The way he worked was fascinating. One of the things that made you admire him was his dedication to his work—either in music or acting… he always delivered. His focus was unparalleled as if every minute detail about his character was thoughtfully and skillfully crafted. From action scenes to emotional ones, his movements and expressions were always precise and sincere. You watched in awe as he filmed a scene involving his character seeing the chaos that was about to unravel in the story. You had seen his movies before and found that he was indeed a capable actor. But seeing him act live was nothing short of extraordinary.   “And cut!” The director yelled and you quickly rushed to his side as Seung Hyun walked towards him as well.   “Was it good? Did I do well?” Seung Hyun asked the director in English and you felt your chest swell in pride. You had been tutoring him for several times already and it was the first time he spoke in English while filming.   “Yes! Look at this take.” The director showed him the playback and you curiously watched it as well. Glancing at Seung Hyun, his face looked like he was about to get a scolding even though the director already praised him. He was taking everything seriously yet moments later… you found yourself laughing as he swiveled around and lightly shook his hips as some of the crew cheered for him. The paradox of Choi Seung Hyun was a thing that would take you forever to understand.   Your lessons with him had become a routine: Hong Il informing you of the time Seung Hyun’s available, you going to Seung Hyun’s hotel room, both of you sitting side by side in front of a mahogany desk as you taught him phrases and vocabulary, and you conversing in English as you politely corrected any mistakes he made. He already knew the technical stuff. His pronunciation was good but he needed to improve on his sentence construction… and his confidence as well.   It was already your fifth lesson with him yet it felt like you were always treading on eggshells around him. Nothing spectacular or earth-shattering had happened and you were hoping not to embarrass yourself any further than the alarm clock incident. He was always polite and would ask questions if he didn’t understand something. Your conversations were all about things that would be useful for learners. Yet the selfish part of you wanted to get to know him better. Maybe it was because you had been a fan for so long that anything significant that he would share would sustain your life for the years to come. Still, you felt extremely glad that you were able to have this time with him.   They said that you should be careful of what you wish for… And that couldn’t be more true.   “Don’t think too much about it.” Seung Hyun repeated and his accent was really impressive.   Even though he looked like he was about to pass out, he still focused on the lesson and was even jotting down notes. He ran a hand on his tired face as he briefly closed his eyes.   "You can rest if you're very tired." You said to him in Korean and he slowly looked up to meet your gaze.   "No." He replied in English. "I want to learn."   A small smile appeared on your lips. "You're quite stubborn, aren't you?"   "I guess I am." He managed to smile as well and that caught you off guard. It was as if his tiredness was gradually chipping away his aloofness towards you.   There was an awkward pause as you didn't know how to continue the conversation then. Would you leave and let him rest?   "Uhm..." He started as he closed the book in front of him and you were surprised to hear him speak in straight English. "Since we have two days off... I'd like to go somewhere."   "Where would you like to go?" You asked as his lips pouted slightly.   "Around the city and maybe the countryside?” His eyes lit up as he suddenly switched to Korean and you thought to do the same. “I'd like to visit more galleries, museums, and maybe castles."   "I know a castle. And there are so many great museums in the city. Would you like me to give you directions?" You perked up since you would want him to visit the places you had in mind.   "Are you going to do something during our off?" He fiddled with the edge of the book.   "I'm just going to stay at home."   Seung Hyun gave a small sigh and looked at you directly in the eyes. "Is it okay if you go with me?"   The sudden offer surprised you. You were just thinking about wanting to get to know him better moments ago. And there he was, asking you to go sightseeing with him. There were only two options: one was to act like a total nutcase… the other was to keep your cool like your favorite guy didn’t just offer to spend a day with him. You went for the latter.   "So you won't get lost?" You tried to say casually.   "Yes?" He stood up and you followed him to the door. "So I'll meet you tomorrow after breakfast at the lobby?"   You nodded. "See you."   He smiled again and your head was whirring in confusion at his sudden friendliness. You bid him goodbye as you could see he was dead on his feet. That night, you planned the places he would want to visit. And it took you quite some time to fall asleep because of the sudden excitement bubbling inside you. When sleep came, the last thought that you had was, “Please don’t up.”     You arrived at the hotel as promised and Seung Hyun was already standing around the lobby. He was wearing his signature mask. He looked quite casual yet stylish with his sweater, slacks, and leather shoes. He wore a dark coat and you felt a bit dressed-down with your jacket, jeans, and old boots. You felt that it would be better to dress comfortably because of all the walking you might do later.   "Where's Hong Il-ssi?" You asked after both of you greeted each other.   "He has his own plans." His lips pulled down. "Besides, he hates anything related to my other interests."   You chuckled. "So you always go alone?"   "Most of the time." He smiled slightly then. "You ready?"   You nodded and then followed him outside the hotel. You were expecting a car but Seung Hyun just continued to walk and you asked, "Aren't we going to use a car?"   "No. Today, we're commuting."   "Are you sure?" The surprise in your voice was evident that he looked at you with raised eyebrows. Panic started to rise as you tried to reason with him. "I mean you have a lot of fans... even German fans! You might get noticed!"   "Then they notice." He said a matter-of-factly and you were still out of the loop.   "But you might get horded! And you don't have your manager or a bodyguard! What will you do? Or they take sneaky pictu
