"Another night alone," Jinyoung whispered softly as he laid down on his cold mattress. He was always the one singled out. Bambam and Yugyeom got along well because they're maknae line. Mark and Jackson are the English speakers, so they feel more at home with each other. It was just JB and Youngjae who got him upset. He couldn't understand their pairing.

"It didn't used to be like that," he scolded as he turned to his side and began to reminisce of the earlier days.

Jaebum and Jinyoung had auditioned to JYP separately, but tied in the 5th Open Auditions; Jinyoung noticed it as fate. The two became great friends and worked well with each other. They were also always around each other due to their similar schedule.

The two began to learn more about each other, like how Jinyoung always speaks in his Busan dialect when he's upset and how Jaebum is always clingy when he feels alone. It felt like an honor to Jinyoung that he knew a lot about Jaebum because the elder was honestly a cold person that didn't open up to just anyone. It took a special person. Jinyoung liked to believe that he was Jaebum's special person, and Jaebum was his. They had also friends who were trainees as well, people such as Mark, Jackson, and Bambam, but they weren't close to then compared to each other. However, all the people they met under JYP recognized how the two were like peas in a pod.

Their first public appearance was being a cameo in the music video "Tasty San" by San E. That's when it started feeling real for the two. Although they didn't play a significant role in the music video, they were still in a music video for the public to see.

"Jinyoung-ah!" Jaebum yelled as he ran to his other half, giving him a big hug after the recording was over.

"It feels so close. Soon, we'll be the main stars a music video, singing and rapping our own song." Jinyoung teared up as he whispered those words into Jaebum's ear. They were so close to their dream that their hearts hurt in anticipation.  

The trainee life wasn't all glitters and gold, even with each other. One time, JYP stressed the trainees even more, saying he was going to even make more cuts. There were huge arguments in the practice room over who had more talent than others. It was inevitable to have arguments as the trainees did not want to give up their dream. The biggest one caused trainees to leave the company because they couldn't deal with the others. One of those trainees was Peniel, who transferred to Cube Entertainment. The one who lead the argument was no other than Jinyoung, disappointing Jaebum.

The two trained until they were called up to the main office in early 2012 by the CEO. They were called into the office in the middle of their dance lesson, getting curious looks from their peers as they left.
