Chapter 6
Just stay, for onceHe walked towards me and grabbed my hand and pulled me along with him. We went to the rooftop together and settled down on the bench which I always sit on during break time. Then he sighed and peered into my eyes. It was still as dull as this morning. I was searching for the sparkles but found none. It was disappointing.
"It was...it's just my mum. She arranged a meet up with one of their business partner's daughter." I could see that he really didn't want it with the way he had said it.
"If that's the case, why do you seem to be so disappointed? You should be happy since she's one of your parents' business partner's daughter. She must be very elegant and beautiful too, who simply matches with you" I said to him. Not sure where the "simply matches you" come from. To be honest, I don't understand why I'm feeling sad.
He looked into my eyes again and opened his mouth to say something but didn't. He stared at me and finally said "it's not about the looks, Ara. I've told my mum about it but she didn't listen, instead, she said that I must attend the meet up." With that he looked away. "And I don't wanna marry someone whom I don't have any feelings for and I don't wanna marry someone for business matters."
I didn't know what to say so I just stay quiet but I was suddenly started by Jongin. He came towards me and gave me an embrace. Blueberry and cotton candy. That's Jongin's scent. We stayed there for quite a long time and if I'm not mistaken we stayed there even after break time ends because I heard the bell rang from the door connected to the hallway. "Thanks for everything, Ara. I felt better and thank you for the toasts too. I'm sorry you had to skip classes just to accompany me."
Jongin finally smiled. It's his puppy smile which I loved to see. "It's nothing Jongin. Well I had to repay your kindness right?" He arched one of his brows as to ask what am I talking about. "Last night. The walk, remember?" He laughed and just kinda nudged me.
"That's really nothing Ara. Will you quit bringing it up? I really just wanna be sure you're safe aight?" He told me. I don't know why, but little things like this is starting to touch me. I smiled at him and said that we shall get going and he just nodded. I hope I really did cheer him up. And I'm sure I did because he was smiling brightly now. After we got our bags from our class, we went home separately because Jongin suddenly remember he has another session of dance practice.

After I got home, I suddenly realized that our exams starts next week. Exactly one week more. I got nervous and I can't help but to rush into the shower room and take a super quick shower. Then after that, I skipped dinner started flipping through my notes to note down short notes and did some past year papers. I was disappointed because I did a lot of careless mistakes. I decided I should bring these papers to school tomorrow to ask for help from my teachers, so I fell asleep wanting to smell Jongin's scent. I don't know why I felt that way but it's addicting.
The next morning I arrived at school with Jongin waiting for me by the lobby. As soon as he saw me he waved at me with a bright smile. I went to him and he asked if I
