“SCHOOL FESTIVAL”

I can hear your heartbeat through the sound of booming fireworks

“The school festival is going to be held next week,” Jongin leaned against the wall as he fold both his arms on his chest, “I wonder what kind of event our class will be presenting...” He pursed his lip a little as he looked up on the sky above him. He can clearly saw the sakura petals fluttering on the blue sky thought spring almost come to an end.

Sehun sit up from the floor, sipping the last drop of his banana milk as he looks around the rooftop. “Probably a typical ‘a photo with prince Jongin’ booth again.” he said it with a straight face and Jongin clicked his tongue.

“Please don't remind me about that again.” He stood up as he dusted off his uniform, “I'll never agree on that if they wanted to do that again.”

Sehun stared up at Jongin and chuckled mischievously, “Yeah, right. You just don't Soojung turn her head away from you.”

“W-where did that came from?!” Jongin hide his face, blushing madly. Sehun laughed again; Jongin is really being obvious about his feelings towards Soojung.

“I keep wondering why you two aren't dating yet,” Sehun stood up next to Jongin as he lean forward on the balcony, looking down on the school backyard beneath him. “When you two obviously having a mutual feeling?”

Jongin didn't answer. He just can't answer it at the moment. He don't even know why. He really wanted to make Soojung his girlfriend, but it's hard. He is still unsure of his own feeling toward her; was it genuine? or does he only want her to be his girlfriend so that he can prove to his parents that he can find a girl on his own that suited to be his wife?

He took a deep breathe, before releasing it with a soft sigh,“I really like her, Sehun.” he spoke up, “but I kept thinking that this feeling aren't genuine at all.” he tightly on his shirt, biting his lip, “I'm afraid...I'm only using her feeling for own sake.”

Sehun tilted his head, “What the heck are you talking about?” He pat the latter on the shoulder, “You're head over-heels on her, dude! Why are you saying your feeling aren't genuine? What is going on inside your ing head?”

“I wanted to make sure that my feelings for her is true, not based on what the oath I made to my parents. I want to fall in love for real, not because for me to find a woman suitable for me. ” Jongin's eyes relaxed as he gaze on the sight of city upon him, “When I am sure of my feelings to her, then I'll tell her I love her.”

He turned to look at Sehun, “Besides, Soojung hasn't give a single clue that she loves me too. I'll wait for the day that she'll confess to me.” and he showed him the brightest smile he can pull.

Sehun stared at Jongin for a moment, before he let out a long sigh and laughed a little at the cheesy speech that came out from Jongin's mouth. He hit his bicep before headlocking the boy and dragging him down from the rooftop.

“School event representives, please come to the front.” Jongin said as soon as he finish giving a briefing about the upcoming school event that will be held a week in advance. He returned to his own seat when Sulli and her partner, Yoongi came to the front.

“This is the result of the vote we held earlier about what should we do for the school event.” Yoongi held a box full of papers and handed it to Sulli. She opened the box and the papers scattered on the table. “The most voted event will be choosen and there'll be no changes made. Is that okay?”

The class groaned but there's nothing they can do about it.

Sulli went to the chalkboard and wrote three main events that they have choose to do:

1. Maid and Butler Cafe

2. Haunted House

3. Cosplay Booth

Yoongi, with the help of the homeroom teacher, counted the votes and the students were restless on what event that'll be chosen. Sulli stood still on the chalkboard when her eyes met Sehun. He rised an eyebrow to her but she rolled her eyes from him.

After five minutes of counting the votes, finally the result is out. Sulli wrote down the total votes on each end of the events:

1. Maid and Butler Cafe = 18 votes

2. Haunted House = 16 votes

3. Cosplay Booth = 6 votes

“The result is, we will do Maid and Butler Cafe for the school festival.” Yoongi announced and the class cheered while some of them groaned.

Sulli cringe at the result too.

“The image of me wearing a maid attire made me wanted to kill myself.” she said when she returned to her seat. Soojung watched her as she chuckled softly. It's obvious she voted for the haunted house.She also can't imagine the tomboy Sulli willing to dress up as a maid. She'll look cute with a maid outfit, she thought and chuckled again.

