Hyomin and the rest of T-ara are Student Councils.

Hyomin & Fany knew each other by face or name. They would only exchange formal greetings or sometimes not at all.

Two hours before midnight and Tiffany was pacing back and forth. She was debating whether she will go up the roof again or not? Whether her ninja girl will show up or not?

One hour before midnight and still Fany is debating the same thing and still pacing.

30 minutes.

5 minutes and Fany started to panic because she wasted so much time. She hurriedly placed the chair on her bed and opened the window and went up to the roof. She was surprised that she managed to get up in so little time without making any accident or noise.

Fany was swinging her feet while waiting for a certain someone. She felt someone standing beside her. The sight was cute because her ninja was standing awkwardly as if unsure if she should approach Fany or not.

“I thought you wouldn’t come.” Fany said.

The ninja girl tilted her head as if asking why while showing a pinky swear.

“I see. So you don’t break your promises?”

Shakes head before seating beside Fany.

Fany looked up to the starry sky and started sharing, “I used to watch the stars from this window. But one night or last night, I got tired of it and I felt a sudden urge to go up here. So I pull up a chair placed it my bed sat on this very spot. I was being surrounded by the stars. It felt surreal. I was enjoying the moment until…”

Fany can’t help but laugh when she saw her companion giving her ‘peace’ sign asking for forgiveness.

“Haha don’t worry. If you hadn’t come then I don’t think I’ll enjoy it as much as I do. Having a company is more fun than watching alone.” Fany said. “Though I got to ask. Why were you on my roof last night? You’re not running away from someone right? Or were you stalking me?”

Shakes head.

“Where you planning on stealing from someone?”

Shakes head furiously.

“I was just teasing you, relax. Then why?”

The other made an “I don’t know” sign.

“Did you know I was here last night?”

Shakes head.

“That explains why you were equally shocked as I was”

Nods.

“So you just randomly landed on my roof while jumping around the the roofs? Is that what you’re saying?”

Nods.

“Like fate or something?”

Thinks for a while then nods.

Leaving the conversation at that, both decided to watch the stars. It was a quiet and comfortable moment.

She looked at her person beside her and asked, “You like watching the stars too?”

Nods.

“I like looking at them. It’s like they put me to sleep.”

The girl made an action with her hands making Fany burst into laugh.

“Haha yes like the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”

Nods continuously.

Tiffany started singing the nursery rhyme while the other does the hand gestures.

So even if the other refused to talk and insist on using actions, she still didn’t fail to make Tiffany burst into laughing. They were having a fun conversation if it was even called a conversation. These conversations continued for the rest of the other midnights. They were both enjoying their time together. In fact Fany was getting better on getting on and off the roof because of their midnight dates hangouts.

One midnight made one of the best midnight moments to date for Tiffany was when she heard her ninja giggle. It was the sweetest sound ever.

“I heard you giggle.”

Shakes head.

“Oh yes I did”

Shakes head.

Tiffany started to tickle making her ninja giggle. She kept on until her ninja made a whining sound.

“Ahh so cute.” Tiffany was sure that her ninja is now pouting. She does not have to see it to be sure. She just knows. She pinched the others cheek while saying, “Mianhe.” She felt the other broke into smile.

This is a simple yet memorable moment for Tiffany and who knows maybe for the other girl as well.

After class dismissal, Hyomin went to her hiding spot. She goes there when she wants to sleep or relax during school time. She decided to catch on some rest before going to the student council meeting. Time must have traveled fast or maybe she slept so soundly that she missed the first alarm.

Eventually Hyomin woke up panicking upon seeing the time. She is sure that Soyeon will scold her if she’s late. She ran towards the building. The student council room is on the 4^th floor. She’ll be late even if she ran through the stairs. Hyomin stepped back and studied the building. She was calculating how she can climb up to the 4^th floor using her recently acquired ‘ninja moves’. Actually she practiced parkour where she can jump off and on high buildings.

