Chapter 15

...I don't want to wake up....

He often wondered why he sees such things when he's put to sleep. Those faraway memories... Those tears he cried... Was he crying at that moment? Was anyone there? he hoped not. He didn't like to cry in front of people. No, really. He didn't.

....Haruka.... Wake up....

Please, wake up.....

Why would he? Why would he wake up and go back to the miserable life that was waiting for him? He wished the voices in his head went away, leaving him to be, but they didn't. They were presistent. They belonged to someone he knew...

Haruka!

If he wasn't mistaken, that voice belonged to Minwoo... Yes, it was his voice. The way he clinged to Haruka made the latter feel... Weird. Apart from his twin, no one was really trying be get closer to him. But Minwoo was different. They were all different. They were his friends...

You have to wake up, Haruka. You can't leave us!

Now he wondered, why was he actually listening to their voices? Why was he considering making up his mind on waking up again? Such influence... No one has ever been able of making haruka think twice on a dicision he was going to make. Reflecting on the past days he spent with BOYFRIEND, he came to realize a few things...

First, the six idols cared for him, like he was one of them. He was just too stubborn and arrogant to show gratitude. 

Minwoo was not as noisy as his twin was. It was a comforting truth, though he misses his brother's noisiness most of the time. He himself can be as noisy as the older twin is, but he has his reasons.

Jeongmin's snoring was nothing compared to the creaking of his old room's door. He felt thankful. Really....

He and Donghyun had a lot in common. He was just too busy to notice how the older was so much like him, but just...older.

The Jo twins reminded him of his and his own twin, which is the primary reason he tried to keep away from them, but get close to them at the same time. He probably didn't want to remember that warm feeling he used to have whenever his twin was close. He missed it, and didn't want to cry over his loss in public. That plan failed, anyway.

Hyunseong made him realize he needed an older brother that is not his twin. It was fun to have someone with that personality around, one of the main reasons he liked his former band mate, R.K.

Oh, and Hyunseong was really good at cooking.

Surprisingly, that was enough to impress Haruka. Deep down, he knew he wanted to live on, at least till he has returned the favour his new band mates. Moreover, he thought of Ruki... His little girl has spent so little time with him... Her mother has abandoned her... he didn't want to do the same. She needed him, her father. Not even his brother can take his place in her heart...

Though he wasn't really sure of that. Personally, he would prefer if his uncle was in his father's place. He has no experince if we talk about feeling fatherly love.

I have to get up... I have to... For them... For Ruki.... For Terumi... For all of them... I...have to....

Beep....Beep....Beep....Beep...

Haruka's eyes opened slowly, blinded by a lot of white. He realized three things. One: though he had had an operation, he didn't feel any kind of pain anywhere. Two: Oxygen masks forced him to breathe. He doesn't like to be forced into doing anything. Three: there was some weight on his body, but he was not able to make out what was the cause of it.

It took him some time to realize it was someone sleeping. First logical answer was Ruki, but this body was heavier. He tried to move a little, but the sleeping person was keeping him in place. Then it occured to him. Only one person would do that.

"...Teru..." he murmured, groaning in annoyance as he ripped off the oxygen mask. "...Terumi... Is that you...?" he murmured. The sleeping figure moved a little then got up. Teary crimson eyes met Haruka's, and it took the older some time to find his voice.

"I was so worried." he cried, hugging Haruka tight, crying onto his shoulder. Haruka hugged back and rubbed his back soothingly.

"...I'm okay..." he replied, gasping in realization. "M-my voice... It's back...!" Terumi pulled away and nodded as his twin. "The surgery went well then..."

"It was not the surgery that was worrying me..."

"Huh...?" Just at that moment, a very worried-looking Minwoo burst it.

"Haruka, yoou're finally up!" he excliamed, hugging Haruka tight. "You worried all of us...." The other five walked in. Haruka eyed them all with clueless but curious eyes.

"...W-wait... I-I don't get it..." he trailed off. "Why do you all look so....stressed....?" Hyunseong walked over to his side and sat down.

"Well... You have been in a coma for 5 weeks...." he said. haruka's eyes widened in surprise.

"F-five weeks...?!" Hyunseong nodded and wrapped his arm around Haruka's shoulders.

"Yeah, but now you are up, little brother." he smiled. "We were all so worried you may not make it..."

"Dr.Simon blamed himself for everything..." Jeongmin added. 

"Yeah. I wonder where he is now.." Kwangmin mused. "I'll go find him." he left.

"Where is Ruki...?"

