ONE
Forever and Always“I love you forever, forever and always..” his voice was growing weaker with every word but his eyes, which never left Dara’s, never lost their intensity. It was as if he was trying to convey everything he feels for her right then. Pleading with her to remember just how much he loves her. Trying to compress the millions of I love yous he would have said to her in the lifetime they planned to spend together in the few words he was still able to say.
Dara held his hand tighter. Maybe if she held on tight enough he would too. In the background, there were sniffles and sobs being held back by their family and closest friends but for the two of them, only they exist. Jiyong and Dara. Dara and Jiyong.
Two people who have been through so much together and apart. They fell in love so quickly, so deeply it blinded them to the rest of the world.
While she inspired him, she also brought out the jealous, paranoid and possessive caveman that Jiyong never knew existed within him. He wanted her to be just for him. He grew selfish with her, resenting all the fan boys that could publicly declare their affection for his girl, hated how close she got to other males whenever she guested in shows or projects without him or her members. He was proud of her, of how she charms almost everyone she meets. Sure, there were haters but they were the people who didn’t take the time to get to know her. Who judged her without giving her a chance to show them her true beauty, the one that shines through her kindness, the care she gives her friends, her fans and the innate goodness in her. He’s actually torn between being happy and pissed off about that. He’s pissed off, because Dara is just awesome and she doesn't deserve the hate; happy because it means less people who want her attention. He wants her to focus on him. He wanted to control her clothes, who she interacted with, the course of her career and how she spent her time.
She on the hand blossomed with the knowledge that he loved her and believed in her but at the same time, being loved by him also brought out her worst insecurities. She was always being judged as not good enough, not talented enough, not beautiful enough for him. Never enough. She has always been open about having to try a bit harder than other girls because she’s not as good at them at their fortes. But she has her good qualities too. Hand her a camera and you surely won’t get bored. Her antics, though some find a bit childish, never fail to bring smiles to the viewers and she’s proud of that. Being a performer is not only about technical skills but also about passion and the ability to bring happiness to people. If she can make someone smile, brighten someone’s day then she’s doing her job. With her insecurity came the jealousy, she always compared herself to this idol or that model and in her eyes she always lost. This caused her periods of depression and stress wherein she had to force herself to be cheerful Dara in front of other people
He caged her. Kept her within the walls of YG Entertainment. Sure, she agreed with him when he pointed out that it might not be the time for her to join the cast of an upcoming drama series or that a collaboration with that idol might not be the best move for her right now or how that d