She was lucky that school day is over so the school was not crowded. Hyomin took a few more steps ready to jump when…

“Park Hyomin!” Sso called out.

“Soyeon?”

“What do you think your planning on doing?”

“Nothing…” Hyomin lied.

But Soyeon can see through anything. “Here help me carry these.”

“What are all these papers?”

“Council duties.”

“Man, how can you do all these?”

“With all your help of course.” Sso replied making Hyomin groaned. “So I heard you have this ninja obsession now?”

“Yup”

“Seriously?”

“What? It’s cool.”

“So what do you do? Wear black suits and jump off roofs?” Sso asked trying to be funny.

Hyomin just kept on nodding.

“What? Seriously?! Yah! That’s dangerous in all aspects.”

“I’m being careful and stealth.”

Sso can only shake her head. She knew that there is no way she can persuade her friend otherwise. Especially that this weirdo is a very stubborn one. She wonders why can’t Hyomin have a normal hobby? She gave up trying to find that answer a very long time ago. She can only wish for her friend’s safety. And how she prays that Hyomin will get over this ninja obsession soon... as well as all those weird obsessions.

On the other side of the school

“Fany! I almost missed dance practice today. This is all your fault.” Yuri whined.

“Why is it my fault?” Fany asked.

“Yeah why is it unnie’s fault?” Seo asked.

They were all resting after practicing for the school event. Their club is going to perform in an event organied by the student council.

“Well, Fany always reminds us of our schedules so…” Yuri explained.

“So you always rely on Fany unnie?” Seo asked.

“Come on Hyunnie. How can we not when Fany unnie knows our entire schedule and keeps on reminding us all the time?” Yoona commented siding on Yuri.

“Fany is like a manager. I think she will be a manager after our graduation.” Soo teased.

“Well, I don’t know any of your schedules now so you guys just have to remind yourself.” Tiffany stated shocking everyone.

“Mwo? Who are you?” They were all eyeing Tiffany.

“Will you all stop overreacting? This is still me. I just have no time to check all your schedules.” Fany said.

“Waiiit… what is happening?”

“I think I smell something…”

“There is something you’re not telling us… spill.”

“Are you dating?”

“I think she is?”

“How come we didn’t know anything about this?”

“When did it started?”

“Who is it?”

“Hey hey hey! I am here you know. Stop talking nonsense.” Tiffany wanted to put a stop at her friends crazy antics.

“Nonsense?! It’s not nonsense Fany. We are sure there is something you are not telling us.”

“Yeah, you even rarely join our chat group.”

“Didn’t you guys think that maybe I’m already asleep?” Tiffany lied.

“I don’t think so Unnie. You always yawn in our classes.”

“From first to our last class you yawn non-stop.”

“What’s weird is that after you yawn you smile and then it’s like your back to life again.”

“Clearly something is up.”

“You are up after midnight maybe talking to someone… but not us.”

“Aish…you all think too much!” Was all Tiffany can say before preparing to leave her friends.

While her friends share knowing looks. “Well, if I were you. Instead of just talking on the phone or chatting, I’d rather meet up with this person and go out on a date.” Hyo said in an extra loud voice making sure Fany heard her.

“Or maybe grab something to eat while at it. One can be hungry after talking for hours you know…” Soo joined in.

“Staying up after midnight is not very good in your health especially if you do it all the time.” Surprisingly even Seo joined the teasing.

“Midnight that’s when I feel hungry the most.” Yoona shared.

“It’s always nice to talk and eat.” Yuri commented.

Her friends are really good at this. She can be caught in no time. She is not yet ready to share about ‘her ninja girl’ to her friends because they would pester her for sure. Who knows they might even spy on them. Tiffany shrugs at the thought of her friends spying on them and teasing her.

But before going home, Tiffany went to the convenient store to buy some snacks. She stayed for almost half an hour carefully choosing a snack.
