. When the song ended, you were out of breath and your cheeks were flushed caused by the sudden dancing and the embarrassment that was gradually crawling back into your system. You plopped down on the bed and stared at the ceiling as Seung Hyun clapped.   “You should become our new member.” He remarked and one of your eyebrows raised when you looked at him.   “No, thanks. I’d rather not steal all your fame and money.” You deadpanned and he laughed for the nth time that night.   You both fell into silence after he had calmed down. But this time, the silence was welcomed
