Soonyoung & Seokmin: hehe 

Who are the closest to each other in Seventeen? Hm…  It’s hard to say. There are Mingyu and Wonwoo who stick to each other the majority of the time, Seungcheol and Jihoon who have been training together for the longest, Jisoo and Junghan who seem to have some special bond with each other and well, all the seventeen members are quite close to each other. But if you were to ask who seems like they’ve been best friends forever, out of all the possibilities, a definite choice would be Soonyoung and Seokmin. When they’re together, nothing seems to be in their way, they are like a fox and a hound, basically, crazy.

Their sanity is always being questioned each and every day, especially before their regular 2am practice. The two would go pretend to be asleep or rest when Seungcheol tells everyone to, but only to sneak out a while after hearing other member’s snore and go out to their apartment staircase, dressed in their pyjamas. What would they do? Of course, they would do their usual favourite thing to do together. And what is their favourite thing to do together? Telling jokes.

“Soonyoung~”

Two boy’s giggles can be heard echoed up and down the staircase late at night.

“Seokmin~”

Sometimes, those giggles actually end up scaring their neighbors, causing the rumour of two ghosts playing together at the staircase to start.

“Kekeke”

Those rumours weren’t all wrong though, how it started was when the two boys decided they would scare people when the lights that day were broken, and had grabbed two bed sheets, flung it around themselves and waited the whole night for someone to come. While they were waiting, they told jokes, and the laughter that echoed the room was definitely something, someone would scream at. That was what had actually happened, and when the two boys ran down to apologize after laughing more at the scream, they had forgotten to get rid of their bed sheets and had scared the poor manager (they found out later) to the point where he quit working for Seventeen and is now working with trainees. The members of Seventeen swore to never speak of it again, but of course, the two criminals mention it whenever they got the chance to, just for fun they say.

“Don’t you think our busy schedules are affecting our jokes?” Soonyoung asked after a deep sigh. The boy sat down on the staircase and looked at the other boy, tilting his head a little. His face resembled a puppy pouting, which definitely pulled on the other’s heart-strings.

“What do you mean?” Seokmin had just finished singing to himself adore u while practicing in front of Soonyoung and asked.

“As in, our late night talking sessions are so short” The older sighed once again. It’s the truth, after practicing and running around for their busy schedules, their session had gone from 2 to 3 hours minimum to less than an hour.

“I guess you’re right… but it’s not like we can do anything about it” Seokmin sighed; the usual gummy bright smile just couldn’t show itself.

“It’s a shame” Soonyoung stood up and approached the other. “I can hardly spend any time with you because of it, and plus, me being in the performance unit and you being in the vocal unit makes it even harder when we split up for practice” He continued with a frown.

The younger laughed and placed both hands on the other’s shoulder, looking at him in the eyes. “It’s okay, we’re still having fun right? And it’s not like our sessions have stopped or anything, but, it really is tiring” he reassured the other, but ending with a yawn.

“Ah! See! You’re tired already! That’s not fair” Soonyoung frowned even more, if that was possible, and patted his left shoulder to indicate to the other that he can lean on him and rest.

“Nothing in this world is fair though” Seokmin grinned, leaning on the other as if they were a couple.

There was silence for a while as Seokmin closed his eyes and began to fall asleep. If you suddenly appeared in the staircase while going home late, there is no doubt you would immediately go back to where you were and take another route, because for you, it would’ve looked like a couple were finally able to show off their affection for each other late at night.

To them, it was just a normal everyday thing they’d like to do whenever one of them were a little too tired.

“Hey hey” Soonyoung started off quietly, nudging the other by moving his shoulder.

“Hm?” Seokmin moved his head slightly, but didn’t raise it.

“What do you call a big pile of kittens?”

“Oh no”

“A meowntain”

“Soonyoung can you not”

“What do you call a dinosaur with extensive vocabulary?”

“I know that one! A Thesaurus!” Seokmin said excitedly, raising his head up now to look at the other and smile.

