When Kris turned, Tao can tell that his arm is not the only place hurt on his body, he kind of feeling sorry for him. And he absolutely have no thoughts of handing him to the police, nothing of that sort even crossed his mind.

Kris stood there for few moments just staring at the guy, he doesn’t know if this because of the shock (he never expected to be caught like this), or if it’s because of the pain (his arm is giving him a really hard time to concentrate, he’s not even sure enough if the pain is only coming from there), or was it just the guy standing in front of him, looking at him as if nothing is wrong.

A few moments, he breathed, and pointed the gun at him “Don’t move… I won’t hurt you, I’ll leave in sometime, so just stay calm… don’t make a sound” he said, leaning his back on the wall

“Are you okay?” Tao asked, calmly, he kind of felt that he’s not gonna hurt him, maybe he only came here because the house looked somehow empty, if he wanted he could’ve shot him the moment he put eye on him

Kris stood there dumbfounded, ‘is he serious?’ he thought, there’s someone who is pointing a gun to his head and he’s asking him if he’s okay

“Really” he asked, not sure if he heard him right, his vision is somehow unclear, and the pain is so much for him to be in a right mind, maybe he heard wrong

“Yes, really, are you okay?” Tao asked again, now he’s sure of what he wants, maybe for the first time in his life he’s gonna do something out of the usual. Something that his father has no opinion in, and for some reason he just wants to help the guy.

“Do I seem okay?” Kris asked, putting his hand down, he doesn’t need to point a gun at this guy’s head, if he shot him, they’ll hear from the outside, and he’s not feeling good at all, he’s gonna faint any moment. He’s not even sure if the gun shot would get to the boy, there’s a high possibility that he would miss, moreover he doesn’t even remember how many times he used the gun outside, maybe it’s empty by now.

How about this, if this gonna be his last moments as a free person, maybe his last moments alive, then he should keep on having fun right?

Tao was gonna ask again, he knows he’s not okay, but he kind of feels he needs to ask, but he was cut as the guy laughed, the gun is already on the floor. He blinked a few times before totally considering the situation: the guy is shot, in his arm, and his thigh, he looks like he was running for hours, the police outside are for sure after him, he got caught, he can’t hold the gun properly anymore, it’s already on the floor but still, he’s laughing, like nothing is wrong, like he’s done with everything in his life and has no troubles dying.

“I guess this is it, I’m done, you can call them if you want, I’ll die either way. That was fun… I only have one thing to hope for. I hope that Lu won’t die, I thought maybe I would get out of this and help him, but seems like it won’t happen”
