Jiyong smiles at the sight of little hyerin who has fallen asleep on his lap. He carefully takes the sleeping girl into his arms making extra sure that he doesn’t wake up the girl. He makes his way to the bed with hyerin in his arms and puts her on the bed. The girl was still in a deep sleep. Jiyong closes the door and throw his body to the sofa. And he checks his phone to see a message from daesung telling him not to forget about the plan. Jiyong replied ok and he was about to have a nap all tired from this baby sitting but then the clicking sound of the door makes him stand up.

              The opening door reveals a woman, to be exact, hyerin mother. “U r late” jiyong greets her with a complaint. She smiles at him instantly and gives a puppy pout. “Sorry Oppa. Our oppa might be tired” she comes near him and gives him a quick massage. “How was hyerin? Did she do something naughty?” she asks him while putting her bags. “ofcourse not. Hyerin is such a good girl” she forms another smile. “thank you oppa” she said.

             “Jiyong-ah” youngbae comes in greeting at jiyong. “annyeong youngbae-ah” “what are u guys talking about? Jieun and you?” youngbae points at both of them. “about your daughter hyerin” jiyong reply. “what? What about hyerin? Did she do something? Or is she unwell? Tell me what is wrong” jiyong and jieun break into laughter seeing how crazy youngbae can get for his daughter. Youngbae is totally a fool for his daughter. “calm down.. we were just chatting about hyerin being a good girl” youngbae lets out a breathe. “what a relieve. Anyways thanks for looking after her” youngbae high fived his best friend.

             “But you knows..” jiyong hesitated “hyerin asks me about my first love” jieun and youngbae both stops at their place don’t know what to say back to jiyong. “arghh hyerin is really.. why is she asking like that… haha..” youngbae awkwardly try to ease the atmosphere. “it’s ok.. it doesn’t affect me that much anymore. So it is ok”

A lie. It was a lie.

               “Oppa do u want to have lunch before going back?” jieun perfectly try to change the subject. Jiyong shakes his head. “No, no need. I have to meet with daesung” “why? What r u guys going to do?” youngbae sulks because he isn’t in the plan. “I don’t know too. He said he got tickets for gallery..then I will be going” jiyong waves at the two. “Jiyong-ah” jiyong turns back to youngbae. “it is raining outside. Take an umbrella with you. U can take the one in front of the door” jiyong nodded at youngbae. Jiyong stunned at the sight of the umbrella. His hand couldn’t seem to reach out the umbrella in front of him. He just stares at it. “it reminds me of you” jiyong whispers to himself. And he reaches out to the white umbrella. 

“Time passes day by day. From seconds to hours and it changes into days.               

 But you never come back to me. Waiting for you become a habit for me.                 

And since the day, u run away from me. I never tried to find you.

 Even when people around us were saying all sort things about you, like how u go to abroad and the worst thing like u r dead, I ignore all of them.

Youngbae and Daesung were acting very careful in front of me, purposely trying to avoid talking about you in order not to hurt me.

 But I was still very hurt inside.

 It pains me when I look at the white umbrella, so I even keep that umbrella away. But don’t worry I didn’t throw it out.

How can I? It is still the thing that make me meet you.

But u know I tried to be strong and let u go like it doesn’t hurt me that much.

But I miss you like crazy. Every day, I miss you. But I don’t cry anymore though I did in the start. Now I just miss you.

And on rainy day like this, it makes me breaks down inside. I keep looking around, thinking u might pop up from somewhere. But u didn’t.

 Or when I have to take a shelter because it is raining. I though u might come to me giving me an umbrella. But u didn’t.

And when I got the degree, I thought u might finally return to me to congratulate me. But u didn’t.

When I have my first show as a musical director, I thought u might really come then. But u didn’t.  

Just like that, I lived my life everyday thinking u will comeback.

It has been already 5 years seungri-ah.

I have so many questions prepared for you when u come back.

About how u spend all these 5 years.

And I m going to hit u hard for making me wait for this long.

But the truth is I m becoming more sure that u might not come back.

And I m scared of it.

But I still don’t want to give up my first love which I have been keeping for all these years.

Even after all these years, I haven’t get over on you

I still believe in the little hope that u would come back”

               “HYUNG” jiyong looks at daesung. “..what?..” daesung rolled his eyes. “I m saying that it is here for like hundred times. but hyung isn’t listening at all” “sorry..” jiyong mumbles. Daesung points at the building. “that one is the gallery”

First Love

                Jiyong looks at the gallery collection name. He doesn’t know why but it makes him a bit warm. “who is the artist?” jiyong asks daesung since he doesn’t find the name of the artist. “I don’t know too hyung”  daesung cheekily smiles. “What..?” daesung scratches his head. “I get it free hyung. Let just go inside” daesung said as he drags him inside. “hyung then u watch freely. I will be going” daesung said as he flees outside leaving confused jiyong alone. Jiyong changes his gaze to the first painting. And it strikes him hard.

Jiyong still remembers about the painting that seungri was drawing 5 years ago. He doesn’t know then that it was an incomplete painting. Seungri was drawing their library then but now it is filled with a boy who is reading a book laying there. It was him. It was jiyong.

Jiyong moves to the second painting which is showing the back of a boy with a white umbrella in the rain. It was also him. And it was their first meeting. The painting captures their first meeting.

The next painting leaves jiyong breathless. The painting shows a boy who is praying hard with his both hands clasped together. And the sky was full of floating lantern.

Jiyong eyes were starting to gets teary as he watches the next one. It shows the boy who is blushing on the bus. Jiyong remembers how he embarrassed himself because of seungri.

Jiyong was stunned at the fifth painting. The painting shows his favorite moment in his whole life. It was when he was dancing with seungri. The boy was smiling in the painting just like him then. It was amazing how everything looks the same.

Jiyong slowly moves to the sixth one as he silently looks at it. It was raining. The back of the boy soaked in the rain looks so sad. Like the boy doesn’t want to move away from there. It was how jiyong looked like. Jiyong looks so sad.

             "Jiyong sunbae” jiyong feels the warmth in his body when he hears that familiar calling. Even after all these years, seungri still gives him warmth. He turns around slowly and carefully looks at the man in front of him. It was like a dream. It doesn’t feel real to see seungri in front of him. Seungri was late, very late, but seungri did return to him.

Jiyong has so many things to ask seungri. Jiyong wanted to hit him for not coming earlier. But right now, at this moment, all jiyong wanted to do is –

“I missed you seungri” hugging seungri tightly and not letting go of him from now on.