At the sight, Soonyoung smiled as well, and they both showed each other their sincere bright smile that had been gone for a while now.

The two of them continued to tell jokes to each other, laughing and hitting each other whenever they felt like their stomachs would burst. Although it was the night, it seemed like morning to them, as their bright smiles made them feel as if they had just woken up after a long fulfilling sleep and have all their energy back.

If it was the morning though, one cannot simply forget about breakfast.

“Man- Laughing so much is making me hungry” The older one started, placing both his hands on his stomach before breathing heavily.

“How would you think of pizza?” Seokmin pointed out suddenly, after thinking carefully for a while.

“Pizza for a midnight snack? Nice!” Soonyoung looked at the other as if he had just made the best idea ever. He realized after looking at the other’s face carefully that he had some sort of intentions behind it.

“You want to hear a pizza joke?”

“Oh my god n-“

“Nevermind~ It’s pretty cheesy”

With Seokmin’s joke made before an evil face appeared on his face and a face-palming Soonyoung, the two then moved onto a mini hitting and giggling session where they ended up sitting down on the dirty floor again with both their hands on their stomach.

Afterwards, when they had calmed down and both the boys agreed that pizza would be the best choice for a midnight snack, they had made a quick phone call to the nearest pizza store.

“Hey hey” Now, the younger one had started the conversation off.

“Now what”

Seokmin looked at the other, who was quietly chewing his pizza off suddenly.

“There’s something I’ve never told you before”

Soonyoung, realizing that the other had turned serious, quickly gulped down his pizza and moved closer to him, as if he was ready for a deep conversation. “Yes?”

“I think, Soonyoung”

“Yea…?”

“I think-“

“You think what, hurry up!” The older was getting impatient, not that he wanted to, but he realized that Seokmin’s face had turned a little pink and was eager to know what was on the other’s mind.

“I think you stole a pizza my heart”

With that, Seokmin looked at the other with puppy-like eyes, a blushing face, but slowly raised a slice of pizza up, to show that he had just made a joke.

“Are you serious”

“Hehe”

“Oh my god, Seokmin!”

The other boy grabbed the pizza out of the other’s hand, placed it down and started hitting him playfully again, both laughing but both turning pink for their own reasons.

“If you’re going to play this way then-!” Soonyoung grabbed both of the younger’s hands and pinned him down on the floor.

“W-What are you doing?” Seokmin’s faced turned red as he tried to avoid the other’s eye contact.

“Hey, do you have a map?”

“What. Why would I-“

“I’m getting lost in your eyes”

The two stared at each other for a, well, very long time.

“Are you a banana?”

“Because I find you a-peeling” Soonyoung ended off Seokmin’s question with a cheesy grin and sat back up along with the other.

“Are we really going to do this all night?” Seokmin asked the other, looking at the older with an innocent smile.

“As long as you don’t mind, hehe” Soonyoung answered with an innocent smile himself.

Honestly, Seokmin really did think Soonyoung stole a piece of his heart. All the members of seventeen had admitted that their hearts were shared evenly between the other 12 members excluding themselves, in a platonic way of course. But in reality, Soonyoung seemed to have stolen more than a piece of Seokmin’s heart away. 

Soonyoung: Guess what i'm wearing?

Seokmin: what?

Soonyoung: The smile you gave me /grins/

Seokmin: Your hand looks heavy, let me hold it for you 

Soonyoung: You're so beautiful, you made me forget my pickup line 

Seokmin: I hope you know CPR, cus you take my breath away!

Soonyoung: Seokmin, I do know CPR c;

Seungcheol: Guys stop being weird- 

Soonyoung & Seokmin: hehe, this has been, SOONSEOK TALK!

Sorry for the wait! This is the shortest chapter i think.. and i'm not really proud of how it went but i hope you'd still like it!

Tomorrow is Wonwoo's birthday! Hurray! So i'm working on maybe uploading two chapters tomorrow hehe, if not, then i will just upload a Wonwoo one (if the wifi is nice like today)