“Soojung, what did you voted for?” Sulli leaned forward after minutes of complaining, “You wouldn't voted for the haunted house too, right?”

Soojung blushed, and fiddled her fingers as she spoke softly, “I did...voted for the haunted house.”

Sulli blinked in disbelieve as Soojung pursed her lip and carved an innocent smile to her best friend. Who would know Soojung wanted a haunted house too? That is far beyond her imagination as Soojung is somewhat afraid of horror story and darkness.

“What made you voted for that too?” Sulli rest her palm on her chin, “I thought I was the only wanted a haunted house. Turned out you wanted it too.”

“Well,” Soojung leaned to Sulli's ear to whisper, “I overheard Jongin and Sehun talking about voting for haunted house.” She blushed immediately and didn't continue the whole story. 

Sulli stared at her best friend and shook her head. Soojung smiled awkwardly at her and Sulli messed with her hair.

“You did that for him, huh?” Sulli smirked, “Hm, looks like love is floating in the air.”

Soojung didn't say anything but hide her face with both her palms. Sulli couldn't help but to laugh at her cuteness when suddenly she gasped softly, making Soojung pull her hand away from hiding her face.

“What's wrong?” Soojung asked.

“I just remembered the basketball club is also handling an event.” She knocked her head with Soojung's novel she picked up, “Ah, and here I thought I have lots of free time after my shift is over for the maid cafe. Huh...” She lumped her head on the desk and making a dying whale sound as Soojung is dying of laughing at her.

“Soojung is lucky for being in the going home club.” Sulli pouted, “I envy you.”

“There is no need to feel like that, Sulli.” She hold her hand, “I'll help you.”

Sulli's eyes widened, and looks glittery when Soojung willingly said she'll help you. She held her hands tightly and saying thank you for many times. Soojung laughed again.

“Seems lively here. What's going on?” Soojung and Sulli turned to the voice source. Turned out Jongin and Sehun were standing behind them with an amused expression.

Both the girls released their hands and looks away, “None of your bussiness.” Sulli replied coldly and Sehun clicked his tongue at her answer.

“You're saying that because you're just emberassed.” he said.

“Shut up.”

Jongin and Soojung stared at those two as they keep bickering at each other but Sulli is not even looking at Sehun's face. That make it even funnier when they just talking back to each other. Soojung unintentionally laughed and it caught Jongin's attention. She quickly hide her face and keep herself together as her face turned red as a tomato.

Jongin realized she's being cautious of him and he couldn't help but chuckled. I wanted to , he thought.

“Hey, let's go home together today.” Jongin announced unexpectedly, causing the other three turned to him in surprise.

“I AM NOT GOING HOME WITH THIS BASTARD!” Sulli pointed at Sehun.

“Who wants to go home with you? You're not even cute for me to share my umbrella.”

“WHAT THE FU—”

“L-let's go home! Together!” As soon as Soojung said that, Sulli was lost of words, and Sehun along with Jongin, stared at her in surprise. “I wanted to go home with everyone.” She said, hands gripping tightly at the hem of her skirt.

Jongin realized she's being nervous and added, “Yeah, it'll be fun once in awhile. Right, Soojung?” A smile lit up across his face, causing Soojung to averted her eyes again. She didn't say anything instead of nodding her head. Jongin blushed at the cute reaction of her and couldn't help but smiled at the sight of it.

The day of school festival is finally here. From the first year to third year have their own stalls installed at the school front and backyard. Some are opening cafes, photo booths, and haunted hause. In Gwangju High School, in every school festival that was held once in a year, there'll be a Prince and Princess contest that'll be represent by two contestants from every classes from first to third years. The most voted contestants will be crowned as the Prince and Princess for a day.

“And you're saying I'll be representing our class?” Sehun asked back with the most annoying face he can pull off when the girls were circling him with puppy eyes.

“Oh Sehun! You're a perfect combination of fire and earth! I am sure our class will win if you enter!” One of the girl said, namely Seulgi, with her both hands clapped against each other like sh
