“Omg Sooyoung, shut up! That was just sarcasm. And for the record, I wouldn’t even consider that a kiss,” Irene said while rubbing her throbbing head.

“What the hell? Didn’t she reject you not too long ago? What was that girl thinking?!”

“I don’t know, maybe she wasn’t thinking. And can you please keep your voice down? It’s not helping my headache at all.”

“Oh, my bad. Get some rest, we’ll talk more about it later,” Sooyoung said. She walked over to Irene’s bed and pulled the blanket over her.

After hearing Irene’s incoherent mumbling through the phone, Sooyoung cancelled whatever plans she had that day with her friends and came running back to the apartment. There, she found Irene coughing and perspiring with her head on the kitchen counter. When she carried the older girl to the bed, Irene had told her about the events that happened in the mere two hours that she wasn’t home. Sooyoung was more than angry at what Seulgi had done. How dare Seulgi play with her sister’s heart like that! If it wasn’t for Irene holding her back, Sooyoung was about to go look for Seulgi and beat the crap out of her, even if she has no idea where that dumb bear lives.

The knocking on the door made Sooyoung stop whatever she was doing in the kitchen to go open it. And standing in front of the door was the cutest girl Sooyoung had ever seen.

“H-Hi, you must be Sooyoung. I’m Wendy, Irene’s friend,” Wendy greeted.

Sooyoung just stood there holding the door and staring at the girl. It’s not often that you see the cheeky devil so speechless.

When Wendy sensed that she wasn’t going to get a response any time soon, she asked, “Sooo can I come in?”

Her voice pulled Sooyoung back to reality and she felt embarrassed for spacing out. “Y-Yeah, sorry about that. Please come in.” Wendy smiled a thank you, not knowing how that affected poor Sooyoung’s heart.

“I called earlier and Irene said she caught a cold. Is she ok now? Did she eat yet? Drink medicine yet? Is she sleeping?”

Sooyoung’s heart dropped before it could rise any higher. Judging by the LTE speed of Wendy’s questioning, the girl is no doubt very concerned about Irene. Definitely more than a normal friend would. So based off of that, Sooyoung can guess that Wendy has the hots for her sister.

“She’s in the room right now,” Sooyoung pointed. She rolled her eyes when she felt her stupid heart skip a beat when Wendy gave her another smile before heading to Irene’s room. Maybe the heat was making her crazy for feeling such useless things, she reasoned and resumed her “cooking”.
