Kyungsoo's POV

"Jongin-ah, wait up..!" Kyungsoo panted as he chased Kai down the esclators of the mall. Why is Jongin so fast? By the time Kyungsoo got to bottom of the escalator, Jongin was already out the door. Kyungsoo followed him frantically outside and looked around to see if he could find any trace of the boy he loved. Is is really too late now? Have I really given you so much hurt that you can't look at me now?? 

Kyungsoo had chased Jongin all the way to a nearby park they used to play during their childhood. Just then, he saw a figure sitting on the park bench. It was already 6:00 p.m., and the place was gettubg dark. Filled with uncertainty, Kyungsoo walked toward the figure, and recognised Jongin's face immediately. He fidgeted with his fingers, unsure of what to say to him. Slowly and carefully, Kyungsoo seats down next to Jongin, and begins talking. "Hey... Are you okay? I'm really really sorry... I didn't know you had feelings for me... I always talked about Chanyeol in front of you and never considered your feelings... But now I know, and I really want to mend our friendship and make this work!" Kyungsoo blushed as the words came out of his mouth. His cheeks turned a deeper shade of red when Jongin turned to look at him.

Kyungsoo took this as a queue to keep going. "I-I w-we m-me and C-Chanyeol decided to break off our engagement... We realised that we were both in love with someone else. He loved Baekhyun and I-I w-well I-I..." Kyungsoo was scared and nervous. He felt Jongin's intense stare on him as he continued to talk, "I like you, K-Kim Jongin." Kyungsoo shut his eyes, afraid of what was to come. But a reponse from Jongin never came. Cautiously, Kyungsoo opened his eyes. However, this time, he found Jongin looking down at the floor, as if he didn't want to look at Kyungsoo. Kyungsoo felt an ache in his chest. D-Does Jongin not love me anymore..? B-but I-I-

Kyungsoo's thoughts were interrupted by Jongin's soft voice," K-Kyungsoo... Thank you, but I've already moved on from you. I'm in love with someone else now. I thought I would never fall for him, but as I saw how much pain he was suffering from the one he loves, I also felt my heart ache for him. I'm sorry Kyungsoo-ah..."

W-what..? D-did Jongin just reject my confession? B-but doesn't he love me? I thought I thought--- 

Kyungsoo couldn't believe what he was hearing. Just a moment ago, he was told that Kim Jongin had been in love with him all along, and that he was hurting everytime he saw him together with Chanyeol. Jongin was also the one he danced with at the ball. Weren't they supposed to be each other's destinies? "B-But.. I-I thought..."