"Asleep." Youngmin sighed. "Seems that she took things so very lightly..." Haruka nodded absentmindedly, staring at the white covers. "Terumi-san kept telling her you were sleeping, and she believed it...Gladly.."

"Really?" Haruka laughed a little.

"Yeah, but beware, she is mad at you." he warned. Before Haruka could reply, a very angry-but-cute-looking Ruki stomped into the room, marching to her father's bed. Terumi glanced sideways at Haruka, who gave him a knowing wink and smiled innocently at Ruki. The little girl climbed onto the bed, pouting as she faced some difficulties, but went back to her glare, folding her arms.

"What do you think you are doing, sleeping all the time like that, ne?" she asked in a scolding tone. Haruka took a deep breath and smiled charmingly, reaching out to caress the girl's face gently. 

"Ohayou, my princess..." he winked, pulling out a red rose fron behind her ears, handing it to her. She forgot everything she had prepared to say and stared in awe at the rose.

"How did you do that?" she asked eagerly. Haruka chuckled.

"Himitsu da..." he smiled. She nodded with a giggle, placing herself onto his lap, playing with the rose. Terumi blinked then leaned towards Haruka.

"..Say...How did you do it...?" he whispered. Haruka just sighed, shaking his head.

"You're hopeless." he said. Terumi puffed his cheeks.

"Aw, come on!" he whined.

"No."

"I'm older than you."

"It's just a 3-seconds difference, Terumi..."

"Still." The K-Pop idols couldn't help but laugh at the twins, who kept arguing back and forth until Kwangmin and Simon were back. Simon immediately made his way over to Haruka and bowed.

"Gomen nasai, Haruka!" he apologized, not even looking up at Haruka. "I made a horrible mistake... I almost killed you..." he added, shaking a little.

"Simon..."

"I... I put you to sleep on purpose..." the doctor admitted. "I knew you were stubborn, and that you would never listen to my warnings... So I thought... I thought this would solve the problem, but... I caused bigger problems... Your circulatory system was not functioning well, your heart almost stopped. The changes in your heartbeat rates were horrifying... It's all my fault. I-I should not work as a doctor anymore. Haruka-"

"Oh, when are you planning to stop this?" Haruka cut in, rolling his eyes. "It's not your fault...partially, but really, I don't blame you." He added. Simon looked up at him with surprised eyes.

"Really..?"

"Yeah, I was thinking of committing suicide anyway." He said casually. Everyone gasped in shock. Ruki looked at them, then turned to Haruka.

"What is suicide?" she asked.

"Something you shouldn't think of." he asnswered. She smiled immediately.

"Oh. Oh. Like you and Hyunseong-appa kissing?" she asked giggling. Haruka stared at her with wide eyes.

"...Ruki... Please do not spend too much time with Terumi..." he replied, turning away to hide his face, which, by pure coincidence, was the same action Terumi was doing. Minwoo stifled a laugh, and the others just chuckled to themselves.

"It's not my fault you are trying to learn how a sloth lives." she pouted, turning away from him. 

After arrangments were made, Haruka was allowed to leave the hospital. He was forced into going to BOYFRIEND's dorm by Minwoo, again. They said they had to celebrate his return to them, and of course, with Terumi there, celebration meant one thing. Alcohol and silly games.

Oh wait, those were two things... Oh well. At least everything was back to normal.

Not exactly. Before they could even celebrate anything, Haruka got a call from one of his old friends, who had heard about what happened to Haruka. 

"It would be a wonderful reunion party, Haruka." He called over the phone. "And... We owe you an apology."

"I do too.." the former idol admitted. "Can we meet up in my house?"

"Sure, I'll inform the rest of this. See ya!" he hung up. Minwoo pulled at Haruka's sleeves and whispered.

"Are we invited...?" he asked. Haruka smiled an nodded. 

"Of course you are." he said, putting his arm around Minwoo's neck. "But don't think of trying to find my camera... I hid it well..." he whispered. Minwoo didn't know why Haruka's voice sent a shiver down his spine almost everytime he whispered. He couldn't help but get the image of Haruka being an evil villain with that voice of his. Not even Terumi's voice had that vibe. Haruka had a unique voice of his own.

After informing his new friends of the time they would be meeting up at, which was a late time to meet up with people, Haruka went back to his apartment, along with his twin. And then started the long argument about Haruka's messed up diary. Terumi didn't deny he added that part, but instead, he fought to prove he was right, and made a plan to settle all of this commotion later at the party. 

And Haruka didn't like the way he looked at him...
